Welcome to the On the Mezzanine Podcast with Milly Murray! 

I will be exploring the lives of creatives across London from industries such as music, DJing, food and drink, drag, performing arts and much more all filmed live in the Mezzanine bar in Tooting Market.

In the very first episode I interview Jacob Highett who tells how after running club and a few pints in the Mezzanine he was inspired to start Grounded, a liquid drum and bass and dubstep party brand that has had a year and a half of successful events since, building a passionate community in Tooting.  

We’ll be getting into how you book headliners, promotion tactics, working events around your 9-5 and can you really switch genres without losing your audience? Over a pint, we’ll be sharing the trials and tribulations of trecking across London for music, which is why Jacob creating an alternative right on his doorstep. Jacob shares his hot takes on the music industry, Tik Tok musicians, and how acceptable is to film your entire club night.
