Chess allegorically reflected the Cold War tensions present in the 1980s by telling a story of a love triangle between two grandmasters –one American, one Russian--and a woman serves as a manager to one of the players but falls in love with the other. The musical was inspired by some of the political machinations surrounding the 1972 Fischer-Spassky World Championship match.
Note: Chess has had multiple versions throughout its time. The original London version differs greatly from the less popular Broadway version. Additional, there have been adaptations in multiple countries, and a staged concert in 2008. The versions can change the setting, time, and song order.
Murder For Two tells the story of Officer Marcus Moscowicz, an aspiring detective who attempts to solve the murder of a prolific novelist in hopes that he’ll be promoted at work. While investigating the crime, Marcus meets 13 zany suspects, all played by one actor. From the bespectacled wife of the victim to the victim’s gruff, cigar-smoking therapist, Marcus must get to know the suspects and make sense of their wild stories in order to solve the crime.

What makes a monster and what makes a man? This is the central theme of The Hunchback of Notre Dame whichtells the story of Quasimodo, the hunchbacked bell-ringer of Notre Dame, and his desire to one day be a part of the outside world. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all.
We are starting the new year with a return to our all time favorite anime series --Death Note. The story follows Light Yagami, a teen genius who discovers a mysterious notebook: the "Death Note", which grants the user the supernatural ability to kill anyone whose name is written in its pages. The musical centers around Light's ideal of creating a crime-free society, using the alias of a god-like vigilante named "Kira", and the subsequent efforts of an elite Japanese police task force, led by enigmatic detective L, to apprehend him.

To celebrate the holiday, we are on a journey with Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, who is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween Town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween -- but alas, they just can't get it quite right!

When he is expelled from school for the sixth time, his mother decides that it is time for Percy to know the truth. The Greek gods are real and, what’s more, Percy is a demigod, the son of Poseidon. Along with fellow demigod Annabeth (the daughter of Athena) and best friend and protector Grover (who happens to be a Satyr), Percy must go on an epic quest to retrieve Zeus’ stolen lightning bolt and prevent war amongst the gods.
