Pennies in the Well – Details, episodes & analysis

Well, it's been nearly a pandemic since last we chatted.  But huzzah!  It is happening!  It's a short episode because I'm exploring something new and weird.  This discussion on Arcanum (what is Arcanum?  well, listen and learn and discover that it's nothing new, but perhaps conveniently labelled) was not only recorded for here, as audio, but also livestreamed on YouTube! 

That's right, if you're inclined you can watch me babble instead of just listening to it.  And yeah, it's a rough episode because being watched is so much stranger than just being listened to.

You could say that this episode is a part 2 to episode 49, expanding into some specifics around places to employ that REAL connected communication.  But since it was planned first, is it really part 2?  It's a more tangential relationship, I think, though still around communication.

We discuss 3 invitations/challenges on communication:

1) accepting apologies

2) letting people be in a difficult space, holding space for them and reflecting

3) witnessing people as they truly are

Well, just goes to show that we never know what the future will bring.  Welcome to Episode 40 of Pennies in the Well.  The episode that wasn't sure it would ever be.   Mabon starts us off, as does a discussion of the need for reclusion.  Then a jaunt in making beds the magical way, a bit of a blather on doing ritual with an hourglass for timing and fun (This Ritual Has 27 Minutes, so Canadian of me, eh?) and finishing with Part 2 of the Wake World by Aleister Crowley.   Happy listening!

Episode 38 looks at the relationship we have with our bodies, starting from our sexual connection to ourselves and travelling from there as well as a Mission Magical segment on reflecting on all the feel good moments of the day. It's an odd episode, tossing out a few thoughts and sharing some stories on a certain acceptable level of madness that we should well embrace, in my opinion followed by some meandering thought exploration of service and master/slave dynamic and what that can mean in a spiritual context.
