148 | After the Move: Organizing What Belongs in This New Season14 Jan 202600:16:56

Moving into a new home is more than a physical transition — it’s a spiritual and practical one too!

In this episode, we’re talking about what happens after the move. Not preparing a home for sale. Not decluttering months ahead of time. But the moment when everything you owned made the journey, and you’re standing in a new space asking: What actually belongs here now?

We begin with Scripture as a reminder that our identity is not found in the things we own — or even in the home we’ve been blessed with — but in Christ. From there, we walk through clear, practical steps to help you organize your new home in a way that reflects your current season of life.

This episode will help you slow down, set intention, and organize with clarity rather than overwhelm. Praying over this new chapter for you!

147 | Why Organizing Feels Different in the Empty Nest — and What Actually Helps.07 Jan 202600:33:30

The empty nest season often brings more than quiet — it brings questions.

Why does organizing suddenly feel heavier? Why do old systems stop working? And why do thoughts like “I should be further along” show up so loudly now?

In this episode, Kristina sits down with professional organizer Tracy Hoth of Simply Squared Away to explore how our internal dialogue — what Tracy calls “soundtracks” — directly influences our ability to declutter and stay organized.

Rather than offering quick fixes or rigid systems, Tracy shares how long-held identity statements can quietly sabotage progress, and why this season of life is an invitation to adopt new ways of thinking. You’ll hear real client examples, practical mindset reframes, and encouragement for anyone who feels stuck, behind, or overwhelmed by what’s been left behind after the kids leave home.

This conversation also weaves in faith, and grace — reframing organizing as a practice we walk through with God, not a standard we have to live up to.

If you’re navigating the empty nest and wondering what comes next for your home — and your heart — this episode will meet you right where you are. Praying over your New Year! 131 | Why Saying ‘I Don’t Have Time’ Is Stealing Your Peace (and What to Do Instead)10 Sep 202500:14:42

Do you ever catch yourself saying “I just don’t have time”? For prayer, family, rest, or even decluttering?! I’ve been there too. In this episode, I want to encourage you with truth and hope: it’s not about having more hours—it’s about where our priorities are placed.

The encouragement I am hoping to spread today:

  • Why “no time” is really a myth (and how I used to live stuck in it)

  • The difference between chasing the world’s success and living God’s way

  • How cluttered schedules (and cluttered homes!) keep us distracted and drained

  • God’s order of priorities—and why peace follows when we realign with Him

  • Encouragement to start small: one prayer, one family dinner, one “yes” to God

  • The reminder that God multiplies the little you bring, turning it into enough

This isn’t about doing more or overhauling your whole life—it’s about letting go of overwhelm and remembering you do have time for what matters most.

128 | Summer Recap: Work-Life Balance, Letting Go, and Lessons From a Small Home20 Aug 202500:29:27

This summer stretched me in all kinds of ways. Living in our little bungalow meant learning to make the most of small spaces. A full calendar reminded me how quickly “busy” can creep in if I’m not intentional. And yes, there were nights I went to bed with dishes still in the sink—and I had to remind myself that’s okay.

In this episode, I’m recapping the real-life lessons I learned about organizing, balance, and faith during these past few months. We’ll talk about:

  • What small-home living taught me about clutter and contentment

  • Why chasing a perfectly clean house only leads to burnout

  • How I navigated an overwhelming schedule while making time for church and community

  • The peace that comes from leaning on God’s Word in the middle of busyness

  • What I’m carrying forward as we head into a new season

You’ll also hear me reflect back on a couple of past episodes that shaped this season for me:

  • Episode 118: Busy or Aligned? A Summer Reprioritization + Listener Q&A — a reminder that alignment matters more than just doing more

  • Episode 67: 4 Ideas If You Want More Peace and Time Freedom This Summer as a Christian Business Owner — practical shifts that gave me space to breathe

I don’t have it all figured out, and I certainly didn’t glide through summer with a spotless house or a perfectly balanced calendar. But I did learn a few things worth sharing—about grace, about intentional rhythms, and about finding joy in the middle of real life. Sending a little love your way, Kristina

127 | Does It Feel Impossible to Stay Organized? 3 Core Principles That Make It Last13 Aug 202500:29:36

Hey sister, If it feels like no matter how many times you clean, sort, and set up a system, it doesn’t stick—you’re not imagining things. Many of us get stuck in a frustrating cycle: working ourselves to burnout, feeling unproductive, then jumping right back into overdrive just to keep the house afloat.

In this episode, I’m breaking down 3 core principles that make home organization last—without you being the only one holding it all together. We’ll talk about:

  • How to give the systems you set up enough time to actually work

  • The role of consistency and how to build it without perfectionism

  • Why simplification is your best friend when life gets busy

  • How to extend grace—for yourself and your family—when things slip

  • Ways to delegate and share the responsibility so it’s not all on you

Whether you’re trying to break the overwhelm cycle or finally get your family on board, these principles will help you create a home that runs more smoothly—and stays that way. 🔔Subscribe To The Newsletter: https://kristina-borseti-llc.kit.com/ac428baac7

125 | Surrender the Stress of the Mess. Step Into God’s Purpose For Your Life.30 Jul 202500:23:57

Hey sister,

This is Part 2 of our devotional series—and we’re diving deeper into what it really means to pray for change. Not just surface-level fixes, but heart-level transformation.

Because sometimes, it’s not just the mess in your house—it’s the clutter in your spirit, your mind, your schedule—that’s keeping you from hearing God clearly (and getting our work done).

In this episode, I share how a single word—obedience—sent me on a journey through Scripture, from the psalms of David to the boldness of Esther to the radical transformation of Paul. What I discovered? True obedience isn’t possible without surrender—and surrender doesn’t come without sacrifice.

We’ll talk about:

  • Why your prayers might feel unanswered

  • How fear—especially fear of losing control—can block our ability to obey

  • Why Esther’s story still speaks to every woman with doubts about the future

  • How to adopt a God-perspective instead of a worldly one—and how that can bring more wisdom and peace

  • And how emotional, spiritual, and even physical clutter may be keeping you stuck

If you’ve been asking God to change something—but feel like you’re circling the same mountain—this episode is for you.

Key Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 12:13 Philippians 4:11–13, 19 Acts 9:1–22 Esther 4:14 Romans 12:1–2 Matthew 6:33–34 Isaiah 1:16–19 Jeremiah 29:11

🎧 Listen in and ask yourself: What am I really praying for? And am I ready to walk in what God reveals—once I let go of the clutter that’s been holding me back?

With grace and love, Kristina

124 | When You’re Praying For Change But Still Feel Spiritually Stuck23 Jul 202500:15:39

Hi friends, What is the one thing you strongly desire God to change in your life?

That question stopped me in my tracks. I’ve prayed for God to move in a lot of areas—but this time, I couldn’t ignore the deeper layers. I started searching Scripture, especially around obedience, surrender, and sacrifice… and what I found brought conviction and clarity.

This episode is for the woman who’s been praying for change—asking God to fix something, to lift a burden, or to bring breakthrough. But what if the change you’re praying for isn’t the change God is after?

What if we’ve been praying about the symptom, and God wants to get to the root?

In Part 1 of this two-part conversation, I share what I learned through Scripture about spiritual clutter—things like pride, fear, control, performance, and the pressure to be someone we were never called to be.

And it all leads to one honest, life-shifting question: Have you truly had a real encounter with Christ?

If your life feels cluttered—your space, your schedule, your soul—I hope this conversation helps you pause, reflect, and get honest with God about what you’re really longing for.

Scriptures (KJV 1611): Ecclesiastes 12, Mark 8:34, Philippians 4:11–13, 19, Deuteronomy 6:5, Acts 9:1–22

🎧 In Part 2, I uncover the big hold up that was keeping me from full obedience—and how God’s Word reminded me of who (you are) I am, and how (we are) I’m called to live.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about what to do with the most personal items—the ones that feel like a part of you. Whether you’re storing them in bins, scattered in drawers, or tucked in the back of a closet, it’s time to take a grace-filled look at what to reuse, repurpose, or release.

122 | 5 Tips to Build Home Organizing Routines Your Family Will Actually Follow09 Jul 202500:19:30

Happy Wednesday! Ever feel like you’re the CEO of the family calendar, the keeper of the drop zone, and the one holding all the routines together—yet no one else seems to follow the systems you set up?

Yep—been there.

This entire episode was sparked by a simple but oh-so-relatable question from a client and listener: “How do I get my kids and husband to use the organizing system instead of dumping everything on the floor?”

If you’ve ever wondered the same, you are not alone—and this episode is for you.

Today, I’m sharing 5 practical tips to help you build organizing routines that actually stick—and how to get your family on board without repeating yourself 20 times. You’ll hear how I answered her question, and how you can apply the same strategies to your own high-traffic, high-frustration areas.

We’ll cover:

✔️ The difference between cluttered vs. messy (and why it matters) ✔️ How to do “market research” with your own family to fix broken systems ✔️ Simple strategies to create and maintain routines with buy-in from everyone ✔️ How to adapt your systems as seasons change—without burning out ✔️ A biblical mindset shift when frustration creeps in

You’ll walk away with a fresh perspective—and an action plan—to bring order to your home with your family, not in spite of them.

✨ Scripture encouragement: 2 Corinthians 4:18 — "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen..."

145 | When Good Things Become Too Much: 3 Questions for Faithful Discernment17 Dec 202500:19:17

When good things become too much, it’s often not because we’re doing the wrong things — but because we’re doing too many of the right ones.

In this re-aired episode of the Organized On Purpose Podcast, we’re talking about the quiet burnout that happens when we say yes out of guilt, obligation, or fear of disappointing others, rather than out of discernment.

Many women who love to serve find themselves with schedules filled with meaningful commitments — meetings, projects, ministries, and responsibilities that once felt like blessings. Over time, those good things can begin to drain us and crowd out the rest, margin, and clarity we need to thrive in this season.

In this episode, I gently walk you through three questions for faithful discernment to help you pause before your next yes and ask:

  • Is this life-giving or depleting?

  • Am I responding out of guilt or obedience?

  • Does this align with what God is asking of me right now?

We talk about:

  • The hidden cost of always saying yes

  • Why guilt is not a healthy guide

  • The difference between serving faithfully and overgiving

  • How to say no without shame

  • Creating rhythms that support what God is calling you to in this season

This episode is for women who want to live faithfully, serve generously, and still have space to breathe — without burning out.

119 | Stop the Doom Pile Spiral: Declutter What You've Been Avoiding (Closets Included)18 Jun 202500:27:34

Hey friend,

Let’s be honest—we all have that one pile (or several). The laundry basket full of random things. The kitchen counter that’s never clear. The closet we hope no one opens.

These doom piles—short for “Didn’t Organize, Only Moved”—may seem harmless, but they slowly drain our energy, clutter our focus, and keep us in a cycle of stress and procrastination.

In this episode, I’m walking you through six realistic, grace-filled steps to help you stop stuffing things away and start creating breathing room in your home and mind. Whether you're in a season of overwhelm or just tired of shifting the same clutter around, this conversation will help you pause, reset, and move forward with intention.

We’ll cover:

  • Why clutter isn’t just about stuff—it’s about decisions we’re avoiding

  • How to spot the deeper reasons behind your “just put it here for now” moments

  • The hope and wisdom to navigate seasons of overwhelm God has already provided you in His word.

  • Practical steps to help you start small, stay consistent, and invite calm back into your home

Scriptures that inspired this episode(KJV): 🕊️ 1 Corinthians 14:33 – “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…” 🏡 Isaiah 32:18 – “And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.” 💛 2 Corinthians 1:4 – “Who comforteth us in all our tribulation…” 📖 Psalm 119:50 – “This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.”

Aim at progress—not perfection. You don’t have to organize your whole house today. Just start with one pile and one step of faith.

Call to Action: 🎧 Listen in now, then choose one small area to tackle—no pressure, just progress. 📸 Want extra encouragement? Share your before & after in the Facebook community—you might just inspire someone else to do the same.

118 | Busy or Aligned? A Summer Reprioritization + A Listener's Home Management Q&A11 Jun 202500:29:06

Hey friend, Does your Summer calendar feel a little too packed already? Maybe with things that don’t actually reflect your values or priorities?

In this episode, I’m sharing a personal story of how God used an unexpected shift in our Summer plans to get my attention—and help me take a closer look at how I was spending my time. It led me into a season of reprioritization, which simply means reordering what matters most. It’s about pausing to ask: Is how I’m spending my time actually aligned with what I believe and value?

If you’re feeling the Summer rush, this is your invitation to slow down, breathe, and create space for what truly matters—God, family, and a bit of rest.

I’m also answering a listener question about home management routines, sharing practical coaching tips to help you build simple systems that actually support your life (not stress you out).

You’ll walk away with:

  • A mindset shift around calendar clutter and summer busyness

  • Encouragement to realign your priorities before the season slips away

144 | Decluttering When Your Brain Says “No”: How Decision Fatigue, Novelty, and Micro-Wins Change Everything10 Dec 202500:22:17

This episode dives deep into why so many women feel overwhelmed at home — not because they’re unmotivated or “bad at organizing,” but because the brain responds to clutter, decisions, novelty, transitions, and loneliness in predictable ways. I am answering four listener questions, weaving in practical organizing strategies and specific scientific concepts discussed in the episode, including:

  • Decision fatigue and temporary disorganization bias — why dumping grounds appear during remodels and life transitions

  • The novelty effect, executive function fatigue, and habit friction — why systems stop working even when you set them up well

  • The Zeigarnik effect and task-switching overload — how unfinished tasks drain mental energy and fuel the “I can’t follow through” spiral

  • Micro-wins and dopamine — why breaking projects into 5-15 minute tasks changes everything

  • Freeze responses, low internal reward cues, cognitive overload, and living alone — why some women feel powerless to begin

You’ll also hear faith-rooted encouragement on stewardship, caring for your home as part of wellbeing, and showing up for yourself the same way you show up for others. Whether your home is “not that bad” or completely overwhelming, this episode gives you the scientific understanding — and the small, doable steps — that help you finally move forward.

97 | Let It Go, Keep the Memory; Tips For Decluttering Sentimental Items.14 Jan 202500:28:05

Hey friends!  So you want to declutter your home. And one of the top categories of items hogging up space in your home are sentimental items. Items like...your kids baby clothes, family heirlooms, a collection of music tapes from your adolescence, clothes from 10 years ago...(Insert the item here). Perhaps you are decluttering a loved ones home and coming across handfuls of similar types of items. You've tried to declutter these items before. But emotions gave way and you found a reason to hold on to them "just a little bit longer". Clearly all these items are deeply tied to a person or a memory you aren't willing to part with. Running in parallel I am here to honor the memory and provide perspective to help you let the stuff go.  I pray that when you leave todays episode you feel more confident to take the steps, to finally bless and release items that are in the past or that no longer serve you in this season of life.
