Evil is amongst us - dealing with narcissists, sociopaths and antisocial personalities in our work and personal lives10 Oct 202400:10:53

Evil is real and does live amongst us. But who teaches us how to deal with bullies, abuse, cruelty and even criminals in our personal and work life ?

Unless you’ve suffered at the hands of this – it’s very hard to believe, understand and accept the extreme level of cruelty and abuse that antisocial people can and do dish out on anyone who gets in their way. For those of us who have been on the receiving end, when others close to us or in position of authority don't believe us and can’t help nor empathise – it can be extremely painful and frightening.

In this episode:

·      You’ll learn that bullying and evil can be hidden or covert as well as visible or overt

·      That occurs just as easily in families, friendships, general society, workplace and business

·      You’ll gain tips on how to manage bullying and evil when you encounter it.

Eric shows us how to be there for both ourselves and our partners and how to deal with 'disturbances' to the state of love we share. Chosen family: What to do when you have no biological family to rely on or you need parenting support as an adult14 Sep 202000:33:45
Ideally, we grow up in a loving family and grow into adulthood feeling united and supported but this is often not the case. Dr Amanda Ferguson discusses how we can find spiritual or surrogate family members when our biological family is dysfunctional, lets us down or doesn't exist in our lives. Acknowledging our lack of good family relationships is painful and lonely. The possibility of a second chance - and even more chances - to create a sense of family is liberating and fulfilling. For instance, feeling motherless can be healed by finding as many mother figures as it takes for us to eventually feel we have been mothered. Surrogate family relationships usually evolve naturally and can't be forced. They give each person a sense of gaining what they were missing. Dr. Amanda shows how the world holds all these potential people we need to feel loved and to love. It's never too late to have a happy family.Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 13 11 14To find out more about Dr. Amanda Ferguson, you can visit her website at www.dramandaferguson.com.auOr connect with her on Facebook or LinkedIn

The Australian 2019/20 Black Summer Fires devastated the Upper Murray and the Newnham property. The turmoil triggered Janice to commit to writing, as a form of therapy, and she has since self-published two books: one on these fires, and another set in the aftermath of the1939 Black Friday fires, that she has an eerie connection with, and where the facts are stranger than fiction. Listen in to hear –- Janice calmly, yet vividly, describe the horrific and terrifying details of the fires from the beginning to end- How Janice and the other volunteers, then ordinary people, became extraordinary, performing incredibly courageous, life-threatening feats.- The ongoing fallout for Janice, her family, and the community- The innate difficulty of providing men in rural areas much-needed mental health support and guidance- Just how Janice hangs out in nature to heal – much to the curiosity of her cows.
