Though we don't have access to actual XBox stats on the player base, we do have insight into how many players have played Sea of Thieves. I dive into the XBox achievement data and take the numbers reported by Sea of Thieves's website and do the math to find out how many actual players there have been in Sea of Thieves vs how many accounts have just logged in 1 time. Season 2 has not started off great for Sea of Thieves. Though the launch of Fort of Fortune has pushed interesting interactions, the hype wasn't enough to even match the launch of Season 1. It's 2021 and that means we look forward to the much anticipated Season pass in Sea of Thieves. As we near the end of Sea of Thieves Season 11, Rare has released their 2024 road map showing players a look ahead at Season 12, 13 and 14 with some details of what we can expect as we sail through this year. I have my concerns with their features but also am very excited to see so many awesome sandbox changes coming to the game.
