Petersfield Cobbler almost 30 years on Chapel Street

Steve White and his son Lewis, run the Petersfield Cobblers on Chapel Street and it’s been there for almost 30 years.

Steve himself has been in the business for 45 years and loves the work and the people - over the years he’s been invited to weddings and sadly funerals.

Fleetwood Nights bring Fleetwood Mac magic to Petersfield

The spirit of Fleetwood Mac recently filled Festival Hall Petersfield as Petersfield sang along and danced the night away.

Local musicians joined forces in a new collaboration, with Fleetwood Nights bringing the classic hits of one of the most loved bands of past decades to life. The performance had the audience on its feet as song after song got the crowd singing along.

Regular listeners will know Paul Jupe — a farmer from Buriton and a “friend of Shine Radio”. The international award-winning country musician and songwriter, who often features on The Local Showcase, has recently joined the band.

Among those enjoying the show was Jo Gray, who even managed to pop backstage for a quick chat…

F.C. Hiscock has been serving Liphook since 1929

June and John Brandrick have decided to retire from the family business, which John's maternal grandparents started 97 years ago. They still live in the same premises and will get most of their garden and house back when they close the much loved Liphook Pet and Garden supplies business on March 28th. Mark Simpson caught up with them recently to find out the history of the shop and their future plans.
