Laura has been a courtside fixture for the NBA, WNBA, and beyond, covering everything from the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers to the Philadelphia 76ers and San Antonio Spurs. With stints as a sideline reporter for TNT, Comcast Sports, and WOAI Radio, Laura has reported on the NBA Finals, WNBA Finals, Super Bowls, and NCAA Championships, building a reputation for excellence and professionalism. A magna cum laude graduate of Texas Tech University, she’s been a pioneer in the industry, paving the way for the next generation of sports journalists. In this compelling episode of "Raff and the Meatballs," we are honored to host Marquette University High School alum Mark E. Mitchell. A highly decorated U.S. Army combat veteran, Mark brings 28 years of experience in national defense and counterterrorism policy to our discussion.

As one of the first U.S. soldiers on the ground in Afghanistan post-9/11, Mark's bravery and leadership were pivotal during the Battle of Qala-I Jangi, earning him the Distinguished Service Cross. His extensive career includes advising the Northern Alliance, serving on the National Security Council, and commanding the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). Mark's strategic insights have shaped significant hostage recovery efforts and counterterrorism policies across the globe.
