Hey there everyone, and welcome back to a very nostalgic episode of Paul or Nothing! Today we are most fortunately joined by seminal Paul McCartney author and authority, Luca Perasi. Luca's book, "The Paul McCartney Recording Sessions: 1970-2016" helped establish the tone of this podcast, and helped shape my formative opinions of McCartney. Luca was my very first guest, and perhaps my first returning guest on this show, and we used this opportunity to catch up on everything that has happened since we last spoke, including Egypt Station, McCartney III and perhaps even something new just over the horizon... I hope you enjoy this loosey-goosey chin wag. Peace and love. Hare Hare Krishna!

Hello everyone, and welcome to another special, exclusive episode of Paul or Nothing!!! On December 25th (aka Christmas Day), Paul McCartney released his 2018 concert film, "Paul McCartney Live...at the Cavern Club (2020)" after almost two years sat on the shelf. Today, we have the pleasure of speaking with Paul Dugdale, the director of this concert film. In this episode we discuss some of Mr. Dugdale's other films (including "The Rolling Stones: Ole Ole Ole", and Taylor Swift's "Reputation"), before then moving onto the concert film itself. We cover the shoot, meeting Paul, the difficulties of filming in the Cavern, the editing process, why the film has come out now, and most importantly of all...the notorious incident involving Macca and camera phones. Once again, many thanks for Paul Dugdale for taking the time to come on this silly little podcast. | 'Find My Way' & 'Winter Bird/When Winter Comes' Hot Takes: Paul or Nothing Bonus Episode #54. | 11 Dec 2020 | 00:21:46
Hey everyone, and welcome to a rather spontaneous episode of Paul or Nothing. Back in 2018, when Egypt Station was about to be released, me and my best friend Tom (@Metallicapod) gave out hot takes on "Come On To Me" and "I Don't Know". So here at the end of 2020, now that McCartney III is on the way we have reunited again to give the same treatment to "Find My Way" & "Winter Bird/When Winter Comes". Don't worry, we're a little nice this time around! What clues will these songs give us about the upcoming album? What do we think of the music? And are we even allowed to be talking about these songs? All this, and more, can be found inside... Peace & love. | ”Now And Then” - History & Review: Paul or Nothing Bonus Episode #125. | 10 Nov 2023 | 02:36:39
Right, we've had a week to process all of this...What do I mean? You know what I mean. Yes everyone, we are here today to give the full rundown on The Beatles latest (and "last" ever) song to be released, "Now And Then". In addition to a full review of the song, we also go through the full backstory leading up to the release "Now And Then" including clips of all of the "Lennon Tapes" that were gifted to the Beatles in 1994, as well as a quick analysis of the motivations behind its 2023 release. As always, this one took far longer to produce than I initially intended, but I am glad it worked out this way as my "hot-take" was wildly different than my views in this final episode. Please enjoy. Welcome Paul Bearers to another film review edition of the "Paul or Nothing" podcast. This time we will be discussing both documentary films that focus on The Beatles Let It Be sessions. My guest today is renowned Nashville musician and general badass, Mr. Dylan Sevey. I have a couple of lengthy interviews coming up, and I've decided to be pragmatic and split the episodes up into two parts. I'm gonna do this regular upload thing if it kills me! Please enjoy. Thank you once again for joining us during the apocalypse, and I hope you are all in the best of health!!! As before, we're gonna keep it simple, as we inspect another motley crew of Paul McCartney covers. This means covers of songs written by Paul, not the other way around! | "Paul McCartney Pop Quiz": Paul or Nothing Bonus Episode #43. | 22 May 2020 | 00:26:10
Hey everyone, this episode was recorded during a period where I have been (mostly) without a computer to work on. Thankfully, good friend of the show, Mr. Tom Kwei arrived with a mac, a mic, and big book of Beatles-based trivia questions. Nothing too complex, just a little tidbit to tide you over till "McCartney Covers 2" and both parts of Flowers in the Dirt are completed. This was completely impromptu, so please forgive my scores... Make sure you play along at home, and drop me a message to either paulmccartneypod@gmail.com or @mccartneypod to let me know how you did! Please enjoy. Hare Krishna. Peace and love.

Welcome everyone to another bonus episode of "Paul or Nothing", the place to get all of your Paul all of the time. Thank you for joining us yet again, and I hope you are all in the best of health!!! We're gonna keep it simple today, as we take a look at a semi-random mix of Paul McCartney covers. That being covers of songs written by Paul, not the other way around! Of course, with Paul's Beatles compositions being widely lauded as some of the most widely covered tunes of all time, I thought it was only fair to highlight a broad range of songs, covered by a broad range of artists, in a broad range of styles. I could put all of these things on a "broad-street", but no... I'll give you the songs, but not the artist. This episode includes covers of...

| A Conversation with "Friend of the show" Andy: Paul or Nothing Bonus Episode #41. | 13 Apr 2020 | 01:43:42 | |
Hello everyone, and welcome to what is (I guess) another instalment of "A Conversation with...". Is it a regular bonus episode? Is it its own side series? Who knows? If you remember our last bonus episode on "Hey Grandude", then you will recall the bonus audio from a man who, for legal reasons, I can only refer to as "Friend of the show" Andy, or just Andy. For those who may not have heard that audio, firstly go back and check it out, as it will help further contextualise the world of our conversation, but the cliff notes version is that Andy was a super fan of McCartney in the 80's. A typical second generation scruff, he followed Macca's every move and gathered quite a few stories, trinkets and opinions. After I heard his audio I knew I would have to have him on to talk about EVERYTHING, and here is the conversation we had which includes...
Andy was a gentlemen, and a pleasure to speak with. Please check out his YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/user/FanOfWings Please enjoy. Hare Krishna. Peace and love.

Buongiorno, and welcome to a very special episode of Paul or Nothing. In a break from the regular format, where we have someone who actually has something to do with the McCartney or The Beatles, but today I am going to abuse to format and my abilit yto book guests as I interview one of my own personal podcasting heroes, Vik Singh. Vik hosts "Podabing", which is the definitive companion podcast to HBO's "The Sopranos". "Podabing" features both meticulous episode-by-episode deep dives as well as incredibly inightful and informative interviews with the cast and crew of the show. Links down below... We do touch on some Beatle-based stuff, but I hope you stick around just to enjoy the chat. Please enjoy. Hare Krishna. Peace and love.

| ‘Press to Play’ with Ken Michaels - Paul Or Nothing Episode #16, Part 2/2. | 17 Feb 2020 | 02:17:00 | |
Hello there everyone, and welcome back to another episode of Paul or Nothing! If you haven't already guessed from the title, this will be the second instalment of our analysis of Paul McCartney's 1986 album Press to Play. As per usual, this second part will focus (mostly) on the songs featured on the album as we go through them one by one. This is an interview I have had in the can for a while now, and I am really excited that I can finally share it with you all. As always Ken was a delight to have on the show, and his ability to tirelessly talk McCartney and Beatles with me is a privilege I hold very dear. Please enjoy. Peace and love. Hare Krishna.
Check out Ken's radio show, "Every Little Thing", as well as all manner of exclusive interviews with the likes of Mark Lewisohn, Denny Laine, and basically every other guest too big to come on this podcast!
