After a long hiatus, Rated G is back! This episode is bittersweet because it's Dave's last show. He'll be stepping down from hosting duties and the show will be going through some changes. But they still have a great show for you. Xbox has their first showcase of 2024 and the year looks to be strong for the green machine and the 2023 Game of the Year nominees and winners. On this month's episode of Saturday Morning Retro, Dan and Dave talk about Pro Wrestling for the NES and Fable for the original Xbox and in Our Top 3 segment, our top 3 Marvel games.

Oh we got a good one today folks! Joe Chagan returns to the show to talk all things Halo. Dan, Dave and Joe discuss the good and the bad parts of the new open world Halo, multiplayer and which entry in the series is the best. Also, the Game Awards happened last Thursday and we got the winners and all the new announcements all on episode 298 of Rated G for Gamers.

In sad news this week, a PS5 in person sale goes awry as a would-be criminal pulls a gun and tried to steal a console from a seller. Thankfully, no one was fatally injured. Dan and Dave discuss the story and ways that you can be safe when dealing with strangers online. Also in the news, It Takes Two hit by trademark claim by Take-Two Interactive, PlayStation reportedly planning Xbox Gamepass competitor and Sony gets into the restaurant biz with their PlayStation to Plate food offerings. All that and Dave takes one step closer to Skynet on episode 297.

Halo Infinite's multiplayer progression comes under fire by fans for egregious practices, the Golden Joystick 2021 winners announced,  Cyberpunk 2077 players are flooding the game's steam page with positive reviews and the new Bioshock may feature two cities, one above, one below. All that and Dan and Dave's thanksgiving weekend on episode 296.

At the top of the show, Dan and Dave celebrate their memories of the original Xbox and the Gamecube for it's 20 year anniversaries. In the news, the Game Awards 2021 nominations  are officially revealed, MultiVersus fighting game from WB officially announced,  Activision CEO Bobby Kotick back in the news for harassment and abuse claims as well as ignoring company issues for years and in some lighter news, Sega Reveals Sonic the Hedgehog, Yakuza, and Shenmue Colognes.

On this month's episode of Saturday Morning Retro, Dan and Dave talk about Little Nightmares for the Xbox One and Friday the 13th for the Commodore 64 and in our Triple R segment, the Splatterhouse series and Halloween for the Atari 2600.

Not to be outdone by Nickelodeon, Warner Bros. is rumored to be making a Smash style fighting game as a roster leaks online. Dan and Dave discuss if this is even a good idea. Also in the news, Nintendo falters out the gate launching its Expansion Pak addition to it's online membership, we get some Halo Infinite single player footage from 343 Studios and in bittersweet news, the PAX South convention is closing due to waning attendance. Best Buy rolls out a controversial membership option to its Total Tech program and the internet is divided. Dan and Dave get a little heated and discuss the ins and outs and the sad truth of why it may be the best thing we have to stop scalping at the moment.
