The Fox and the Hound (1981) — A return to childhood trauma!
Season 1 · Episode 3
lundi 15 mars 2021 • Duration 29:22
In the 1970s, Disney was expanding by hiring new animators like Tim Burton and John Lasseter and also alienating Don Bluth and a third of its junior animators. Nonetheless, it managed to make a beautiful film about how true friendship can survive anything but adversity.

The Jungle Book (1967) — The final Walt Disney production
Season 1 · Episode 25
lundi 18 janvier 2021 • Duration 28:06
On the heels of the abysmal failure of the Sword in the Stone, Walt Disney Productions decided to recreate the work of a culturally-appropriating Imperialist in the Jungle Book. The production of this family favourite was then interrupted by Walt Disney's death.
The movie itself is true to its roots with messages of racism, segregation, and misogyny. What happy memories!

The Sword in the Stone (1963) — Arthur, you had one job!
Season 1 · Episode 24
lundi 11 janvier 2021 • Duration 26:27
Back from my December hiatus, I dive headlong into the end of the Silver Era of Disney with the Sword in the Stone. The film follows a non-legendary version of young King Arthur as he's sexually assaulted by squirrels, determines that evil is a mental illness, and repeatedly dodges physical abuse from his adopted father.
