From performing as a drummer with many celebrated bands in our region such as Black Spruce Bog, Folky Strum Strum, Saltwater Hank, & Dead Sexy just to name a few, to bringing artists and live music to our community as a sound person and presenter for his company Madloon Entertainment, to providing a space for artists in our community to flourish on stage by hosting the open mic at Nancy Os, to starting his own musical project as an accordion fronted band known as Danny Bell and his disappointments, Danny Bell, our featured artist, has been a staple in our local & regional music scene for over a decade. Lorissa Scriven’s distinctive brand of earthy folk has its roots deep in the river valleys of northern British Columbia, where she grew steeped in music and wild places. Among the spruce and aspen of her hometown, Taylor BC, this Saulteau Nations woman found songs spontaneously happening inside her as naturally as a river flowing.
