| Soil to Success: A Gen Z Entrepreneur’s Path to Growth | Ep. 23 | 26 Dec 2024 | 00:35:53 | |
Today’s Takeaways: 1. Success in entrepreneurship starts from within. Make "showing up for yourself" a non-negotiable part of your routine. Whether it's through journaling, meditation, or quiet reflection, these moments of stillness aren't just breaks – they're where your best strategic thinking and creative breakthroughs happen. 2. Your inner compass is more reliable than you think. That gut feeling telling you there's a better way to serve your market? Listen to it. The most successful entrepreneurs combine intuition with research to spot opportunities others miss. 3. Knowledge truly is power, but not in the way most think. The secret isn't knowing everything – it's being humble enough to learn from those who've walked the path before you. Speaking of which, DeVonne specifically recommends diving into "Ego is the Enemy" by Ryan Holiday as a powerful reminder to stay grounded while pursuing ambitious goals. 4. When evaluating business opportunities, look for gaps in accessibility. The most successful ventures often start by asking "Who's being left out?" rather than "What's the next big thing?" Your unique perspective might spot an underserved market that others have overlooked. 5. Build your support system intentionally. Seek out mentors who've navigated similar challenges in your industry. Their experience can help you avoid common pitfalls and provide crucial perspective when you're too close to see the forest for the trees. Remember, consistency trumps intensity. There will be days when motivation runs low and doubts run high. That's precisely when your practice of showing up for yourself – through reflection, learning, and connecting with mentors – becomes your anchor for moving forward. | Beyond Walls: Reimagining Spaces that Nurture Human and Environmental Potential | Ep. 22 | 13 Dec 2024 | 00:56:15
Today’s Takeaways 1. Reimagine Your Spaces Start bringing nature indoors. Look at your home, office, or workspace and ask: How can I incorporate natural elements? Add plants, maximize natural light, use natural materials, and create visual connections to the outdoors. Even small changes can dramatically improve your mood and productivity.
2. Think Long-Term in Sustainability When making business or personal investments, look beyond immediate returns. Research companies and practices that prioritize sustainability. Consider how green strategies can create value over time, even if the benefits aren't instantly visible. Sustainability is an investment in our collective future.
3. Shift from Problem-Spotting to Solution-Creating Stop dwelling on challenges. Every time you identify a problem, challenge yourself to propose at least one practical solution. Practice being a solution-oriented thinker. Instead of complaining about environmental issues, ask: "What can I do right now to make a positive difference?"
4. Understand the Role of Systemic Change Educate yourself about how regulations can drive meaningful environmental progress. Support policies that encourage sustainable practices. Engage with local and national policy discussions, and vote for leaders who prioritize environmental innovation.
5. Become a Knowledge Sharer Turn learning into action. When you discover something valuable about sustainability, share it. Start conversations, create content, teach others. Knowledge becomes powerful when it's distributed and applied collectively.
6. Adopt a Holistic Design Mindset Look at challenges through a comprehensive lens. Whether you're redesigning a room, developing a product, or solving a work problem, consider environmental impact, human experience, and innovative technologies simultaneously.
7. Create Urgency in Your Approach Don't wait for "someday." Make sustainable choices now. Whether it's reducing waste, choosing eco-friendly products, or supporting green businesses, your immediate actions matter. Procrastination is the enemy of progress.
8. Embrace Collaborative Consumption Explore sharing economy models. Consider shared workspaces, tool libraries, car-sharing services, and collaborative consumption platforms. These approaches reduce individual resource consumption and create more efficient, connected communities.
Bonus Tip: Lead by Example Remember, meaningful change starts with individual action. You don't need to be perfect, but you do need to be intentional. Each small step creates ripples of positive transformation. | Giving Thnks with Brendan Kamm | Ep. 1 | 29 Nov 2024 | 00:48:27
Today's Takeaways: 1) Expect the unexpected. 2) Have confidence that your passion will be successful, especially if you know there is a better way than what’s being done now. 3) Conduct an annual review of self. Take this as seriously as your professional annual review. 4) The importance of having an “outside” confidant/advisor 5) Why not now? 6) Constant evolution 7) For a company, success comes down to people and culture and starts at the top. You can’t underestimate the power of the right team! Surround yourself with good people, not necessarily the best talent (shocker!)! 8) Besides having a good idea and team, if you’ve started a business, ultimately there has to be a return on that investment to be sustainable. 9) There is no substitute for being present as a leader. 10) Move forward. There is no ”right time”.

| Behind the Laughs: Making the Vinnie-isms Documentary | Sneak Peek | Productive Passions | Ep. 21 | 01 Nov 2024 | 01:02:12 | |
Today's Takeaways: 1. Speak Your Goals into Existence - Sharing your goals and plans out loud with others isn’t just empowering; it brings your intentions to life. Voicing your ambitions creates accountability and adds a layer of commitment that makes it harder to quit. Let others in on your journey—it’s a powerful motivator.
2. Leave Regrets Behind - Don’t hold back or let fear stop you from trying. Replace those “coulda, shoulda, woulda’s” with actions that align with who you want to become. Life’s too short for regret; take each step forward with courage and purpose.
3. Embrace Growth Over Perfection - Success rarely comes without setbacks. Each failure teaches us what to work on and helps us become better. Take a chance on becoming something more, and don’t be afraid of falling short. Growth and improvement come through the lessons we learn along the way.
4. See Challenges as Stepping Stones - Each challenge is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and improve. By welcoming the bumps along the journey, we find the path to becoming our best selves. Embrace these moments as part of the path to success and self-mastery.

| Evolving Friendships: Navigating Change, Boundaries, and Emotional Growth | Ep. 19 | 20 Sep 2024 | 00:51:11 | |
Today’s Takeaways: 1. It’s okay to grieve friendship changes: It’s natural to feel sadness when a friendship changes or ends unexpectedly. Allow yourself to process these feelings without judgment
2. Avoid self-blame: When a friendship shifts without clear reason, don’t automatically think it’s because you’re not good enough. Challenge these thoughts and consider alternative perspectives.
3. Mindfully manage emotions: Managing emotions in a healthy way requires practice, intentionality, and mindfulness. Through “radical acceptance,” you can learn to stop fighting reality and let go of bitterness.
4. Evaluate the relationship’s purpose: Reflect on whether a friendship is still serving a positive role in your life. Doing a pros and cons list may help you assess the value of continuing the relationship.
5. Supportive friendships are a two-way street: Strong friendships encourage, uplift, and allow you to be your authentic self. While effort doesn’t have to be equal, it should be mutual.
6. Social media and friendships: Social media can sometimes distort our views of friendships, leading to feelings of FOMO or the illusion that everyone is a “best friend.”
7. Hard conversations can deepen connections: Open, honest conversations are crucial in healthy friendships, but recognize that not everyone may be ready or willing to engage in them.
8. Respect boundaries: Be willing to listen to each other's needs, respect boundaries, and negotiate what feels right for both sides in the relationship.
9. Take an introspective look. Consider who you are, your values, and how you’ve evolved. Accepting how we have evolved first then letting this define the kinds of friendships we want.

4. Vetting Mental Health Clinicians: When seeking mental health support, it’s essential to vet clinicians and service providers to ensure they have the knowledge and experience needed to work effectively with your specific needs. Quality and competence are key in delivering the care you deserve.

| Unlocking Elite Performance: Strategies for High Achievers with Rachel Vickery | Ep. 14 | 12 Jul 2024 | 01:13:50 | |
Today's Takeaways: 1. Don't fix broken - that just gives you - not broken. Instead create awesome!
2. Emotional sobriety refers to not allowing your emotions control you. In the presence of strong emotions, you stay in control of your behavior.
3. Being in a sympathetic state (sympathetic nervous system) is the fight, flight or freeze reaction we experience when faced with danger. Remaining in this state can lead to a scarcity mindset. In this state, we tend to hesitate, be defensive, and feel anxious. Our energy/attention is focused on threat.
4. Being in a parasympathetic state looks like being rested, the feeling of being safe, and calm.
5. Managing your state and staying away from redlining (or getting too far into a sympathetic state), is improved by incorporating several strategies (your “get-out-of-jail-free card”) including: -Eyes Up - open up your field of vision - look up and at the periphery -Breathe out and drop your shoulders -Gratitude - Having a “pre-loaded” gratitude thought helps when you use this strategy. Think of things you are grateful for that you can recall when incorporating these strategies. *Suggested best practice is to practice these strategies throughout the day so these become easier and more automatic to do. Practice this each time you reach for your phone. STOP (what you’re doing), DROP (your shoulders and chest) and FLOW (three diaphragmatic breaths - normal breathing in through your nose). This is your reset. -Excellence requires not just mastering your craft but mastering yourself. -For growth, dare to explore and say yes to opportunities that feel right even if they don’t appear “logical” at the moment. Ask yourself, does this make a difference? -To help others, be willing to share what you do so they know you can be a resource. Being able to step past your own fears, self doubt, and insecurities to serve others.

| Future of Fashion: Personalization, Sustainability & Style Confidence | Productive Passions | Ep. 27 | 21 Feb 2025 | 00:55:57 | |
Today’s Takeaways: 1. Express Yourself with Confidence Fashion isn't about blindly following trends – it's about finding your authentic style. Choose clothes and colors that boost your confidence and reflect your personality. As Nathalie emphasized, when you feel comfortable in what you wear, it shows in how you carry yourself. 2. Blaze Your Own Trail When venturing into uncharted territory, be discerning about whose advice you take. Traditional wisdom may not apply when you're breaking new ground. Nathalie reminded us that true innovation requires the courage to trust your vision and create your own path, even when there's no roadmap to follow. 3. Personalization: A Path to Sustainable Business The shift from mass production to personalization represents the future of commerce. This evolving approach exemplifies how customizing products to individual needs not only provides better service but also promotes sustainability. By creating products specifically for each customer, industries can significantly reduce waste from unsold inventory, excess production, and unused or ill-suited items. This transformative model connects regional producers with global markets, reducing carbon emissions from shipping and unnecessary packaging while ensuring each product serves its intended purpose. 4. The Power of Cultural Heritage Our cultural roots play a significant role in shaping our professional aspirations and choices. Nathalie's insights revealed how the values, traditions, and experiences from our own cultural background can become powerful drivers of our career paths and future endeavors. 5. Technology's Transformative Power The convergence of industry and technology is reshaping our world in ways we never anticipated. Through Nathalie's perspective, we saw how this intersection is creating new opportunities and challenging traditional business models. 🎙 GUEST SPOTLIGHT: Nathalie Neuilly • Instagram: @dressarte • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/natneuilly • Email: contact@dressarteparis.com • Website: dressarteparis.com • YouTube: youtube.com/@trueselfstylist 📢 PODCAST INFO: • Website: productivepassions.com • Spotify: open.spotify.com/show/5sVM0bWVyyPfoq63jA2th7?si=e37eaa1239554370 • Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/productive-passions/id1722526123 • Amazon Music: music.amazon.com/podcasts/ad852885-1fd6-4fb5-8e09-702be230d5b3/productive-passions • Podbean: productivepassions.podbean.com • iHeartRadio: iheart.com/podcast/1323-productive-passions-158963722 🌐 SOCIAL: • Facebook: facebook.com/productivepassions • Instagram: instagram.com/productivepassions • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/christytagye/ • Email: christy@productivepassions.com

| Man of Iron: How Robert Norris Is Redefining What’s Possible | Ep. 52 | 20 Feb 2026 | 00:19:55 | |
Mindset is often the foundation of leadership, growth, and what we believe is possible. In this episode, Christy Tagye sits down with Robert Norris, also known as Man of Iron, to explore how discipline, consistency, and joy can redefine limits. As a Guinness World Record holder and the first person with Down syndrome to complete a full Ironman triathlon unguided, Robert reminds us that belief, commitment, and small daily actions can compound into extraordinary outcomes. | Recentered: Staying Grounded When New Year Motivation Fades: Practical tools for mindfulness, emotional regulation, and intentional living beyond resolutions | Ep. 51 | 06 Feb 2026 | 00:45:44
When New Year motivation fades, staying grounded becomes the real work. In this episode, Amit and I explore mindfulness, emotional regulation, and intentional living as tools for sustainable personal growth beyond resolutions and willpower. Today's Takeaways 1) Make 2026 “the year of you” not as selfishness, but as leadership. Personal growth isn’t self-centered; it’s foundational. Amit reframes self-development as responsibility: when you work on your mindset, emotional health, and self-awareness, you naturally show up as a stronger partner, parent, leader, and friend. 2) Create a “blueprint of life” to break unhelpful patterns. Most people set New Year intentions, then drift back into old habits. Amit suggests mapping what truly matters, your values, priorities, and energy drains so your personal growth doesn’t get overridden by autopilot living. 3) Your mind prioritizes comfort over growth even when comfort costs peace. The mind avoids discomfort by rationalizing delays (“I’m too busy,” “now’s not the time”). Amit emphasizes mindful awareness as the skill that helps you recognize when avoidance is masquerading as responsibility. 4) Emotional triggers are data, not verdicts. When someone “triggers” you, it often reveals unresolved emotions rather than wrongdoing. Amit explains that self-reflection—asking what was activated in me? turns conflict into emotional intelligence training. 5) You don’t see people as they are you see them through conditioned perception. Past experiences color present interactions. Amit reminds us that awareness helps separate reality from emotional projection, improving relationships and reducing reactive behavior. 6) The highest-impact habit: 5–10 minutes of daily self-connection. A short daily mindfulness practice—walking, sitting quietly, or checking in emotionally creates clarity, emotional regulation, and consistency far more effectively than dramatic life overhauls. 7) Improve relationships by improving yourself first. Instead of trying to change your partner, Amit advocates inner work: when you bring emotional stability, confidence, and self-love into a relationship, the dynamic often improves without force. 8) Stop seeking permission to grow. Lifestyle changes (health, boundaries, sobriety, reflection) can threaten others who are attached to old versions of you. Amit’s guidance: communicate clearly, but don’t abandon personal growth to keep others comfortable. 9) Replace “walking on eggshells” with real connection in close relationships. Communication often breaks down most with the people closest to us. Amit suggests rebuilding relationships through genuine curiosity asking “How was your day?” and truly listening to what’s being said, without distraction or defensiveness. 10) Intentional questions deepen connection instantly. When questions are asked out of habit, answers stay shallow. When asked with presence, they invite emotional honesty. This shift strengthens trust, empathy, and authentic communication. 11) Practice the 80/20 rule: listen 80%, speak 20%. Deep listening creates emotional safety and space for insight. Silence isn’t awkward, it’s where clarity, understanding, and peace often emerge. 12) Discomfort in silence signals growth, not danger. Avoiding stillness often means avoiding truth. Amit compares inner awareness to a warning signal—not punishment, but guidance toward healing and alignment. 13) Approach self-awareness playfully, not critically. Treat reflection like exploration rather than self-judgment. When personal growth feels engaging instead of heavy, consistency and insight come naturally. 14) A mantra for emotional regulation: “Think and act do not react.” Reaction is automatic; intentional action is conscious. Repeating this principle builds mindfulness, resilience, and better decision-making in daily life. 15) Balance self-focus with selfless action. Helping others without agenda reframes perspective, reduces emotional isolation, and reconnects you to purpose. Service strengthens empathy and restores gratitude. When you slow down, listen inward, and live with intention, you stop reacting to life and start consciously shaping it. Which takeaway stood out most for you, and what’s one small action you can take this week to live it?
