Episode 101 sees all of us together again for a short but fun podcast. No interviews or guests this time - but we have some great topics for you to listen to. We discuss managing modeling stress and anxiety, and of course we go over the incredible response to our Posse 100 Group Build. We also discuss a recent visit that Scott and JB made to Panzer Fabrik in Delta, Colorado, just south of Grand Junction.

We also make some audio changes to the podcast to hopefully make it more enjoyable to listen to. Scott has removed some of the processing and produced what is hopefully a more natural sounding podcast for all of you!

The Posse is (almost) all here! We missed Jensen (Happy Birthday) but have one of our best collective episodes in a while with great discussions.

We recap the recent AMPS Nationals, with a segment featuring JB, Scott, Ian Bonner, and Jonathan (ModelDoc) Anderson. We also feature a segment outlining the team behind the forthcoming Inaugural Rocky Mountain Expo in SLC on June 22. JB interviews Scott, Barry Beideger from Small Subjects, and Shawn Earl on this new Model Show. 

We also have some great listener feedback, discuss whether we have work that has possibly been a little underappreciated, and whether or not we as modelers underappreciate our own work.  Another interesting discussion revolves around JB talking about times where he just needs to shut the social aspect of modeling down for a while and get some work done at the bench solo. This also leads to some introspective discussions of benchtime - music, podcasting, zoom calls, and even modeling together in local clubs!

Modeling Inspiration

Mental Health and Scale Modeling, plus Jon Bius!
 
Jon Bius joins us for a great conversation about Science Fiction modeling, his journey to becoming a Youtuber, and the culture of scale modeling.

We discuss a new initiative called the Golden Sprue Awards, an exciting new website poll that has been created by Warren Starrett.  Warren can also be heard talking about his initiative in Episode 91 of the On The Bench Podcast, and both the Plastic Model Mojo and Scale Model Podcast shows have recently discussed the Golden Sprue Awards.
 
We also discuss the basic type of airbrush paints – the types used, pros and cons of each, and who makes these paints. This paint primer will also be a foundation that we will expand on in future episodes as painting is a huge topic!
