Welcome again to "The Pigment Paradox," where we navigate the complexities and realities of colorism against women in Indian workplaces. We heard about the challenges faced by employees in the last podcast but in this episode, let's hear the perspective of HR managers and their challenges in solving this issue. We will also hear from a few professionals working in the space of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, also known as DEI about their view on colorism and whether it is even an issue to be solved for under the DEI realm.

 In this episode, we  dive into personal stories and tackle the tough topic of colorism in the workplace. I define colorism as the practice of treating people differently based on their skin tone. Lighter skin often receives preferential treatment, while darker skin faces discrimination. This bias exists across various racial and ethnic communities and influences important areas such as employment, housing, and social interactions.
