The Rams have lost almost everyone to free agency, with the exception of Coleman Shelton. The others (Matt Gay, Nick Scott, Greg Gaines, Baker Mayfield, Matt Orzech, etc.) have found new homes across the league -- and the Rams aren't financially in a position to bring any of their main defensive talent back in 2023. With that being the case, the Rams need to nail the draft in 2023, with a HEAVY focus on EDGE and interior defensive line. Jalen Ramsey has finally been traded after 3 weeks of drama for a 3rd round pick and Hunter Long, as the Rams prepare for their roster re-model in 2024-2025. Ramsey won't be the last of their moves prior to the league year beginning -- look for players like Tyler Higbee and Allen Robinson to be either traded or released in the coming days as the Rams need to create roughly $10M in cap space before Wednesday of this week. Whether you're a Hunter Long fan or not, you have to find a way to be confident in the Rams' process and intent towards building a sustainable roster with less top-heavy contracts and a boat load of picks over the next few years. Little did we know that Sean McVay retiring would've led to a full-on organizational re-build. Which I don't think any of us were mentally prepared for.

De-funking the Matthew Stafford trade rumors with a Les Snead press conference was exactly what us Rams fans needed to hear today. Not only was Matthew Stafford the center of Michael Lombardi's discussion on the Pat McAfee show this morning, but he was claiming that the Rams themselves were reaching out to see if they could trade Stafford. While Snead proved that to be true, he mentioned there are many teams around the league calling them to see what their plan is with their roster. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford was rumored earlier this week to be retiring, and having Tommy John surgery on his elbow. Don't believe everything you read on Twitter, kids!

Allen Robinson and Leonard Floyd were given permission to seek trades, as of this morning. Leonard Floyd was also told if a trade can't be made prior to the league year, the Rams will be releasing him to save on the 2023 cap. Although the salary cap increased over the past year, the Rams have some immensely difficult decisions to make: across free agency, and across their own roster BEFORE the league year begins on March 15th. How will they do it, and what are some moves that feel like they're bound to happen in time? They've certainly cut their losses and made some really tough decisions in years prior -- but this year, they really have their work cut out for them.

The Jalen Ramsey trade rumors are CONTINUING to circulate, and it's starting to feel real. Based on Ramsey's IG post today (drawing comparisons to Iverson's final days in Philadelphia) and the comments Ian Rapoport made on Pat McAfee's show today, the reports are very conflicting thus far. We take you through what a trade featuring Jalen Ramsey may look like by going back over the last 30-40 years and reviewing some of the biggest trades in NFL history. If the Rams are going to deal Ramsey, it has to be for a massive return, and an opportunity for the Rams to "re-tool" their core/roster.

The Rams and Bobby Wagner have mutually decided to part ways, in effort to provide Wagner with a full offseason in pursuit of his next destination. There are a few places that may be a fit for Wagner, but cutting ties really begs a much deeper question: how important is the middle linebacker position in today's NFL? Additionally, we dive into the potential for Robert Woods to come back to Los Angeles, and look at proven LT's who've been recently released to get a better understanding of IF the Rams should eventually look to upgrade the position that protects Matthew Stafford's blindside. The Rams have until March 15th (roughly 2.5 weeks) to decide on which unrestricted free agents they're planning on having return for the 2023-2024 season, and there are roughly 5 or so that we'd plan on prioritizing. The others will either be commanding plenty of $$ in free agency, or just haven't produced enough in their time with the Rams. Additionally, we look at the other unrestricted free agents throughout the league, and what position groups need the most help -- are the Rams in-business to make another huge free agency splash at a key position of need?

Rams hire OL coach Ryan Wendell from the Buffalo Bills, who spent his entire playing career with the New England Patriots. Now, the Rams are staffed up with two names who are familiar with the "Belichickian way" in Nick Caley and Ryan Wendell, and an offensive coordinator in Mike LaFleur who is very familiar with Kyle Shanahan and his system. The offensive staff is coming together, but where does that leave our defensive coordinator, who is being held hostage by Jim Irsay and the Colts, and our special teams coordinator? Additionally, we look at potential options for the new jersey/helmet combo in 2023, and lock in our picks for the Super Bowl.

The Rams narrowed in on Nick Caley from New England, where he has 7 years of experience coaching TE's, FB's, and will act as an assistant to Sean McVay (which is similar to how Sean rose to be a top head coaching candidate). They're also looking at adding John Benton, who has coached in the NFL for over 20 years, and actually started his professional coaching career with the St. Louis Rams, coaching guys like Orlando Pace and Kyle Turley. Years later, he could be coming back to the Rams. Additionally, we dive into the handful of reasons why it would really hurt to lose Raheem Morris at this point, and go through the poll that was casted on Twitter -- leaving the option for fans to vote if they wanted him back or not.

Coaching changes around the league and how they're impacting the Rams (focused on Raheem Morris and where we think he'll end up), figuring out a way to re-tool our offensive line (and comparing to the way the Chiefs overhauled their unit upfront after the 2021 Super Bowl loss), and how the Rams are going to build their next phase of winning with a re-vamped offense under McVay/LaFleur.

The Rams’ coordinator search is continuing – as plenty of moves around the league are being made. We have our eyes on Raheem Morris’ next potential move, as he seems to be one of the favorites for the Colts’ HC position. Ejiro Evero is another name we’ve continued to watch, as he continues to be requested for interviews as a head coach. Outside of that, the Rams have to fill their special teams coordinator role, as well as their offensive line coach – which are two jobs that are going to matter immensely down the stretch. We also took some time to recap the AFC & NFC Championships, as we sat back and enjoyed the pain that San Francisco (and their fans) had to endure in Philadelphia. The Super Bowl is without a doubt going to be fun to watch – and will be an opportunity to keep “Nick’s Picks” alive and well, as they’ve been on fire recently.

There is a ton of speculation circulating around Mike LaFleur, the former Jets offensive coordinator, potentially joining the Rams' staff. Because it seems so likely (and the perfect match overall), we dug into what our offense may look like after installing some of LaFleur & Shanahan's philosophies. On the defensive side of the ball, we explore what the world might look like if Raheem Morris becomes the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, while Ejiro Evero comes back to Los Angeles and joins forces (again) with Sean McVay, but in the DC role. Additionally, we previewed championship weekends and provided our LOCKS for each game in "Nick's Championship Picks".

The Rams' re-tooling process has already begun, with general manager Les Snead addressing some of the big vacancies that the Rams will inevitably have on the staff, as well as on the actual roster. Outside of recapping all of the divisional games, we addressed the pain the Rams' players & coaches must be feeling after watching SF go back to another conference championship game, while everyone is watching from home. The Rams can find a few UFA's, re-sign a few key players, bulk-up the depth on the offensive line and be right back in the driver's seat in no time... it just has to happen. And in time, we very much believe it will. Nothing seems to be off the table with this group -- and the fact that the core is still intact speaks to the lengths they'll go to re-create magic.

Starting off with the divisional round preview (Nick's Picks), then diving into Sean McVay's continued coordinator search, which has now expanded into a position-group coaching search as the following have not been asked to re-join the staff next year: OL coach Kevin Carberry, Special Teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis, DB Coach Jonathan Cooley, Assistant DL Skyler Jones and Defensive Assistant Lance Schulters will not be returning, per source. We evaluate who could fill those roles, take another look at the upcoming UFA class, and the Rams' upcoming 10 draft picks in the 2023 draft (including compensatory picks), per Les Snead.

Wildcard Weekend is almost wrapped up - kicked off with a full weekend recap on the 5 games that were played across Saturday & Sunday. Then, we dug into Sean McVay and the really interesting decisions he has to make when it comes to his coaching staff, whether it pertains to current staff members like Zac Robinson and Thomas Brown, or outside candidates to fill the offensive coordinator role, like Mike LaFleur, Frank Reich, Brian Johnson, Scott Turner & others. Additionally, if Raheem Morris leaves to become a head coach, that will leave a second coordinator job up for the grabs, and a few familiar faces may be in play. From there, we transitioned to Baker Mayfield and the unrestricted free agent class, comparable contracts, and who we'd potentially prioritize when the league year starts on March 15th.

After a very confusing 48 hours or so -- Rams fans were at peace when we heard the news that Sean McVay would be coming back as the Rams' head coach. He made this announcement 24 hours AFTER permitting his assistants to seek other job opportunities, and is now working to replace the members that he is (pre-emptively) going to lose. Additionally, we look into potential replacements at Offensive Coordinator with Liam Coen on the run back to Kentucky with names like Frank Reich, Mike LaFleur and Kliff Kingsbury, and replacements at Defensive Coordinator if Raheem Morris is poached by a different team to be the head coach. The Rams fell 19-16 to the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle, ending their season with a 5-12 record and a TON of questions heading into the offseason. While a lot of younger players certainly stepped up in hopes to be along for the ride next year (Quentin Lake, Russ Yeast, Ernest Brown, etc.), there are a handful of veterans who have a very uncertain future. Aaron Donald, in particular, seems to be the one player who's linked to the core that still seems very undecided about playing next year. In the coach's room, Sean McVay and the Rams have a massive decision to make about Sean's future with the team. He's dealt with adversities in his personal life along with in his career that has led to a very exhausting existence. All in all - we want to know McVay isn't completely burnt out and is capable of coming back to coach. But first, he'll take a very long and well-deserved vacation to think it all through. He mentioned many times in his presser that "he's never been in this situation before", but very much believes he's not done coaching in this league.

The Rams were as banged up as we've ever seen a team heading into Week 1, and still put up a hell of a fight against a Super Bowl contender in the Detroit Lions, in Detroit. Eyes will be focused on players named Bobby Wagner, Jalen Ramsey, Cam Akers, Baker Mayfield, Geno Smith, Kenneth Walker, D.K. Metcalf, Tariq Woolen and a handful of others. Additionally, we discuss Sean McVay's (potential) career change, our betting record through the season, and Nick's picks closes us out with his locks for the weekend.

After a short break, we're back to cover the Rams' 31-10 loss at SoFi Stadium (considered an away game for the Rams), which now brings them to 5-11 on the 2022-2023 season. It's the most losses by a defending Super Bowl champ in NFL history, while the Chargers improve to 10-6. But does it have the same feeling of a normal 5-11 season? To us, the priority at this point is putting together a legitimately competitive group, while still evaluating some of the younger players to see what they're capable of for next year. At the same time, there's still reason to be critical of the schematic side (especially defensively) - and how the Rams' final game of the season can impact the NFC playoff picture.

The Rams have to travel to Lambeau Field this upcoming Monday night to play the 5-8 Packers in what's expected to be the Rams' coldest game since 1992. When weather plays a factor and both teams are trending in the wrong direction, what are some of the elements that help propel you to a victory? Smart coaching, winning at the line of scrimmage, a solid commitment to the run game and a little bit of what we saw with Jared Goff in 2017 & 2018 (schematically). Keep the gameplan simplified, capitalize on where the Packers are weak defensively, and bring them down into the depth of no postseason with us. Nick's picks are coming off a tough week, but had a shirt made in honor of his segment (that he shows off) and feels confident in this weekend's slate of games.

The Rams defeated the Raiders in dramatic fashion in SoFi Stadium last night, 17-16. It wasn't only Baker Mayfield's debut... but it was his debut after getting claimed 48 hours prior by Sean McVay and the Rams. In miraculous fashion (and after only putting up 3 points in the first half) the Rams' offense began clicking halfway through the fourth quarter and the Raheem Morris' defense simultaneously decided to play the best form of complementary football possible - while only allowing 67 yards in total in the second half. In one of the more thrilling games we've seen all season, it was the Rams who came away on top - and it was equality in part due to Josh McDaniels' coaching style down the stretch. Only one way to define it: "scared". The Rams meanwhile took plenty of risks - and they all paid off.

The Seahawks beat the Rams, 27-23 and improve to 7-5 while the Rams drop to 3-9 and have lost 6-straight games, which is the worst start for a reigning Super Bowl champion in NFL history. The Rams now have to do some continued digging and look at their current roster to see how they're going to approach the offseason. While a handful of players outperformed our expectations, the end result wasn't what we wanted to see (after being in position to win), but there were some signs of life on both sides of the ball. #MondayPain is continued & we sneak in a Raiders preview as well on a short week.

The Rams are back at home this weekend to face a familiar foe in the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are struggling, too, after failing (in Munich) to beat Brady, resting for a bye week, then losing a tough game in overtime to Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders. But that three-week stretch is nothing compared to the Rams' 5-game losing streak they're currently battling against, and another winless November's in consecutive seasons. HOWEVER, it very much feels like Seattle's defense against the run (and defense in general) is suspect and taking away Geno's favorite weapons on third down could be a recipe for a Rams victory. Plenty to unpack after another loss against the Saints, as the Rams now drop to 3-7 on the season. The Rams travel to New Orleans this weekend to play the Saints -- in a game that both teams need to win desperately. The Saints seem like they're in complete disarray after their loss to Pittsburgh, but the Rams have lost 5 out of the last 6 games and are freefalling in a very similar fashion. The important questions are: who's going to replace Cooper Kupp, how will the offensive line hold up, and will people still be blaming the defense if the offense is incapable of moving the ball? Luckily (as we mentioned before) -- the Saints are dealing with ALL of the same problems. Who comes away with a win this weekend? We're both leaning towards the Rams.

There's no question about it - the Rams are struggling mightily. In a game that didn't feature Matthew Stafford or Kyler Murray, the Rams managed to put 17-points on the board (7 of which were in garbage time) and lost their most important offensive weapon in Cooper due to an awful throw by John Wolford, and a questionable hit by Marco Wilson. In the 27-17 loss to Arizona, the Rams' offense (once again) looked like a shell of what it once was, and it's obvious that they need a massive overhaul going into next season in order to keep the window any sorts of open. There are too many pieces (moving in the wrong direction) for the Rams to fix their issues immediately -- it's going to require a deep evaluation from some of the best, and most proven guys in the business.

Rams and Lions are officially set to kick off on SNF, a heavy-weight rematch of two teams that have Super Bowl aspirations. The Lions feel as if the Super Bowl conversation is very appropriate considering how last year ended, while the Rams have tons of internal confidence that they're going to shock teams yet again. The Rams are currently 3-4 and are heading into Raymond James Stadium to face-off against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. The Rams fell short in their home stadium in what was their second chance this regular season to beat the 49ers. In a situation that we believed was plenty winnable (with the 49ers dealing with a handful of injuries) - the Rams squandered away a 14-10 lead and ended up allowing 21 unanswered points in the second half of this game. We discuss some of the key moments that could've swung momentum in our favor: Ramsey's forced fumble, Higbee's drop, etc., as well as how we underestimated the severity of our roster turnover and overestimated out ability to out-scheme our biggest rival. The Rams are hosting the 49ers in SoFi Stadium this weekend, as they get ready to face off against their biggest rival for the second time in less than a month. There's no doubt that the Rams have come off their bye week much healthier, as the 49ers are currently struggling with injuries to some key players on both sides of the ball. We get into how the Rams could potentially set themselves up for victory in this game (hint, don't completely abandon the run early) and utilize the pieces that were missing in the first match-up against these two teams. Both teams enter the week with .500 records or below, but this is a game that will identify weaknesses for the Rams, and how they can go about handling the trade deadline on November 2nd. The Rams defeated the Carolina Panthers, 24-10 in SoFi Stadium to snap their two-game losing skid against San Francisco and Dallas. Going into the half losing 10-7, Rams fans were boo'ing the Rams as they jogged into the home tunnel. There was a lot of animosity, based on the fans' expectations of this team coming off a Super Bowl victory. But after the half, the Rams' offense adjusted and came out firing with a complimentary and evenly dispersed effort by Matthew Stafford & the Rams' receiving core. The defense allowed their lowest point total (3) since 2017. The pieces are starting to come together a bit while starters who were injured are getting an extra week to rest-up for 49ers week. Are the Rams a finished product at this point in the season? Not even close.

The Rams are currently 2-3, with the Panthers looming on Sunday. We preview the 1-4 Carolina Panthers, who've just lost their head coach and (seemingly) their starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield. Long behold, their interim head coach (Steve Wilks) has been around quite some time, and there's plenty of reasons to get behind P.J. Walker, who we've seen play well in this league before. If the Rams can attack the left side of the offensive line and keep Walker uncomfortable, they may find themselves back in the win column. It's difficult to sustain a legitimate pass rush when each of the two quarterbacks you've faced get rid of the football in 2.5 seconds, but this one's a bit different.

The Rams have dropped their second straight game -- this time to the Dallas Cowboys, who seemingly had something to prove defensively all game. They knew there was a major weakness upfront (due to a boatload of injuries), and they immediately took advantage. Outside of additional offensive line help, it's fair to start questioning some of the play calls, player usage and schemes, considering how badly bruised this team is upfront. Their offense was forced to change, but at times -- it still tries to revert back to what it once was last year. There's a major identity crisis going on, and it's one that we believe McVay and Snead are willing to solve (with a little help from their "friends").

The banged-up Rams didn't fare well against the 49ers in their home stadium for the long-awaited NFC Championship rematch, as they were defeated 24-9. With three legitimate opportunities to score in the redzone, the offense wasn't sharp enough to convert and made a crucial mistake down the stretch on telegraphed screen to Cooper Kupp. The defense did what they could, considering defense back depth was hurt and Jimmy G was getting rid of the ball in 2.23 seconds (on average). Aaron Donald finished with 5 tackles and 2 for a loss, but they weren't able to generate any sacks or turnovers in crucial moments. We'll see them again in 4 weeks!

The Rams' biggest rival, the 49ers, are hosting them on Monday Night Football - in a game where there are no true implications except ownership over the NFC West, and pride.
