Welcome to Not in the Brief

A podcast hosted by two different creative professionals who work with different mediums.

We are Jesse and Micah and we each run creative businesses in Edmonton Alberta. Jesse runs Old Saw Studio, a boutique video production company. Micah runs Reely Studio, a subscriptions-based design service.

Both Micah and I believe that all good creative starts with good ideas first. Thinking through challenges, leaning into storytelling and doing things differently if necessary. This podcast is dedicated to learning about people’s businesses, how they use creative, how they might come up with better ideas, tell better stories and create unique content in order to stand out. 

Just a note. Mid way through we stop the show for a special segment we call the shot list. This is a 5 minute segment where we ask our guest 5 uncomfortable questions. Designed to put them in the hot seat and see the real side of entrepreneurship and the human experience. So stay tuned for that.
