We only have a handful left before wrapping the show up. YEARS of staying up late and cutting the conversations together of Eric, Marc, and I always re-reminded me why I've been pals with these guys for years. It was a joy and I'll miss doing it.

| A Space Poddity 15 : David Bowie (1967) | 14 Feb 2020 | 02:24:14 | |
In this episode, your three loveable lads of lively conversation take you inside the Deram world of David Bowie's first self titled album, David Bowie, released in 1967. We take you lovely birds and cool cats into the swinging 60's where Bowie was finding his artistry by conversing with Laughing Gnomes, playing in Rubber Bands, begging to Gravediggers, borrowing comics from Uncle Arthur, and urging someone to buy his toys. Does Bowie ultimately succeed in becoming the next groovy sound from London or does he have to go back to the drawing board to figure this whole rock 'n roll thing out? To connect to people through their love of music via a jovial conversation, laying out the spoils of our various takes on the deep dive in discographies. They've been holding hands and traversing through the history of music in this season 2: David Bowie. All was going well. Best.Laid.Plans.
Cut to Shady Pines Mental Institue: A nurse walks into a room. It is shadowed by the afternoon sun hitting the blinds just so. Three patients in the room don't notice. Their poor minds are gone. A serious trauma twisted their neurons into their emotions and blocked any further chance at experiencing the world in the same way. Marc is curled on the floor, hitting his head onto a wood block, repeatedly. Eric crying as he drops his spoonful of jello again, not getting a single bite into his mouth. Steven, humming madness as he tries to connect a lego to a duplo. The doctor approaches the nurse, sighs and shrugs, "What's all this then?" To which the nurse replied, "Tin Machine, doc. Those sweet boys never recovered from Tin Machine. It broke their minds." Enjoy the maddening adventure in to the colossal assault on our dignity. Tin Machine.

| A Space Poddity 04 : Station to Station | 12 Jun 2019 | 01:57:50 | |
In the latest installment of Pod Like a Hole, the gang goes Station To Station. They cover the crazy recording sessions that David and the band lived through, the nutzo influences our hero was living through, and the bonkers full length feature film The Man Who Fell To Earth lived through. All in the year 1976. This is all preamble to our track by track analysis of the 6 excellent songs found on Station to Station. It was a late night and Eric drank all the milk and Marc unleashed the secret of peppers. If you'd like to support Marc's pepper habit please consider becoming a patron over at Patreon https://www.patreon.com/join/podlikeahole. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as Steve did keeping Thin White Duke hours editing it.

| A Space Poddity 3 : Never Let Me Down | 25 May 2019 | 02:42:26 | |
If you've ever wondered how it would be possible to have three guys talk for nearly 3 hours about David Bowie's self-admittedly worst album, then wonder no more. Our trusty Diamond Dice sends us to David Bowie's 17th studio album, Never Let Me Down, where we traverse through what's considered David Bowie's career nadir. Eric, Marc, and Steve go track by track and compare it to the re-worked 2018 versions available on Loving the Alien (1983-1988) to see if this album got a bad rap, and we're not just talking about Mickey Rourke's appearance on the record. | A Space Poddity 2 : Space Oddity | 06 May 2019 | 02:28:02
Pod Like A Hole presents: A Space Oddity 02: "Space Oddity" Marc, Eric and Steve, your hosts, rolled the Diamond Dice. Fate chose the next album and that choice sent us into a tin can, where we have been ever since...sending a track-by-track analysis of the David Bowie album "Space Oddity" back to ground control. Does anyone hear our transmission? Enjoy this episode as we dissect this strange, folk-a-delic album. We look into the world of 1969, and have special legacy guest Jeff Anderson explain the politics and music scene of the summer of love from first hand experience in a series of sound bites. Does Major Tom ever get back to Earth? Does the Growth Lab ever stop sucking life from their Messiah? Does Hermione enjoy her letter? We get into all of it and hope you enjoy it. Please let us know if you do, or don't...or if we missed any good details. https://www.facebook.com/podlikeahole/?ref=bookmarks Pod Like a Hole is: Marc Steve Eric Artwork by Greg Wolgast https://www.instagram.com/g.wolgast.art/ LINX: Space Oddity Promotional Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D67kmFzSh_o Memories of a Free Festival pts 1&2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIrGZErqkD0 Prettiest Star https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16A1bxJsPNY Conversation Piece https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA5WyBMPULE Italian Space Oddity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tPlPYuDZYs Rammstein - Radio
| A Space Poddity 1: Blackstar | 22 Apr 2019 | 02:48:00 | |
Pod Like a Hole Phase 2: A Space Poddity "Blackstar" After sending Pod Like a Hole into the black hole at the end of Season 1, your boys have returned as a singularity. An enlightened entity of hope, wit and outrageous flash.... Marc, Steve and Eric have returned to host Season 2: A Space Poddity. For each of these episodes we will randomly (thanks to our "Diamond Dice") review a David Bowie album. As always we'll give history, pop culture, and patented Pod Like A Hole humor and camaraderie. In this premiere episode, we begin at the end with the delightfully nu-jazzy swan song, known as "Blackstar". We bid Ol Button Eyes adieu, just as we nod bonjour. In this episode we also discuss Kendrick Lamar, Aleister Crowley, and some recently dropped "Nine Inch News". Well, it's done for now. After trekking through all Nine Inch Nails albums, singles, scores, and side projects, the hosts finally reach the end. We rank the albums and share our "Top 9" Nine Inch Nails Songs (It's actually 10, having O be the true #1, but we're sooo clever). As this season (series?) comes to its conclusion, we also look ahead to what's next.
