2024 see's the 40th anniversary of the release of the Purple Rain album by Prince, and this was recorded earlier in the year and finally mixed down for release. Paddy, with special PPUK Podcast members Chopin and Andy along with the creater of the 500 Prince songs website, Tora, go ultra geeky on this one. Not as amenable to the casual listener as some!

The origional long play HALO, Pretty Hate Machine demonstrated the start of a journey for a unique individual and by extension band that would weave itself to various places, some quite dark over the years. This album however whilst being filled with the strong emotions of a young studio musician shows some serious song writing chops!
