| What Happens When You Stop Reaching? | 26 Oct 2026 | 00:10:44 | |
In this week’s Sacred Pause reflection, What Happens When You Stop Reaching?, we explore the practice of receiving and what can become available when we loosen our grip on constant effort, striving, and the need to move toward the next thing. Receiving does not mean becoming passive or pretending everything is fine. It can be as simple as allowing ourselves to notice the support, rest, kindness, beauty, or quiet that may already be present. This reflection invites us to experiment with a little less effort and a little more receptivity, both in meditation and in everyday life. If you’d like to explore this theme through practice, you’re welcome to join me in my live meditation classes throughout the week. | Pause, Notice, Trust Meditation | 21 Oct 2026 | 00:13:20
In this week’s Free Meditation Moments with Deb, Pause, Notice, Trust offers a gentle practice for creating a little space between what you notice and the urge to immediately explain, question, or change it. Through body awareness, quiet reflection, and several minutes of silence, you’ll practice acknowledging what is present without needing to know exactly what it means. Sometimes trust begins simply by allowing yourself to notice your experience and give it a little time. A quick note: This meditation was recorded during last night’s live Tuesday Community Meditation & Connection. The live Tuesday gathering is now on pause, but I’ll continue recording and sharing these free meditations each week as Free Meditation Moments with Deb. | The Pause Before You Second-Guess Yourself | 19 Oct 2026 | 00:10:37
In Week 3 of Sacred Pause, we explore what happens in the space between noticing something and immediately questioning it. The Pause Before You Second-Guess Yourself looks at self-trust as something quieter than certainty, giving ourselves room to recognize what we feel, sense, or notice before deciding what it means. You’re also invited to join me for our Free Community Meditation on Tuesday at 6:30 PM CT, where we’ll practice together. | A Moment of Reflection | 15 Oct 2026 | 00:15:56
Sometimes, a little pause is all we need to reconnect with ourselves and listen to what may be asking for our attention. This morning, I shared a collective reading from my new Aromatherapy & Crystal Oracle Deck, and I’d love to share that experience with you. In this gentle 15-minute session, I introduce my newest deck, guide a brief grounding practice, and draw a card for reflection and intuitive guidance. Together, we explore the card’s crystal ally, aromatic ally, reflection, and affirmation, along with how its message might speak to our everyday lives. I also invite you to choose a single word to carry with you into the coming days—a simple reminder of whatever feels meaningful to you. I’d love to hear from you: After watching, what word came to mind? Did the card’s message offer a new perspective or something to reflect upon? ✨ Explore my Aromatherapy & Crystal Oracle Deck If you’d like to work with the cards yourself, the deck is available at https://scentering.com and includes access to an online companion guide with additional reflections and mindfulness practices. I hope this little moment of reflection offers you an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and listen inward. With peace,Deb You’re warmly invited to join my free Skool community, where we explore meditation together and connect with others who are building a more mindful life. You can also access my Audio Meditation Library on Palette for $5 a month, with meditation recordings from the past 60 days available anytime you’d like a practice to return to. | Resting into the Body | 30 Sep 2026 | 00:13:25
Resting Into the Body is a quiet, spacious mindfulness practice for slowing down and allowing the body to rest without trying to force relaxation. Inspired in part by Thích Nhất Hạnh’s teachings on Deep Relaxation, this meditation invites gentle awareness of the body, a sense of being supported, and plenty of silence to simply rest. Rather than trying to change what you feel, the practice encourages tenderness, ease, and mindful presence. This meditation is part of our September Softening Inner Tension: 30 Days of Mindfulness, Compassion & Emotional Ease and supports the closing theme of resting, integrating, and carrying the practice forward. | Rest, Integrate & Carry It Forward | 27 Sep 2026 | 00:11:06
In this final reflection for Softening Inner Tension, Deb explores what it means to rest, integrate what we have practiced, and choose what we want to carry forward. Drawing from Thích Nhất Hạnh’s teachings on Deep Relaxation, mindfulness, and tenderness toward the body and emotions, this talk invites us to notice the small changes that may already be taking root. Rather than ending the month with the idea of having “conquered” anger or reactivity, we close by asking what feels worth continuing. The invitation is simple: rest, notice what has become clearer, and ask, What do I want to cultivate from here? | Week 4: Responding with Greater Care | 20 Sep 2026 | 00:14:23
In this Week 4 reflection for Softening Inner Tension, Deb explores what happens after we have recognized and understood our reactions. The next step is learning how to respond with more care. Drawing from the teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh, this talk looks at deep listening, loving speech, compassionate communication, and the importance of creating enough space to choose how we want to respond. This week’s invitation is to notice the difference between reacting automatically and responding from a steadier, more thoughtful place. | Finding Steadiness in the Storm | 16 Sep 2026 | 00:15:32
Finding Steadiness in the Storm is a gentle mindfulness practice for those moments when emotion feels strong and it is easy to become swept up in thoughts, tension, or reactivity. Inspired by Thích Nhất Hạnh’s teaching of the tree in a storm, this meditation guides you to find one steady anchor, such as your feet, hands, the support beneath you, a sound, the breath, or a hand over the heart, while allowing the emotion itself to be present. The practice is not about making the feeling disappear. It is about learning how to stay connected to something steady while the feeling moves through, so this becomes a tool you can use in everyday life as well as in meditation. This meditation is part of Softening Inner Tension: 30 Days of Mindfulness, Compassion & Emotional Ease, a free September practice available inside the Peaceful Wellness Skool community. | Week 3: What Lies Beneath the Reaction? | 13 Sep 2026 | 00:12:57
In this Week 3 reflection for Softening Inner Tension, Deb explores what can happen when we become curious about what may be underneath frustration, anger, overwhelm, or another strong reaction. Drawing from the teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh, this talk looks at finding steadiness first, then gently looking more deeply. Sometimes beneath the first reaction we may discover hurt, fear, exhaustion, disappointment, an unmet need, or even an assumption about what happened. This week’s invitation is to slow down enough to ask: What might be underneath this reaction? and What do I actually know, and what am I assuming? You do not need to have completed the previous weeks to benefit from this reflection. You can begin wherever you are. | Week 2: What Are You Taking In? Caring for What Is Here | 05 Sep 2026 | 00:16:07
In this Week 2 reflection for Softening Inner Tension, Deb explores what it means to meet difficult emotions with care instead of fighting, suppressing, or immediately reacting to them. Drawing from the teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh, this talk looks at mindfulness as a way of gently recognizing what is present within us and also paying attention to what we are taking in through the day. What we watch, read, listen to, scroll through, and repeatedly expose ourselves to can all affect our inner state. This week’s invitation is to notice what may be nourishing frustration, fear, or overwhelm, and to begin making small, conscious choices that support greater steadiness, compassion, and emotional ease. This is the meditation I shared with the group during our free Tuesday Community Meditation. Carrying Peace Forward is a gentle practice for setting down some of what you’ve been carrying, reconnecting with a quiet place within, and bringing a little more mindful awareness into the rest of your week. Through body awareness, natural breathing, and simple reflection, you’re invited to pause without needing to fix anything or create a particular feeling. You may simply notice what is here, allow some of the day to settle, and reconnect with an inner anchor you can return to again and again. You don’t have to carry peace perfectly. Sometimes it is enough to remember: I can carry one quiet moment with me. Join me Tuesdays at 6:30 PM Central for our free Community Meditation. Everyone is welcome. | Gentle Evening Reset | 05 Aug 2026 | 00:13:28
This gentle evening meditation offers a quiet space to pause, settle, and reconnect with yourself after the activity of the day. You do not need to make the mind completely quiet or force the body to relax. Instead, you’ll be guided to notice the support beneath you, reconnect with the natural breath, soften into the body, and gently set down whatever you do not need to carry for these few moments. This practice can be used at the end of the day, after work, during a stressful evening, or anytime you need a simple reset. 🌿 In this meditation, you’ll explore: * Feeling supported by the surface beneath you * Acknowledging the day without reviewing every detail * Gently reconnecting with the body * Observing the natural breath * Allowing thoughts to come and go * Setting down what you can for now * Resting without needing to accomplish anything You are welcome to sit, recline, or lie down. Your eyes may be closed, softly lowered, or open. If focusing on the breath does not feel supportive, you may use sensations in the body, the surface beneath you, or sounds around you as your anchor. One Breath, One Step, One Pause is a gentle meditation from our free Tuesday night Community Meditation, created as part of July’s theme, Living with Ease. This practice invites you to bring mindfulness into the ordinary moments of daily life through one conscious breath, one mindful step, and one simple pause. Rather than waiting for the perfect setting or a long stretch of quiet, you’ll explore how awareness can return in small, accessible ways throughout the day. A supportive meditation for slowing down, reconnecting with the present moment, and remembering that ease does not always require a major change. | Trusting the Moment | 01 Jun 2026 | 00:09:12
This month we’re exploring a gentle but powerful question: What if we trusted the moment we’re in? In June’s monthly reflection, I share why trusting the moment isn’t about giving up or pretending everything is okay. Instead, it’s about learning to pause, listen inward, and reconnect with the wisdom that is already within us. We’ll explore how presence creates space for clarity, how Reiki and meditation can support deeper listening, and why I created this month’s signature aromatherapy blend, Trust the Moment, featuring Frankincense, Cedarwood, Bergamot, and Palmarosa. | Talk: Living What We Practice | 21 Apr 2026 | 00:04:46
Love isn’t something we practice only in stillness — it’s something we begin to live through our everyday moments. In Week 4 of our April theme, we explore what it means to bring awareness into daily life. Not by doing more, but by gently remembering to return… again and again… to the present moment. In this reflection, we explore:• How awareness can move beyond formal meditation into daily activities• Why it’s easy to forget the practice in the middle of busy or stressful moments• The gentle art of returning — without judgment• How small moments of presence begin to reshape how we live This week invites a quiet integration — from practicing awareness in stillness to living it in motion, conversation, and daily life. | Living Love, One Breath at a Time | 21 Apr 2026 | 00:07:58
As we move towards the end of April, the practice begins to shift. Meditation is no longer something we do only in stillness — it becomes something we live. In this 7-minute guided meditation, Living Love, One Breath at a Time, we explore how awareness can gently move with us into everyday moments. Through simple attention to the breath and body, we practice pausing, noticing, and returning — again and again. This meditation is not about doing it perfectly. It’s about remembering. Even one breath…even one moment of awareness…is enough. This meditation is especially supportive if: * you want to bring mindfulness into daily life * your days feel busy or full * you’re learning how to pause instead of react * you’re integrating what you’ve been practicing Awareness doesn’t require special conditions. | Allowing What Is Here | 14 Apr 2026 | 00:07:58
Love is often something we think we need to create. But in practice, we begin to discover something quieter. In this 7-minute guided meditation, Allowing What Is Here, we explore what it means to meet our experience with kindness — not just when things feel calm or pleasant, but also when the mind is busy, emotions are present, or the body feels unsettled. This is not about forcing a feeling of love. It’s about gently allowing what is here… without pushing it away. Through breath, body awareness, and simple reflection, we practice softening the habit of resistance and creating space for experience to unfold naturally. This meditation is especially supportive if: * you’re feeling overwhelmed or emotionally activated * you notice yourself resisting or trying to fix your experience * you want to cultivate self-compassion in a grounded way * you’re exploring love as presence rather than emotion Love, in this practice, is not something we add. It is something that reveals itself when we allow. ✨ April Theme: Love✨ Week 3: Love Without Conditions Join our free community for continued practice and support atpeacefulwellnessgroup.com Get full access to Meditate with Deb | Peaceful Wellness at debphelps.substack.com/subscribe

Love isn’t something we offer only when things feel calm — it’s something we begin to practice in the middle of what’s here. In Week 3 of our April theme, we explore what it means to allow all experience with kindness. Not by forcing acceptance, but by gently softening our resistance and learning to meet each moment as it is. In this reflection, we explore:• How love often becomes conditional without us realizing it• Why the nervous system moves toward resistance and protection• The practice of allowing rather than pushing away• How kindness can include even the difficult moments This week invites a quiet shift — from loving only what feels good to allowing all of our experience to be held in awareness. | Resting in Steadiness | 07 Apr 2026 | 00:07:58
Love is often thought of as something we feel — something that comes and goes. But in practice, we begin to discover something quieter. In this 7-minute guided meditation, Resting in Steadiness, we explore love as something supportive and reliable — not as intensity or emotion, but as a steady ground beneath us. This meditation is especially supportive if: * you feel overwhelmed or unsettled * your nervous system feels reactive or braced * you’re looking for a sense of inner grounding * you want to experience love as something steady rather than fleeting Love, in this practice, is not something we chase. As we begin April on the PEACEFUL Path, we explore the theme of Love — not as something we need to create, but something we gently open to. In this 7-minute guided meditation, Softening Into What’s Here, we practice allowing the body, breath, and experience to be just as they are. Rather than trying to feel a certain way, we begin to notice what happens when we stop pushing, fixing, or resisting. | Returning to This Moment | 24 Mar 2026 | 00:07:58
Meditation doesn’t stay on the cushion — it moves with us into daily life. In this 7-minute guided meditation, we explore what it means to live unity — not as an idea, but as a simple practice of returning, again and again, to the present moment. Throughout March, we’ve explored steadiness, connection, and interdependence. This final week brings those elements together through a gentle, practical approach: noticing when we feel scattered or separate, and softly coming back to the body, the breath, and awareness. This meditation is especially supportive if: * you feel pulled in many directions during the day * you want a simple way to reconnect in real time * you’re integrating mindfulness into daily life * you’re looking for steadiness without pressure Unity is not something we hold onto. | Part of the Living World | 17 Mar 2026 | 00:07:58
This week on The PEACEFUL Path, we gently expand our awareness beyond the individual self and explore what many contemplative traditions call interconnection. In this 7-minute guided meditation, we begin by settling into the body and breath, then slowly widen awareness to include the environment around us — the sounds, the air we share, and the natural rhythms that support life. As mindfulness deepens, we often discover something profound: we are not separate from life. Our breath connects us to the air all beings share. Our bodies are sustained by sunlight, soil, water, and countless unseen processes. Even our thoughts and emotions arise within a web of relationships and conditions. This meditation offers a simple way to experience that connection directly — not as an idea, but as a felt sense of belonging within the living world. Through gentle awareness of breath, body, and environment, we allow the nervous system to soften and remember that we are participants in a larger unfolding of life. This practice may be especially supportive if: * you’ve been feeling disconnected or isolated * the world feels divided or overwhelming * you want to reconnect with the natural world * you’re exploring mindfulness, Vipassana, or contemplative awareness practices Unity is not something we have to create. It is something we begin to recognize. ✨ March Theme: Unity✨ Week 3 Focus: Unity with the Larger Whole For more practices, reflections, and community support, join our free Skool community atpeacefulwellnessgroup.com Website: peacefulwellness.org Get full access to Meditate with Deb | Peaceful Wellness at debphelps.substack.com/subscribe

Meditation can feel like an inward practice, yet what we begin to discover is that our inner experience is never separate from the larger whole of life. In Week 3 of our March theme, we gently expand our awareness beyond personal experience and into a deeper recognition of connection — with the natural world, with others, and with life itself. As mindfulness deepens, we begin to sense that what we experience is part of a much wider unfolding. In this reflection, we explore:• The nature of interdependence and connection• How the sense of separation is created and softened• Reconnecting with the rhythms of the natural world• Recognizing a shared humanity beneath differences May this reflection support you in remembering that you are not separate from life, but part of its ongoing unfolding — held within something vast, steady, and shared. | Breathing in the Same World | 09 Mar 2026 | 00:07:58
This week we explore Unity in Relationship — the understanding that mindfulness doesn’t end when we open our eyes. Life is lived in relationship with others. In this 7-minute guided meditation, you’ll begin by grounding in your own breath and body, then gently widen awareness to include the shared human experience around you. We breathe in the same world. We experience joy, difficulty, hope, and uncertainty. And remembering this shared humanity can soften the sense of separation. As we begin March on the PEACEFUL Path, we enter the theme of Unity — not as an abstract idea, but as a lived, internal experience. In uncertain times, it’s easy to feel fragmented — pulled in different directions by news, responsibilities, emotions, and expectations. This week’s reflection invites us to begin somewhere steady: within ourselves. Unity does not mean sameness.Steadiness does not mean rigidity.Connection does not require losing yourself. It is inner coherence. It is nervous-system steadiness. It is returning to center, again and again. In this talk, we explore:• What Unity truly means in daily life• How steadiness begins in the body and breath• Why inner coherence supports outer connection• Practicing presence without bracing against uncertainty May this reflection support you in gathering yourself gently — strengthening calm, clarity, and compassionate awareness from the inside out. | Watching the Mind with Kindness | 23 Feb 2026 | 00:07:58
In this 7-minute guided meditation, we turn gently toward the mind itself. As February’s theme of Mindful Flow deepens, this week’s practice explores how to notice thoughts without immediately believing them. Rather than trying to silence the mind or control it, we learn to observe thoughts as mental events — arising, shifting, and passing. This meditation supports the development of steady presence in the midst of commentary, prediction, and inner storytelling. With kindness and clarity, we practice staying close to what is actually happening — not what the mind insists must happen next. Especially supportive if: * your thoughts feel repetitive or overwhelming * you’re caught in worry or mental argument * you want to cultivate equanimity without shutting down * you’re deepening insight (Vipassana) practice You don’t have to believe everything you think. You can care deeply — and remain steady. ✨ February Theme: Mindful Flow✨ Week 4: Awareness of Thought & Equanimity For continued weekly reflections and guided practices, join our free community at peacefulwellnessgroup.com. | Talk: Steady Presence in the Midst of the Mind | 23 Feb 2026 | 00:04:26
As we move into the final week of February’s Mindful Flow, we turn our attention toward one of the most powerful aspects of practice: learning to relate differently to our thoughts. In times of uncertainty, the mind can become loud — replaying stories, predicting outcomes, and amplifying fear. This week’s reflection explores how mindfulness and Vipassana help us notice thoughts without immediately believing or engaging them. Equanimity is not indifference.Loving-kindness is not sentimentality.Mindfulness is not self-improvement. It is steady presence. It is wise response. It is remembering that awareness is already here. In this talk, we explore:• How to notice thoughts without being carried by them• The relationship between mindfulness and equanimity• Staying grounded in awareness during difficult times• Why steady presence is a radical act in today’s world May this reflection support you in meeting your own mind with clarity, kindness, and steadiness. | Talk: Equanimity: The Steady Heart | 16 Feb 2026 | 00:05:03
In this Week 3 reflection, we explore equanimity — the steady, balanced quality of heart that allows us to remain present without becoming overwhelmed. After practicing mindfulness, insight, loving-kindness, and compassion in the first two weeks of February’s Mindful Flow journey, we now turn toward balance. Equanimity does not mean indifference or withdrawal. It means learning how to care deeply while also recognizing what is not ours to control. In times of uncertainty, it is easy to become reactive, exhausted, or hardened. This talk reflects on how equanimity supports wise response, emotional steadiness, and compassionate engagement without burnout. This meditation is especially supportive if: * you notice yourself gripping what’s pleasant or resisting discomfort * your mind feels busy, reactive, or fatigued * you’re learning insight meditation and want a gentle, embodied entry * you’re exploring how mindfulness becomes flow through allowing change Mindful flow doesn’t mean life becomes smooth or easy.It means meeting each moment with steady, awake presence — without getting lost. | Talk: Seeing Clearly | 10 Feb 2026 | 00:06:49
In this Week 2 talk, we deepen our February theme of Mindful Flow by turning toward Vipassana (insight) practice — learning how to see experience clearly without grasping or pushing away what arises. This reflection explores how awareness helps us notice change in the body, breath, thoughts, and emotions, and how much of our stress comes from trying to hold onto what’s pleasant or resist what’s uncomfortable. Rather than fixing or analyzing our experience, Vipassana invites us to meet each moment with curiosity, steadiness, and care. This talk is especially supportive during times of uncertainty or emotional strain, offering a grounded reminder that we can stay present without being overwhelmed — allowing experience to move and change naturally. | Talk: Settling into Awareness | 03 Feb 2026 | 00:06:23
In this Week 1 talk for February’s Mindful Flow theme, we explore what it means to settle into awareness during times of uncertainty and collective strain. This reflection introduces the foundations of mindfulness and Vipassana (insight meditation) — not as practices of self-improvement or escape, but as ways of meeting life honestly and gently, just as it is. Rather than striving for calm or clarity, this talk invites you to: * allow the body and mind to arrive where they already are * meet your experience with steadiness and care * practice awareness without judgment or pressure This teaching is part of the February journey along the PEACEFUL Path, where the focus is on Flow — not as effort or ease, but as the natural movement of awareness when we stop resisting our experience.
