The go-to podcast for moms who want to feel less overwhelmed in the trenches of early motherhood.

***TOP 5% GLOBALLY RANKED PODCAST ***

You did everything they told you to do.

You took the birth class.

You built the baby registry.

You prepped the nursery, the hospital bag-maybe even printed a checklist or two.

But somewhere between the gender guesses and the baby pools, no one prepared you for the most important part: the exhaustion, the mental load, the identity shift—life after birth.

If you’re overwhelmed, touched-out, or wondering when you’ll finally feel like yourself again, you’re not alone-and you’re not failing.

You’re in the right place, mama.

Hi, I’m Chelsea Barbine—wife, mom of two under three, postpartum health coach, and the friend who will always ask you to tell me more.

I’ve lived two very different postpartum realities.
The first? A summer baby who arrived five days past her due date. I had a 9–5 job, full-time childcare, and a calm, two-person household.

The second? A winter baby born six weeks early, 16 days in the NICU, a toddler at home, and a business I wasn’t taking much of a "maternity leave" from.

What I’ve learned is this: the only way to be the mom you want to be is to make sure you’re supported, too

On a mission to rewrite the postpartum narrative for the collective I’m sharing my “secrets” to better sleep, sanity and self-identity in motherhood. Because truthfully - the health and happiness of the world depends on us!

If you’re ready to finally feel at home in your postpartum body… to create rhythms that support your healing, boost your energy, and strengthen your bond with your baby… to make confident decisions without spending hours scrolling for answers… and to reconnect with who you are—without the mom guilt—this podcast is for you.

So throw in that claw clip and grab your Hydrojug. It’s time to Postpartum Better!

120. Is It Your Child or Your Childhood That’s Triggering You? Nervous System + Postpartum Healing with Michele Maguire

samedi 15 novembre 2025Duration 01:05:30

Send a text

Motherhood has a sneaky way of resurfacing childhood wounds—especially when you’re about to spend a lot of time with family. In this conversation, Chelsea is joined by her friend and coach, Michele Maguire, to explore how our early life experiences don’t just live in the past… they show up in our nervous system, our relationships, and the way we respond to our kids.

Because as much as we may wish that becoming a mom will erase old patterns, it doesn’t - it just intensifies them.

So if you’ve ever felt “irrationally” triggered by your toddler’s tantrum, your baby’s crying, or your husband not listening—and then immediately spiraled into shame—know that the first step to change is awareness. The second step is in this episode!

samedi 24 février 2024Duration 34:30

Send a text

Well mamas, Chelsea is 99.9% sure that her daughter has her first crush and it’s bringing up all the feels. In navigating this “new” and the start of both the feeling and processing of BIG emotions, Chelsea is reminded of advice she received from a mama friend before Frankie was even born.

In this episode she shares the moments she misses from the newborn days, what she’s cherishing in the present, and how she guided her daughter (and herself) through a full blown meltdown over the beloved babydoll. #IYKYK

19. One Thing I Took for Granted Postpartum

samedi 10 février 2024Duration 31:39

Send a text

Right before her daughter’s first birthday, Chelsea joined her local mom’s FB group. Of late there have been a lot of posts from expecting mom’s asking for advice and must-have product recommendations.

Join Chelsea as she reflects back on the first weeks to months postpartum as she recalls what items (and more importantly the people that) were the game changers. Admittedly, it was hard not to think about the clock ticking on her maternity leave as soon as her husband went back to work. Hear how the countdown and actual return played a huge role in her early days postpartum.

18. The Baby Shower Revolution with Kaitlin McGreyes, Doula & Founder of BeHerVillage

samedi 3 février 2024Duration 45:10

Send a text

In 2021 the gift baby registry was $12 billion and the postpartum care industry was $2.22 billion. Now she’s not the brightest with math, BUT Chelsea knows enough to realize the significant difference between these investments and she’s not alone in understanding the detriment this ultimately puts mothers and their babies at.

Join Chelsea as she fangirls over Doula and Founder of BeHerVillage, Kaitlin McGreyes. BeHerVillage, the gift registry dedicated to supporting mamas, was birthed in response to Kaitlin’s first postpartum experience of returning to a house full of registry gifts but no village in sight. On a mission to make sure that all of the mothers and parents that come after her, won’t go through the same thing, Kaitlin invites us to join her in the Baby Shower Revolution.

15: Navigating Postpartum Identity Shifts with Brooke Koeninger

samedi 20 janvier 2024Duration 56:55

Send a text

With a baby comes a lot of change, some expected and some not. Join Chelsea as she chats with fellow mama, friend, and podcaster, Brooke Koeninger who shares how she internally struggled with her ambition for a successful career and desire to be present with her family for years.

Brooke, now seasoned mama of 3, acknowledges her greatest challenge was her resistance to the change of her priorities. Which to her surprise changed with each child, just as she, too, changed following each birth.

With a nod to Core Care Cultivate’s mission, Brooke’s postpartum non-negotiable for all mamas is the investment in reconnecting with themselves. Whether you’re anticipating the end of your maternity leave, struggling to find the balance between meetings and field trips, or re-entering the workforce after decades of holding (arguably) the best yet most challenging job of them all as a SAHM, this conversation is full of insight and inspiration.
