Questions from Discord:

  • jtlawbass: What is a game character’s accessory or item of clothing you’d like to have? I would like either Master Chief’s armor or the Buster Sword from FFVII (Feel free to include weapons like I did since I was having a brain fart on the word “weapon” and said accessories instead. Side effect of not having any sugar for 2 weeks)

  • Brydude: Do you guys think Cory in the House will dethrone Expedition 33 for number 1 on Metacritic?

  • campfire_knight: What is/are your guilty game(s)?  For me, the definition of a guilty pleasure game is more about, "Man, i really ought to play something else that is either more new or is of higher quality than this thing.  However, i just can't stop myself from playing this game every now and again."The game that probably best fits this category for me is FF10-2.  There are better JRPGs in terms of gameplay mechanic loops, story, and sidequests.  But I have yet to find another JRPG that is centered around a bunch of magical girls kicking butt Charlie's Angel style the way FF10-2 does!!  Also, WHO THE HECK IS LENNE??🦉

Questions from Discord:

  • Joe: What are your biggest disappointments of the year? For me it honestly might be the Switch 2. I just think outside of Donkey Kong the first-party titles aren't the best so far. Plus, the high price of the system, charging $80 for a Mario Kart with less content than the previous title, key cards, etc. Also, Microsoft, fuck ‘em.

  • Campfire_knight: Here's a fun question: What is your annual game(s) that you replay? For me, I probably replay Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Dark Souls 3 the most of any of the games I own. They are just so near and dear to my heart.🦉

  • Jtlawbass: Do you have any gaming regrets (either IRL or in-game)? Mine are getting rid of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the OG Xbox when I sold it and the console to afford my 360. And in Mass Effect 2 I was romancing Miranda because I loved her on Chuck but sided with Jack in an argument, so she gave me the cold shoulder for the rest of the game. 🦉

  • Jtlawbass: May have been asked before but what game, games, or kinds of games do you like to play during the holiday season from October to December (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)? Being stuck in a climate where I can usually wear shorts and flip flops on Christmas Day, I love playing games like Skyrim where I can run around in snow at least virtually.🦉

Questions from Discord:

  • Beavis Christ: This is a big one, but that's why we pay you guys the big bucks: What do you think the next console generation will be like? What will the consoles be like? What genres will rise and fall? Or any thoughts you have. (I keep remembering how in either the PS3 or PS4 gen, a bunch of people thought that not only were the end of physical game sales imminent, but so was the end of new consoles, and that if anything there would be essentially newer Pro versions of the same consoles, or add-ons to upgrade your console. Because the Sega 32X did so well I guess lol. So that's kinda what made me think of this)

For me, it’s either renting video games at the local Blockbuster or Movie Gallery on a Friday night and playing them all weekend, or instruction manuals for video games.

  • RaxonXVI: What’s your favorite girl in Resident Evil? Mine’s Jill, but I have a massive thing for Ashley as well, and I'm absolutely LOVING Grace so far. (I'm crazy hyped for 9.)

  • Beavis Christ: Who else has been eating more bananas bc of DK? And when you unwrap it, do you go OOOOHHHH, BUHNAAAHNAHHH - yes or yes?

  • RaxonXVI: Who's your favorite girl in Final Fantasy? I love a lot, but I have a massive special place in my heart for Terra from 6.🦉

  • RaxonXVI: Have you ever loved a game so much you bought different versions of it, and what game have you bought the most? My top 2 are Final Fantasy 6 and Saints Row: The Third.

Questions from Discord:

  • RaxonXVI: Similar to last week, which is the best version of Princess Zelda, and who's the best girl in the series that's not Zelda? For Zelda herself, I'm torn between Skyward Sword's and the Wild versions. And best non-Zelda girl is Purah; I loves her.

  • RaxonXVI: Are there any games that you wanted so much only for them to get canned? For me, it's Alice Asylum; I wanted that game so badly.

Questions from Discord:

  • Joe: Have you ever unintentionally ignored a gameplay mechanic until late in a game? I beat Sekiro this week and didn't realize I could increase my attack power until like 7 or 8 main bosses into the game. Also I guess that means I'm Hella good at games lol.

  • Brydude: Backstory on how you guys all met.🦉

  • RaxonXVI: So in the last episode it was mentioned how Death Stranding takes some time to click and become fun. What's another game you love that's like that? For me it was Final Fantasy 12; once you figure out how to set things up, it becomes super fun.

  • jtlawbass: Finished Expedition 33 over the weekend. Loved the music. What game scores or soundtracks do you like best? I’m currently working my way through all 8.5 hrs of tracks (!) in the E33 score and it’s inspired me to create a game soundtrack playlist. Would love suggestions for it.
