In this sneak peek to the NIAA's upcoming conference: Producing Protein for a Food Insecure and Uncertain World, we sit down with Norbrook's Director of Technical Services and NIAA Co-Chair Eric Moore and Midan Marketing Public Relations Manager and NIAA Board Member Kelly Loganbill. The conversation progresses through stigmas around antimicrobial stewardship and consumer worries about how antibiotic use in livestock production could affect their food supply. Loganbill also discusses the difference in consumer groups at the meat case and what drives consumer purchasing decisions.
In a final comment on the episode Moore states, " Don't be afraid, be bold, be confident and say this is what we do. This is how we do it. And this is the right way to do it... In the past 11 years of doing this, I think it's important to remind producers that ... Hey you're doing a great job and you just need to say you are."

Person works in the international meat trade and is currently a beef production professor at Fresno State. We talk the realities of California cattle production, how historically we've changed types and kinds of cattle, and what he hopes to see for the future of the industry and his up and coming students going into the industry. Towards the end of the episode, we talk exports in China, South America, India, Indonesia, Western Asia, and the US.Â
