Our September interview is with actress, comedian and writer Sara Pascoe.
Born in Dagenham, Sara’s early career included being a London tour guide before her comedy career took off with acclaimed appearances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and recognition in the 2008 Funny Women awards. She has taken her stand-up show on national tours and worked on many television shows including "Taskmaster", "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" and "Have I Got News For You?". Her debut book “Animal: The Autobiography Of A Female Body” was published in 2016 and her second “ Sex, Power Money” in 2019. Her debut novel “Weirdo” is out now and available in all good bookshops.

Allan Lochead, is an engineer and actor from south London. Originally training as an engineer, the door opened to the world of poetry and drama when he attended a public speaking evening class run by the actor George Pensotti, at the Mary Ward Centre in London and this poem describes that experience.

Carole's monologue is called Funeral Story and it is written and performed by Carole Pluckrose with music, effects and editing by Chris Gregory. The story is entirely fictional and the characters are not intended to represent any particular individual or individuals. Our interview today is with novelist Erin Kelly. Erin’s debut novel The Poison Tree, published while Erin was working full time as a journalist, was adapted for television by ITV and enjoyed a huge amount of commercial and critical success. Subsequent books including “we know / you know” and “He said / she said” were featured on Richard and Judy’s book club and when an author was required to write the novelisation of the BAFTA winning TV show Broadchurch, Erin was selected. Her most recent critically acclaimed novel is “Watch Her Fall.”
