Quincy Jones, whose decorated music career ran from the early 1950s through the best-known works of Michael Jackson and beyond, died Sunday. He was 91.

His death was confirmed by his publicist in a statement to NPR that did not mention the cause of death. The statement said that Jones died peacefully at his home in Bel Air, California, surrounded by his family.

Ronald Nathan Bell (November 1, 1951 – September 9, 2020), also known as Khalis Bayyan, was an American composer, singer, songwriter, arranger, producer, saxophonist and co-founding member of Kool & the Gang. The band recorded nine No. 1 R&B singles in the 1970s and 80s, including its No. 1 pop single "Celebration".

Edna Wright (1944-September 12, 2020) was the lead singer of the R&B group Honey Cone who were known for their 1971 hit “Want Ads.” She was the sister of popular singer Darlene Love. She was 76 years old.

Frederick Nathaniel "Toots" Hibbert, OJ (8 December 1942 – 11 September 2020), was a Jamaican singer and songwriter who was the lead vocalist for the reggae and ska band Toots and the Maytals.

Danny Webster: of the Dayton funk band Slave passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 60. Touting hits such as "Slide", "Watching You", and "Stellar Fungk", Danny was a phenomenal guitarist/arranger who will be sorely missed.
