In this special episode our Community Health Worker Supervisor, Jennifer Lansiquot, leads the baby cafe into an interview with Dr. Anne Ferrari, an Associate  Professor at Mount Saint Mary College. Together they discuss what postpartum depression is, what are symptoms of postpartum depression, how common is it, as well as what we can do to help mothers who are experiencing postpartum depression. 

In this episode we interview Liana Rivers, founder of Wellness Inspiring Spiritual Health (WISH). Together we discuss what holistic health is, why a holistic approach to wellness is important, as well as what we can do to start our journey to wellness. Liana also highlights some of the services she offers to her clients to allow them to meet their physical, mental, and spiritual needs.

In this episode we interview Orange County Legislator and Executive Director of the Desmond Center for Community Engagement and Wellness, Genesis Ramos. We get to know a little about Genesis's early life and her journey, as well as some of the work that she does in the Newburgh community. We also discuss what we can do within our own communities to have a positive impact and bring about change.

In this episode we interview Shayna Weinberg from Doula for Moms and discuss all things Doula. Shayna, a certified Birth Doula, explains to us what inspired her to become a doula, what being a doula entails, as well as the importance of having a doula throughout a pregnancy.

In this episode we interview Jill and Kathy, two health educators from the Sullivan County Public Health Department. We are also joined by members of the Baby Cafe, a virtual meeting space for parents and caregivers to come together and learn not only from one another but from health professionals as well. Together we discuss childhood immunizations; we define what childhood immunizations are, establish the risks and benefits of immunizations, as well as where we can go to receive them.

In this episode, our intern Kate interviews her professor Dr. Jessica Pabón to talk about feminism. They go over what feminism is, how we define it, and how we can practice it, in addition to topics like social media, activism, and burnout. Dr. Pabón also offers some stellar stories and advice.
