The haunting known as the Bell Witch can be traced back to the early 17th century. The Bell Witch story is widely recognized as one of the most famous hauntings in American history. Initially living peacefully on their 320-acre farm along the Red River, the Bell family's tranquillity was disrupted in 1817 by strange events, including unsettling noises, chains dragging through the house and gulping and choking sounds.

Who or what was the bell witch?

Then we'll travel to West Virginia and the legendary Wizard Clip hauntings of 1794, the Wizard Clip haunting is one of the more intriguing paranormal cases in early American history, it involved mysterious supernatural events and the eventual founding of a Catholic parish.
