Manoj Shah is known for his works in the Gujarati theatre. He has directed over 90 plays, such as one-man plays & biographical plays, in different genres.

He is known primarily for his quirky biographical plays which include: Hu Chandrakant Bakshi based on the writer of the same name, Mohan No Masalo based on Mahatma Gandhi, Apurva Avsar based on Jain mystic Shrimad Rajchandra, Mareez based on poet Mareez, Jal Jal Mare Patang based on writer-philosopher Manilal Dwivedi, Karl Marx In Kalbadevi based on German philosopher Karl Marx, and Dr. Anandibai Joshi: Like, Comment, Share based on Anandi Gopal Joshi, India's first female doctor.
He produces plays under his theatre company Ideas Unlimited.

His play Mohan No Masalo was included in the Limca Book of Records for its performances in three languages (English, Hindi and Gujarati) in a single day. His biographical drama Mareez has been playing at Prithvi Theatre since 2004.
Manoj Shah was born on 5 February 1955 in Mumbai, India. He studied until the ninth grade at various schools in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
He began his career as a dance teacher and then as an actor. He decided to become a theatre director when he watched a play directed by Mahendra Joshi. He was inspired by the works of other theatre directors including Badal Sircar, Utpal Dutt and Vijaya Mehta.

He debuted as a theatre director with his play Master Phoolmani in 1999. Shah has directed and produced over 90 plays. He produces them under his production company Ideas Unlimited.
His style has been considered innovative, and his subjects contributed to bringing a cultural renaissance in Gujarati theatre. His plays dwell on literary and spiritual themes, often featuring solo actors. His protagonists tend to be either people with quirky characters or heroes in unusual circumstances.

He has made films in Gujarati like Carry on Kesar, Hindi film like Super Nani, and the latest that created history in Gujarati Film Industry and continues to run in theatres after 4 years and ₹60cr gross- Chaal Jeevi Laiye.

Vipul Mehta has worked with stalwarts be it Ekta Kapoor, Rekha, Padmarani Sarita Joshi, Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan.

Savitri Medhatul is a Mumbai based Theatre Producer, Director and
Documentary filmmaker. She is co-founder & artistic director of Kali Billi
Productions.
She worked with Junoon and Arts organisation founded by Sanjna Kapoor and
Sameera Iyengar.
Is currently a recipient of a multidisciplinary research fellowship from
University of Edinburgh 2020-23. Savitri is one of the 5 member teams selected
from India for Voices from Soth, a project funded by Edinburgh festival fringe
2022-23.
An active member of Mumbai theatre circuit Savitri has worked with Sunil
Shanbag, Akarsh Khurana, Vaman Kendre, and Geetanjali Kulkarni.
In 2015 Savitri Medhatul (co producer Natale Tumchyasathi) designed a theatre
production Sangeet Bari. This production is based on their research and the book
written by Bhushan Korgaonkar. Using the form of Documentary Theatre this
performance explores the lives of Lavani artists associated with Sangeet Bari
tradition.
Lavanyavati is the latest production designed by Savitri and produced by
Kali Billi Production which premieres at NCPA, Mumbai in Feb'23.

A production that explores the idea of Lavanyavati
(one who performs Lavani), the meaning of Lavani and Lavanyavati from the
lens of Legacy, cast and intersectional feminism and understand what Lavanyavati
represents in contemporary times. The performance includes family archives and
video documentation and live performance by hereditary,non hereditary and
queer lavani performers.

Ojas also periodically emcees for our PM Shri Narendra Modi's events, among others. His play "Sabarmati Ke Sant" is a biopic on Mahatma Gandhi where Ojas plays the title role, and was performed in front of PM Modi Ji on 2nd Oct 2019 celebrating Bapu's 150th birth anniversary. 

Ojas is also professionally Stand-up Comedian performing in Gujarati, Hindi and English. He has made audiences laugh not only across India, but also in USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Kenya and Australia. In comedy, he has worked with legends like Johnny Lever, Raju Srivastav, Vir Das, etc.

Neena Kulkarni (neena Joshi) began her acting career in the 1970s on the Marathi professional stage and Hindi experimental stage, along with fashion shows and modeling simultaneously.
She met Pt Satyadev Dubey, her first guru, and went on to be a part of several Hindi productions under his direction. Mohan Rakesh's Adhe Adhure, Shankar Shesh's Mayavi Sarovar, and Willie Russell's Educating Rita are a few of her prominent plays.

Dr. Vijaya Mehta chose her to play Shabbo in Anil Barve's Hamidabai Chi Kothi in 1978, and thus began her long journey with Bai into the remarkable world of Marathi theatre with Mahasagar and Savitri. She continues to assist Bai in her workshops. Mahasagar, Akasmat, Dhyani Mani, Vatvat Savitri, Dehabhaan, Prem Patra and Chaapa Kaata are some more of her successful award-winning (Natya Darpan, State Awards, Natya Parishad recognition) Marathi plays.

She directed the play Mahasagar in 2011, Educating Rita, Mahatma Versus Gandhi and Wedding Album - English plays. 

She wrote a daily editorial column for Loksatta, called Antarang, for 3 years, and the same has been published as a book by the same name. Her prominent advertising commercials include Cadbury, Surf Excel, Parachute, Paytm, Mother Dairy and Maggie Masala.
Her latest television show Yeh Hai Mohabattein recently completed 6 years of telecast.
Her foray into digital content through a web series Breathe and Gond  Ke Laddu with Unpaused 2, short films Cuddly and Maa has won her much appreciation. Her latest release is the Short film Devi.

She is currently rehearsing for the English play Gauhar Jaan .

He Conducts Writing, Creativity and Acting workshops and also awareness workshops on Mental Health.
Kulkarni has been a Reader and Doctor for Film scripts and Plays and has been working on Theatre for the past 27 years!
He is a Writer-Director and Founder member of the group ‘Samnavay’ which has produced many path breaking plays.

Juhi Babbar Soni started her Theatre journey in 1998. Like everybody else, to formally enter  Ekjute Theatre Group she too had to attend Ekjute’s annual theatre workshop and begin with backstage work.  

As she came from a FASHION AND COSTUME background(NIFT Mumbai) she started by designing costumes.
Her first play as a costume designer was DIL HI TOH HAI. 

She then did her first role in a play called YAHUDI KI LADKI as SHEHZADI DESIA. She also did the costume for about 50 actors, it was a Parsi/Shakespearian style theatre.  

Her first important role was in a play written by Javed Siddiqui Sahab- BEGUM JAAN. With only three characters, where Mrs. Nadira Zaheer Babbar played Begum Jaan and she played Zarina  (her granddaughter). 

Presently she is winning accolades and appreciation from one and all for WITH LOVE, AAP KI  SAIYAARA, the play she has written, directed, and has also acted in.

Juhi Babbar Soni has been honored with the National Award SANGEET NATAK AKADEMI USTAD BISMILLAH KHAN YUVA PURASKAR for service to Indian Theatre.

She is the Facilitator at EKJUTE Young Talent Company, a milestone in the field of Children's Theatre, and also the founder of Ekjute Talent Forum, a platform to encourage theatre in the youth.  

She has been the Curator for Theatre at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival for 7yrs 

Juhi is a Theatre coach to several actors and the speech & diction expert for select Bollywood debutants.

As a corporate trainer, Yuki specializes in bringing 20 years of experience and knowledge from the stage and the art of performance to organizations. 
As an actress, she has performed in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Italy, and India.
She performed in international venues like the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford Apon Avon, The Roundhouse London, Theatre Romano Verona, and the Sydney Theatre Company.
Her debut feature film “Love You To Death” as co writer and actress won an Audience Choice Award at the Anchorage International Film Festival and the Royal Reel Award at the Canada International Film Festival in 2012.

Yuki’s one-woman solo performance “Elephant in the Room” just won three awards at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards 2017 for Best Actor Female, Best light Design, and Costumes.

Preeta Mathur Thakur has been working on the Hindi Theatre Stage for the last 30 years. With about 4000 shows of more than 50 plays behind her, Preeta has a large and varied experience to draw from.

Preeta began her career in professional Theatre with The Indian People’s Theatre Association

(IPTA)  under the influence of and inspiration from veterans like A K Hangal, M S Sathyu, Javed Siddiqui, Sudhir Pandey, Mushtaq Khan, Sulbha Arya, Ramesh Talwar, Kuldeep Singh and other seniors

After a few important plays with IPTA, Preeta moved on to Dinesh Thakur’s ANK, one of the the most prolific Theatre Groups of the country. Preeta saw great growth with Ank under the stewardship of Dinesh Thakur whom she regards as her Guru. Her oeuvre with Ank includes the big playwrights of our times like Mohan Rakesh, Vijay Tendulkar, Girish Karnad, Badal Sarkar, Neil Simon, George Bernard Shaw, Shakespeare, Oliver Goldsmith, Agatha Christie, Ranbir Sinh, Rabindranath Tagore, Mohan Katdare, Satish Alekar, Mahesh Elkunchwar, Asghar Wajahat etc. as well as a whole host of genres from comedy to tragedy.

Preeta has also worked in television beginning with Shyam Benegal’s Bharat Ek Khoj to M S Sathyu’s Kayar, Kundan Shah’s Manoranjan, DD’s popular Kashish etc, Telefilms for DD  like Chauthi Ka Joda etc and hosting a programme on Zee with Tom Alter.

Preeta’s film work has mainly been interesting cameo’s with directors Shyam Benegal, Kundan Shah, Raj Kumar Santoshi, Prakash Mehra, Basu Bhattacharya, Amol Palekar

Ramesh Talwar is an Indian film, theatre, television and film director, co-producer and actor. Talwar began his career as a child artist in Love In Simla, Dhool Ka Phool & Phool aur Kaliyan which was a National Award winner – Gold medal for best children's film.

Besides his dedication towards films, Talwar has been an Ardent Theatre personality as well. His association with theatre goes back to his childhood days when he joined Juhu Art Theatre which had personalities as members in the likes of Balraj Sahni. He was active as a theatre actor from 1959–1974. Acting took a back seat from 1975–1998 when he chose to be assistant director, later director in films, then tele films, tele serials and as theatre director. He made a comeback to theatre acting in 1999.

During his college days he actively participated in the intercollegiate drama competitions as a director and actor.

In 1968, Talwar joint IPTA (Indian Peoples Theatre Association) Bombay. He has done many plays with IPTA over the years.

Seema Pahwa rose to prominence for her role of Badki in the popular Doordarshan soap opera Hum Log (1984-1985). As a theatre actor she worked with Delhi-based theatre group Sambhav, before moving to Mumbai in 1994 to work in films and continue her work in television and theatre.

Subsequently, she played Maasi, on Kasamh Se (2006-2009), a popular Zee TV soap opera by Ekta Kapoor. The character is very kind and loving towards her nephew and his wife Bani Walia, the protagonist. 

In 2014, she received acclaim for the experiential theatre performance of Bhisham Sahni's satire on the middle-class, Saag Meat, where she cooked during the performance, and the food was served to the audience.

Seema Pahwa won Star Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2015 Screen Awards for the movie Ankhon Dekhi. At the 63rd Filmfare Awards, she was nominated twice for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for the films Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017). She was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 65th Filmfare Awards as well for her role in Bala (2019). Seema Pahwa made her directorial debut with the film Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi

Over these years she has played leading roles in many milestone plays, the most recent include The Mirror Crack’d, Iron, The Siddhus of Upper Juhu, Love Letters, The Glass Menagerie, The God of Carnage, One On One and Class of '84.


She is a partner in one of Mumbai’s leading theatre groups, Rage and is the
force behind some of their milestone initiatives – Writers’ Bloc, Unblock, 36 Ghante and Class Act.
Her work in Indian cinema, web series and television has been lauded that includes Black, Guzaarish, Rockstar, & many more!


She is also a teacher, she headed the acting department at India’s premier film school, Whistling Woods International for three years and is
on the advisory board of The Drama School, Mumbai.
Shernaz is currently the Artistic Director of Aditya Birla Group’s Theatre Initiative – Aadyam.

Neena Gupta is a two time National Award-winning actor, filmmaker, producer, and television personality. She has an MA in Sanskrit from Delhi University and a gold medal winner in theatre from the National School of Drama (NSD).

She started her career in Delhi’s booming theatre scene in the 80s but decided to switch to film and television after acting in the 1982 Academy award-winning Gandhi.
