Ep. 200: Going all in. Big podcast change!
20 Nov 2024
00:16:25
I’m very proud of myself for creating a podcast out of thin air and then seeing it through for 200 hundred episodes.
BUT, I’m also at point where I’m making a big change.
I’m practicing what I preach and taking a good hard look at where I’m investing my time and energy, focus, and do what’s in my best interest.
My hope is that you will ask yourself some of the tough questions and make tough decisions like I am making right now.
When you’re overwhelmed by your long to-do list and trying to figure out what to do next, you typically don’t think: “hmmm…..what’s my intuition telling me?”
But, it actually guides you better than the Eisenhower matrix (urgent vs. important format) or most time management tools.
On this episode I tell you why.
I can’t wait for you to hear about how incredibly powerful you are when it comes to feeling more accomplished!

I also released a new training for this big milestone called: “Turn your scattered week into a structure you can stick to: for women business owners who look together but don’t feel that way.”

As we are close to wrapping up 2021 and starting a new year I'm here to remind you that you are the boss -- you’re in charge -- it’s your business, it’s your life, which means -- you can structure your business any way you want.
I know that’s difficult to embrace or imagine when you’re so far into the weeds or your business is already set up in a certain way that does not afford you a ton of time or flexibility or freedom.
But I promise you with deliberate and intentional planning and actions you can get there. In today's episode, I take you through my simple 3-step process to build (or re-build) the business and life you crave.
Ep. 94: When you have no time to work ON your business
06 Dec 2021
00:27:09
When I ask this survey question: "What's your #1 biggest productivity challenge you're struggling with right now?"
Here's the number one answer I get: "Not having time to work ON my business. I don't have systems in place, but I'm so busy with client projects that I don't feel like I have the time to stop and put them in place, so I keep re-inventing the same thing over and over again."
If you can relate to that, you don't want to miss today's episode on prioritizing what's most important. Cuz the truth is, EVERYTHING is important in your business.
BUT everything does not have the same priority.
Find out how to figure out where exactly you should put your focus and energy so you get the best results in the shortest time with the least stress.
Click here for the episode "The Easiest Hack For Focus" and here for the episode "Three Steps To Take Control".
How to get control of your demands, distractions, business, emails, to-do lists, time, energy, routines, relationships, emotions, etc.
When women feel in control it has a ripple effect across their entire world. They are better moms, leaders, managers, role models, mentors, wives, daughters, and humans.
Today I'm telling you about the big a-ha I had: the control paradox. How to get more of it by having less of it.
If you've found this or episodes valuable, please SHARE and leave a quick review so more amazing women can be reached all around the world.
Yes, you’d love to prioritize the things that matter most to you.
Whether it’s professional priorities like getting systems in place or personal priorities like spending time with your kids – sometimes priorities are easier said than done.
That’s why it’s super important to get crystal clear on what you really want…and how systematically to get there.
Is one of your biggest distractions other people? Perhaps team members who interrupt your flow all the time? Good news: there is a way to take control.
In fact, there are 3 simple strategies to help you take control of the disruptions.
In this episode you'll learn:
1) the one thing that gives you control over other people's actions
2) 3 gaps in your business that allow people to constantly distract you (and each other)
3) how to quickly implement solutions so you and your team can stay focused and have less stress

Ep. 69: Balance Is A Real Thing With Cherylanne Skolnicki
14 Jun 2021
00:32:47
My guest today is going to help you be a rockstar at home and at work! Cherylanne knows exactly how it feels to have too much to do and not enough time to do it. She offers work/life coaching programs to help you have a fulfilling career, a thriving family life and sense of self.
Want to be a rock star at work and at home? Cherylanne Skolnicki has the playbook. As an entrepreneur with a husband and three kids of her own, she knows exactly how it feels to have too much to do and not enough time to do it. It's exhausting, it's stressful, and it can be tempting to just give in to the chaos.
Like most children of the 80s and 90s, Cherylanne grew up believing she could have it all. She started her first business while still in high school, and dreamed of one day becoming a CEO. After graduating from Cornell, she went to work for Procter & Gamble where she spent the next 15 years climbing the corporate ladder and managing a portfolio of well known consumer product brands (one had more than $1 billion in global sales).
Despite her demanding work schedule, she still traveled, ran marathons, and volunteered like a boss. And then she had 3 children. All of a sudden, the unrelenting pace she was running at felt unsustainable.
That’s when she knew she had to reorder her life so all the pieces would truly fit - including not just a thriving career and family life, but also a good night's sleep and some time to herself!
Her company, Brilliant Balance, offers work-life mentorship and coaching programs to help you have a fulfilling career, a thriving family life, and a strong sense of self.
Cherylanne is a sought-after speaker and hosts the top-rated Brilliant Balance podcast. Her work has been featured in Thrive Global, The Huffington Post, Forbes, Women’s Day, and Cincy Chic. She appears on TV news shows as an expert on work life balance, productivity, and purpose.
Cherylanne graduated from Cornell University in 1995. She holds an MBA from the Goizueta School of Management at Emory University. She is a member of the Female Founders Collective, one of Cincinnati’s 100 Wise Women, a Forty Under 40 Honoree, a happy wife, and a proud mom of three.
I'm always trying to do things better and grow. Even I fall off the wagon sometimes! You just need to have systems in place. When I get stuck I use the magic of meditation to get me back to where I need to be. Tune in and find out how!
