Rams officially finalize their 53-man roster, and we jump into all of the cuts, trades and surprises that we noticed as it was made official. If Matthew Stafford is healthy enough to play in this game (is currently dealing with a gnarly UCL sprain), then the Rams have a legitimate chance to go into their bye week with a 4-5 record, and a real opportunity to re-set themselves in preparation for a tricky back-half schedule and 2 divisional opponents right out the gate. The Rams were flat out dominated by the Dallas Cowboys, 43-20 with the Cowboys fresh off their bye week, in their home stadium. Yes, the Rams have had some tough breaks when it comes to the schedule. But, when it comes to execution and situational play-calling, it feels like the Rams simply need to be better. And when it's so poor to the point it puts your starting quarterback (and 1 of 3 "weight bearing walls") in jeopardy of serious injury, it's time to start re-considering the game-plan. The Rams are in a difficult spot: getting ready for the 4-2 Dallas Cowboys, who are coming off of a bye: very similar to what we had to deal with against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Regardless, the Rams have a few mistakes they can correct in this game that we believe could very much propel them to victory. Simple offensive tweaks (stay with the quick game, stay balanced) and defensively finding ways to generate pressure on Dak Prescott, who has sat back comfortably in the pocket this season. A great match-up is very much ahead of us...

It felt like the Rams had a legitimate opportunity to come away with a win today at SoFi Stadium, where the Rams hosted the now 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers. Due to a few mistakes down the stretch and very obvious deficiencies on Special Teams, the Rams weren't able to capitalize on as many opportunities as the Steelers did. Missed FG's put Pittsburgh in favorable field position. Penalties and question marks in our young secondary led to big (late) conversions. The officiating was questionable at best. The Rams have nothing to do but briefly reflect on this loss, then look ahead to Dallas.

The Rams are in unfamiliar territory: they're the favorite in back-to-back weeks with the Steelers headed to SoFi this weekend. It doesn't come without a price... the Rams lost Derion Kendrick to an arrest and Kyren Williams + Ronnie Rivers to injury. They turned that right around by signing Darrell Henderson and Myles Gaskin to fill the vacancy and stand by the comments of the offensive line (after Sunday's win). Aside of that, the Steelers are on a bit of a rollercoaster: winning 3 of 5 games but with a statistically "bad" defense, and an underwhelming offense (despite having plenty of skill players on paper). It's going to be an INTERESTING match-up: the first of McVay and Tomlin since 2019. Strap in!

This was a must-win game, and the Rams got the job done against the Arizona Cardinals at home to improve to 3-3. The Rams are in a must-win situation on Sunday, with both James Conner and Budda Baker out of the line-up for Arizona. The Cardinals' defense is giving up 350 yards per game and is ranked towards the bottom in defending against the pass AND defending against the run. So, it should be an easy win for the Rams as 6.5pt favorites at home, right? Well, the Arizona Cardinals are playing better than expected, with a win against Dallas and hard-fought back-to-back weeks against the 49ers and the Bengals. In a weekend that united the whole Rams Brothers team, the Rams fell to the Eagles, 23-14 at home. While the Rams' fans were representing, there were tons of Eagles fans to balance out the energy in the stadium -- and in most scenarios, it favored the away team. Traveling fan bases are hard to prevent but becoming one dimensional in the second half and being afraid to run the ball when you fall behind is correctable. This young team has faced an incredibly difficult schedule to start the season, but now it's time to start putting the pieces together with back-to-back home games on the horizon. The difficulty of this 5-game sample size is going to pay dividends for the Rams in the back-half of the season

The Rams are finally back home after a 2-week stretch of AFC road games. When they enter SoFi Stadium on Sunday, they'll be met with the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, led by Jalen Hurts. The Eagles' offense may not be quite where it was last year, but their defense front is much improved and are ready to put pressure on Matthew Stafford, his injured hip, and the remainder of the Rams' offense. The Rams walked into Indy with a purpose: avoiding a 1-3 record and getting back on track. They seemingly did that with ease throughout the entire first half, but the second half was a completely different story. The combination of Anthony Richardson and Shane Steichen's new offense was overwhelming for the Rams late in this game, but a few missed FG's may have led Sean McVay to be more aggressive with his play-calling down the stretch. The Rams relied on their playmakers and were able to finish the job with a walk-off TD by the heroic Puka Nacua.

Rams vs. Eagles divisional round recap: man, they really had a shot at the end of this game to upset the Eagles in Philadelphia. Crucial mistakes down the stretch were the difference between hosting an NFC Championship game and their season ending abruptly. But, this wasn't necessarily a "Super Bowl or Bust" type roster. Next year, there's a legitimate opportunity to bring in some talent and ensure your Super Bowl window is back open for at least one more season. But there will be questions: what does Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp's futures look like? Can they rely on draft picks and available cap space to ensure they get back to the dance? Only time will tell.

The Rams are faced with another difficult task: a second-straight road game against an AFC opponent that is playing really good football. Under new head coach Shane Steichen, this Colts team is nearly unrecognizable. Anthony Richardson should be healthy enough to start, and their offense is full of well-designed plays and really good situational play-calling. Their defense is playing way above what people expected of them and have plenty of veteran presence to show for. How will the Rams get back to .500, and more importantly, correct the mistakes they made in Cincy, as well as keep their QB upright?

The Rams lost on MNF to the 0-2 Bengals mainly because of self-inflicted wounds. They were 1-11 on 3rd down, 0-3 in the Red Zone, and became more and more one-dimensional as the game progressed. Sean McVay seemingly called a game that went against the Rams' core offseason principle: which was keeping his QB1 upright, and protected throughout the entirety of the season. The offensive line was banged up in this game, but is that any excuse to neglect the run in a one-score game (on the road)?!

Finally, the Super Bowl 56 rematch we've all been waiting for. I think if it were up to Joe Burrow, he would have this game pushed back on the schedule after re-aggravating his calf against the Baltimore Ravens late in the fourth quarter of a 27-24 loss. In parallels of Joe Burrow's calf, the new-look Rams are poised (as 2pt underdogs currently) to go into Cincinnati and come home with a win. A continuation of what we've seen on offense (a true marriage of the run/pass, legitimate/effective blocking schemes in the run game, improved pass-pro, etc.) and continuous pressure upfront should be a recipe for a win. You never know though, that Joe Burrow always seems to have some magic up his sleeve.

The Rams have now lost 9 straight regular season games to the 49ers. But this one was different, as we mentioned on the preview episode. We believed that to be true because of the Rams' much improved offensive line, the unbelievable introduction Puka Nacua has made to the league, and the young, talented defensive players we have that are currently starved to stay on the field. We left this game thinking about how well the Rams' offense executed on third down, how well they protected Stafford (before the 49ers adjusted their front), and why there should be a ton of optimism amongst Rams fans for the next 3 seasons. A few mistakes were left on the field, but they were all teachable moments for promising young & talented players.

The Rams' record against the 49ers over the last 4+ seasons doesn't tell the full story. This season, a brand-new opportunity awaits for the Rams to put their handful of regular season losses to the 49ers behind them. It's the very first time we're getting to see Brock Purdy stand back in the pocket with Aaron Donald creeping down on him, with a healthy Matthew Stafford and fully rejuvenated offensive line protecting him. With the 49ers coming back to SoFi Stadium, all expectations are that it's the 49ers season to lose. But if the Rams are able to handle business at home, how much of that will actually be true?

The Rams seemed like they were on a legitimate mission at Lumen Field yesterday. They made the opening game vs. Seattle personal, and used all of the outside noise as motivation to prove the talking heads (and remainder of the league) wrong. Their defense absolutely dismantled Seattle in the second half, and their offense throughout the whole game progressively got more efficient. We were also able to see the relationships grow in real-time between Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell. Aaron Donald is doing the same on the other side of the ball with the young interior players & pass rushers. All around, phenomenal start to the season with a 30-13 victory on the road against Seattle

The Rams' second preseason game against the Raiders is in the books, and there are some key takeaways on both sides of the ball that we made sure to note within this episode. We've been identifying the players who could be contributors to the 2023 regular season, and a handful of them are starting to shine in recent joint practices/preseason games. Specifically, guys like Steve Avila, Quentin Lake, Tre Tomlinson and Bobby Brown. We truly feel that four or five guys will help shape out the starting roster and make this team feel more complete (both on offense and defense), and that's exactly what the preseason is for! The Rams' first preseason game against the Chargers is a wrap. The 2023 Rams' training camp in Irvine, CA is officially a wrap, and it featured just a few minor injuries to some of our key players (nothing major, thankfully) and a fully rejuvenated Sean McVay. The combination of the two, plus a healthy dose of "freshness" when it comes to who's in the building and some of the methodologies they're trying to install from the top-down has us feeling optimistic about the upcoming season. The forecast is calling for some snow, which could affect the way both of these teams approach their gameplan. Well, that's because there is -- between the Playcallers (Jourdan Rodrigue's masterpiece), Netflix's "Quarterback" and Behind the Grind, we were inspired to take a deep dive on Sean McVay, and what has made him (and the Rams) so special over the last handful of years. Going back to 2017, we chose just one regular season game to focus on as an example of his offensive evolution over the years, and why certain moments in time either made his play c0alling look unstoppable one week, and very beatable the next post 2018 Super Bowl. The most important part being how it was corrected to bring them back to glory, and how McVay will use everything he has learned over the years to carefully craft his 2023 offense. The Rams are in a little bit of a down period right now for roughly the next three weeks as they start preparing internally for training camp. While there's plenty of time, between mini-camp (happening this week), additional practice/joint sessions + pre-season, it's never too early to start determining who's not going to make the cut. The Rams have been working through their new plan and getting to know plenty of new faces over the past 2-3 weeks with OTA's beginning on the 22nd of May. It's interesting to hear their approach, how challenging it is to onboard a multitude of players, and the updates we're getting from OTA's (which are always overwhelmingly positive). From there, we wanted to look past the month of June/July and evaluate which 3 players we believe are poised for a much larger role (leadership role) in 2023. The three players listed all could be massive contributors for this team, will indefinitely guide the younger players and have a ton of upside for 2024 and beyond.

The Rams' 2023 season feels like a gamble in its own. They're going to roster a boat load of rookies/undrafted free agents and expect their players who've been in the system for 2-3 years to step up significantly. Vegas only has the Rams listed as favorites in 5 of their 17 games regular season games, and two of them are against the Cardinals. But what about the following: Rams to make the Playoffs? The Rams' 2023 schedule was released yesterday, and it's considered to be somewhat difficult after the Rams finished in 3rd place in the NFC West last season. 4 of their first 5 matchups are against playoff teams and are only slated to play in two prime time games, which is the same amount as: Carolina, Tampa, Cleveland and Tennessee. We took the time to go through each opponent, inclusive of their performance in 2022, how they've managed so far in free agency/the 2023 draft, and their expected win/loss totals. From there, we determined a final record prediction that is most likely dependent on a few balls bouncing our way.

The Rams' 2023 draft class will certainly be one to remember -- even if it's just for the fact that they made a total of 11 picks on Day 3. With a total of 14 picks after trading back four times and trading up once, the Rams came away with some really good value in later rounds, and definitely opted towards finding foundational players/building the roster inside to outside vs. risking top picks on skill players (like they have done in the past). We'll have to see how some of these players look once they're on the field with Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp, but we have a lot of confidence in their methodology for this draft specifically, and believe a handful of these players will be legitimate contributors in the very near future.

Allen Robinson was traded earlier this week and the Rams will take on a majority of his salary for next year and only a 7th-round pick swap in return. It's considered to be a really bad free agent signing (OTC calls it one of the worst) and then, a day later, we find out Jalen Ramsey would've re-structured his deal with the Rams (per a deleted tweet of his). Additionally, with the 2023 NFL Draft only a week away, we dug into the big board and produced TWO mock drafts, one of which is called "Shiny Toy" (heavily focused on offensive skill players early) and the other is "Future Core", which is focused on building a sustainable roster with talent at multiple positions (moving away from the top-heavy methodology). Rams absolutely dismantled the Minnesota Vikings in State Farm Stadium and are now headed to Philadelphia for a date in the divisional round with the Eagles. How did they do it? They have the superior head coach/quarterback, and had a gameplan defensively, led by a young core, that had Sam Darnold seeing ghosts all night. The Vikings were no slouch, they were a 14-win team this season but couldn't get past the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams in any capacity. Do the Rams have a legitimate shot against the Eagles, with a chance for redemption? We very much think so.

Our very first mock draft(s) are live within this episode, featuring what we know about who the Rams have already met with (either virtually or in-person) and how the Rams should go about prioritizing as they're working their way through the draft board. The Rams are in a solid position when it comes to setting themselves up for 2024. But where does that leave them in 2023? Well, for starters, they need to really execute on the upcoming draft. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being overly prepared, flooding your big board with talent and drafting players that can help mold the state of your franchise for the next 4+ years. Additionally, as this big board continues to be carved out, there are a really good amount of late round steals that the Rams could execute on if they play their cards right late in the draft. And in that situation, with the experience they have: we have all the trust in the world. Well, at least for right now.

Your suggestions were heard via Twitter, and we listened (for the most part). As a result, a Rams Brothers Big Board was born -- the first ever of its kind, and it's packed with insight. Once the two of us really started putting our heads together and started taking into consideration how many defensive players the Rams have recently lost, coupled with players they've already had a chance to meet with and some of the other characteristics they like to focus on in the draft, the board started coming together fairly quickly. And with that, we pieced together a long list of players that we'd like to see the Rams pursue in rounds 2-7. The Rams' front office has been very forthcoming of the Rams' recent transactions. Les Snead addressed the Rams' media team 3 weeks ago to lay out the blueprint for 2023-2025, and Kevin Demoff followed up over the weekend with a letter to all Rams fans, addressing the recent departures, the organizations mentality over the past 6+ years, and their willingness to fight for long-term, sustainable success after winning a Super Bowl in their home stadium. Some believe it's admirable and trust the organizations decision-making, and others are overly cautious of what's to come. Additionally, we cover off on the most recent former Rams who've departed to new organizations, as well as the compensatory pick process and how it affects the 2024 draft.

The Rams have lost almost everyone to free agency, with the exception of Coleman Shelton. The others (Matt Gay, Nick Scott, Greg Gaines, Baker Mayfield, Matt Orzech, etc.) have found new homes across the league -- and the Rams aren't financially in a position to bring any of their main defensive talent back in 2023. With that being the case, the Rams need to nail the draft in 2023, with a HEAVY focus on EDGE and interior defensive line. One way to incentivize Aaron Donald to stick around (outside of the $60MM+ the Rams owe him over the next two years) is to surround him with young talent.

Jalen Ramsey has finally been traded after 3 weeks of drama for a 3rd round pick and Hunter Long, as the Rams prepare for their roster re-model in 2024-2025. Ramsey won't be the last of their moves prior to the league year beginning -- look for players like Tyler Higbee and Allen Robinson to be either traded or released in the coming days as the Rams need to create roughly $10M in cap space before Wednesday of this week. Whether you're a Hunter Long fan or not, you have to find a way to be confident in the Rams' process and intent towards building a sustainable roster with less top-heavy contracts and a boat load of picks over the next few years. Little did we know that Sean McVay retiring would've led to a full-on organizational re-build. Which I don't think any of us were mentally prepared for.

De-funking the Matthew Stafford trade rumors with a Les Snead press conference was exactly what us Rams fans needed to hear today. Not only was Matthew Stafford the center of Michael Lombardi's discussion on the Pat McAfee show this morning, but he was claiming that the Rams themselves were reaching out to see if they could trade Stafford. While Snead proved that to be true, he mentioned there are many teams around the league calling them to see what their plan is with their roster. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford was rumored earlier this week to be retiring, and having Tommy John surgery on his elbow. Don't believe everything you read on Twitter, kids!

Allen Robinson and Leonard Floyd were given permission to seek trades, as of this morning. Leonard Floyd was also told if a trade can't be made prior to the league year, the Rams will be releasing him to save on the 2023 cap. Although the salary cap increased over the past year, the Rams have some immensely difficult decisions to make: across free agency, and across their own roster BEFORE the league year begins on March 15th. How will they do it, and what are some moves that feel like they're bound to happen in time? They've certainly cut their losses and made some really tough decisions in years prior -- but this year, they really have their work cut out for them.

The Jalen Ramsey trade rumors are CONTINUING to circulate, and it's starting to feel real. Based on Ramsey's IG post today (drawing comparisons to Iverson's final days in Philadelphia) and the comments Ian Rapoport made on Pat McAfee's show today, the reports are very conflicting thus far. We take you through what a trade featuring Jalen Ramsey may look like by going back over the last 30-40 years and reviewing some of the biggest trades in NFL history. If the Rams are going to deal Ramsey, it has to be for a massive return, and an opportunity for the Rams to "re-tool" their core/roster.

Rams are now preparing to play the Vikings in the first round of the Wild Card playoffs in ARIZONA because of the LA wildfires. An unfortunate situation for the Rams who were set to host a playoff game and were estimated to have a massive home field advantage. Regardless, the Rams have a few things they can focus on to ensure they win this game and advance to the divisional round: starting fast, generating tons of pressure and making sure they perform better in the red zone than their opponents.

The Rams and Bobby Wagner have mutually decided to part ways, in effort to provide Wagner with a full offseason in pursuit of his next destination. There are a few places that may be a fit for Wagner, but cutting ties really begs a much deeper question: how important is the middle linebacker position in today's NFL? Additionally, we dive into the potential for Robert Woods to come back to Los Angeles, and look at proven LT's who've been recently released to get a better understanding of IF the Rams should eventually look to upgrade the position that protects Matthew Stafford's blindside. All of that, plus some detail on when the Rams expect to finalize their coaching staff.

The Rams have until March 15th (roughly 2.5 weeks) to decide on which unrestricted free agents they're planning on having return for the 2023-2024 season, and there are roughly 5 or so that we'd plan on prioritizing. The others will either be commanding plenty of $$ in free agency, or just haven't produced enough in their time with the Rams. Additionally, we look at the other unrestricted free agents throughout the league, and what position groups need the most help -- are the Rams in-business to make another huge free agency splash at a key position of need?

Based on Kevin Demoff's most recent remarks, it seems the Rams may start thinking about moving Ramsey in the right situation.
