Anxiety is one of the most common Mental Health conditions experienced in Australia and America today!

According to the APS (Australian Psychological Society) anxiety is referred to as ‘feelings of worry, nervousness or a sense of apprehension’. We all experience anxiety at some point in our lives and it is a perfectly normal reaction to have to a stressful or nerve-racking event. Anxiety becomes an issue for many when it essentially begins to take over your life. The feelings become excessive, severe and overwhelming.

Anxiety is often accompanied with symptoms such as:
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Racing Heart
  • Sweaty Palms
  • Difficulty Concentrating
  • Dry mouth
  • Nauseas
  • Hot and Cold Flushes
  • Tightness in your Chest
  • Excessive/Obsessive Thinking
  • Avoidance of People or Places
  • Negative Thoughts

And the list goes on….

If you feel you need support with your anxiety through your pregnancy we both supply support to women to help ease your thoughts and feelings that you may be having that are creating these physical sensations.

Holly is a mum of four boys, including a set of twins. She birthed her twins one of whom was breech and delivered vaginally through induction of labour where most mums in Australia are advised and pushed into a caesarean birth, she did this by advocating for herself and what she wanted for my birth experience.

She is also a survivor of hyperemesis gravidarum from that same twin pregnancy. Holly has experienced multiple types of births, pregnancy loss and more and since then she has trained as a life coach in NLP and Hypnosis and channelled her experiences into helping women navigate the trials and complications of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum life

EP 94: The transition phase of labour where we reach our breaking point31 Jul 202400:26:09

"There is a phase in labour, appropriately called transition, where a woman will meet her breaking point. She'll feel as though she just can't go on, and she is right. The maiden in her is not strong enough for the task at hand. It's during this time the maiden dies so that the woman can be reborn as a mother, with her child. A new, more capable version of herself with far more strength than she has ever known. From maiden to mother. When we birth we birth twice. Once for us and once for our child." - unknown

EP: 78 A Prepared Mind, Prepared Body - Meet Monique 04 Aug 202301:09:27

This episode we interview new mama Monique. Monique is mama to beautiful baby boy who is 4 months old.

Through chatting with Monique we talk about her experience about early miscarriage and we too share our own experiences off loss and how different each experience is.

Monique shared that from the loss of her first baby which happened the week she was due to get married it then lead her to feel quite anxious about her second pregnancy and the potential to loose this baby so she felt that she wasn’t able to enjoy the pregnancy as much as what she wanted.

Monique shares how she gathered her ‘Positive Birth’ team and felt so supported by them all in the lead up to and also during her birth where they were with her every step of the way.

Through Hypnobirthing she was able to create a beautiful practice routine where she visualised her perfect birth and really prepared her mind and body through birth with the support of her team.

Her birth story had us on the edge of our seats because at one stage we through this story was leading to having her baby in the car…

We won’t spoil it for you though and highly recommend you listen to this AMAZING birth story.

We also shared that our next pregnancy retreat on the Gold Coast is coming up soon on Saturday the 2nd of September in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland.

Tickets are only $147 plus GST and we highly recommend that you book in advance as our last retreat did sell out.
