Podcast #419: What's Changed This Year?21 Oct 202400:14:01

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!

Welcome back to another episode of the No More Excuses podcast.

This is the podcast that gets you fired up and ready to take charge of your business, your confidence, and your success! I’m Sandi, the BADASS Business Coach™, your host!

We’re at the end of October, yes still the 4th quarter, but we’re deep into the month and before you know it, the holidays will be up our asses! Your business may thrive on the holidays or maybe it’s the opposite and slows down.

Regardless, it’s the 4th quarter and there’s still is shit to do!

For those ramping up for the holidays, how will you manage the chaos?

For those slowing down, how will you clean up from the year and strategize for next?

The big question I have for you today is, "What’s changed in your business – or life this year?"

Change can affect us personally and our businesses in so many ways. And it obviously depends on what the change is!

4th Q is time to go “all-in” no matter what.

Time to review three things:

  1. YES what progress have you made on your yearly goals?
  2. What 90-day goal did you make? Any progress?
  3. And, what’s changed this year? How has that affected your progress?

Listen in as I share stories of what's changed for my clients and what's helping them as one ramps up and one slows down. We ALL need to take the time to review the year and make any necessary changes to be ready for the new year.

I’d love to hear from you:

  •  What business you are in, and are you ramping UP or slowing DOWN?
  •  What changes have you gone through this year and how has it affected you and your business?

Comment below or email me at Sandi@SandiBallard.com

Thank you for listening and investing in you and your business and for sharing this podcast with others!

Until next time,

Stay BADASS Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #418: Welcome to the 4th Quarter!30 Sep 202400:15:48

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!

Welcome to another episode of "No More Excuses"!

It’s the 4th quarter, people! We’re in the final stretch of the year. You know what that means—it’s make-or-break time. No more excuses, no more waiting for the "perfect moment." If you’re in business, now is the time to pull it all together and finish the year strong.

In today’s episode, I dive into why the 4th quarter is so crucial for your business, how you can create momentum if you’ve been slacking a bit, and what strategies you need to focus on to crush your goals by year-end.

The 4th Quarter is CRUCIAL!!

Here’s the thing—how you approach the 4th quarter says a lot about how seriously you take your business. Think about it: the last three months of the year can often make or break your annual performance. Why? Because it’s the time where people are starting to evaluate where they stand, reflect on what they’ve achieved, and what they didn’t.

The holiday season is coming up, which means increased consumer spending, more networking events, and greater opportunities to make those important connections that could push your business forward.

If you’re feeling like you didn’t quite hit the mark in the first three quarters, don’t worry—this is your time for a comeback. You can still hit those yearly goals if you get laser-focused NOW. But if you’re just coasting and hoping things will magically come together, well... you’re in for a rude awakening.

It's time to:

  1. REVIEW your goals
  2. RESET your focus
  3. FIND an accountability partner

Yes, you'll have to listen in for more tips and examples!!

Then share, what is YOUR 90-Day GOAL?

Stay Badass!
Cheers!

Podcast #313: Q1 is Ending: Do You Know Where Your GOALS Are?28 Mar 202200:05:26

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! And we are one week into year seven of my podcasts. 313 weeks! Crazy how time flies!

Last Monday’s podcast was about checking in and seeing if something you’ve been doing for a long time needs an upgrade, change, update, or keep on keeping on as-is.

Did you identify something that needs to be fixed or updated? If so, what and how?

Listen in today as I talk about not just how it's time to do your First Quarter Review, but HOW to do your review! When you’re doing the review, as I do with all of my clients, look at the short-term goals, and then see if it or they’ve been achieved. If yes, then GREAT, what’s the next short-term 30-60 & 90-day goals?

If the goals have not been achieved, let’s look at what progress, if any has been made.

What’s happened? What’s distracted you? What challenges have you come across? Is your environment set up for success?

Don't forget, when you’re doing this review, it’s for both your personal and professional goals.

In today's podcast, I also share MY personal and professional goals and where I stand with them.

Some I've made progress on, others I achieved, but had gotten knocked off-track and didn't do as well as I had wanted. And, I also admit the ones that I haven't achieved. Yes, I call myself out! And then I share how they're all helping my overall goals.

So, where are you with YOUR goals? How much progress have you made? What's HELPED and what's gotten in the way? And, what will you do this week to end Q1 strong and START Q2 even STRONGER?

I'm challenging you all to take some time this week to review your goals, progress, and overall mindset.

If you'd like, I have a worksheet that you can use to help you complete your review. You can either download it from my website badassbusiness.coach and head to the podcasts & worksheets page or email me sandi@sandiballard.com and I’ll send it to you. If you complete it and send it back to me, you’ll get a 30-min call to discuss… FREE!

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #312: Six Years.... What's Next?21 Mar 202200:07:34

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! And today starts YEAR SEVEN! YES! I can’t even believe it! Seven years of this weekly podcast.

THANK YOU for motivating me to keep going! I’d love to hear – as always – where you’re listening from but how long!

Last Monday’s podcast was about checking your progress and see what shit you are ALLOWING to knock you off-track and learning how to ACCEPT the compliments, the help you need, the baby steps and all the things that will get you to where you want to go.

What did you determine? How are you digging deeper to end the first quarter as strong as possible?

As I travel back to California from another successful trip to Indiana, I reflect on the meetings, the discussions, the progress checks and the plans to achieve more! I made a few adjustments of my own as well.

With ending year six and looking at the next seven years, I have to determine what I want to happen with the podcast as well as my business and life.

Listen in today and then decide what you will do for you next. It could be amazing!!!

As business owners, we all have so many decisions to make, strategies to think about, questions to ask, and things to learn. That’s why like in last Monday’s podcast, when I shared about my attempt at writing the podcast and what I was allowing to distract me, I was sharing my experience, hopefully giving you an idea of what happens to many of us as we attempt to focus.

Realizing it happens, but to not dwell on it. Catch yourself and get back to it. We have two more weeks in this first quarter. Lots of time to get things goingI’m celebrating six years of having people from all over the world listening to me weekly! From a few hundred downloads to THOUSANDS! From just Indiana to all over the United States and now in 89 countries! And, as I mentioned, it’s time to decide if and what I need to do with the podcast.

What are YOU celebrating right now? Personally and/or professionally, what’s something that is starting another “trip around the sun”? What will you to continue to keep it fresh and make people continue to want it? OR do you keep it the same? Such a dilemma.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it? Or… do we keep improving it to keep it fresh?

Technology is always improving. Doesn’t everything need improving?

What are your thoughts? When’s the last time you gave your world an upgrade?

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #311: Only If You Allow It!14 Mar 202200:07:03

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others!

Last Monday’s podcast was about checking your progress and accepting even the tiniest of progress. Instead of being discouraged, use that energy to dig deeper so you can play BIGGER! Learning how to shut down the negative shit storm in your head isn’t always easy, is it? Nope, but it’s necessary if you want to make progress and achieve those goals!

When you have unnecessary chatter in your head, it makes it hard to think straight and focus. And we all know if you aren’t focused, you certainly aren’t productive, are you?

Any sort of mental anxiety can steal your focus and knock you off-track. Listen in as I share what was going on in my head, and around me, and in my head while I was writing this.

What was I allowing?

Sometimes we need a mental break to help us regroup. But that’s usually in the form of reading a book, a vacation, walk, workout – for me a run – or perhaps you prefer to just chill and listen to music or podcasts.

Sometimes we need to think through things and make decisions. But, if you’re already mentally distracted, will you make the best decision? Will you be able to think logically and proactively, or will you be reacting?

So, as we look at what, how and why… what can you do to eliminate distractions?

What are you ALLOWING to knock you off-track and what you are ACCEPTING that will help you?

As I travel back to Indiana this week for the “Week of BADASSERY”, it will be a full week of helping clients really make sure they are making progress, even if it’s tiny steps, and remember to let go of the bullshit. And if they haven’t made progress, identify the shit they are allowing, and accept that no matter where they are, they have 8 ½ more months left in the year to KICK-ASS and make amazing things happen!

What about you?

What are you allowing and what are you accepting?

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #310: Are YOU Crazy Enough?06 Mar 202200:10:34

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others!

Last Monday’s podcast was about Mindset. Mindset. MINDSET!

Having a positive mindset means keeping your head on straight when shit goes sideways, or you get behind like I have recently.

How about YOU?

Do you keep a positive mindset when you get off-track?

Do you shut down that negative chatter in your head when you make a mistake?

Do you keep yourself from spiraling and getting overwhelmed when shit goes sideways?

Well, if you don’t, you should probably contact me!

2022 has been another weird year. Some people and clients I know have had a GREAT start to the year, while others have not. And as we start reaching for Spring, it’s also the last month of the first quarter of the year.

As many people do, and I always suggest, start really digging into your goals and watching your progress, no matter how small it may seem… to YOU.

Listen in this week as I talk about the "ONLY" syndrome! Yes, we've all said it, "I ONLY did, lost or got [fill in the blank]!"

Learning to accept those baby steps – with pride – can be hard, but I promise you it will be rewarding!

And that’s in LIFE and with BUSINESSES as well!

Keep chugging away. Keep chipping away at the to-do list, the idea list, the debt, the seemingly endless hours. Keep the faith when it’s hard too. Keep climbing! Keep asking. KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

BUT HOW?

I’ve had my shares of worry, stress, meltdowns as well. When it happens to you, shift your mindset. Think about a time when you made that shift from the negative “WHY am I doing this, why keep going, how the hell is this going to work?” to the “I got this", and "this is WHY I am doing this!" "This is why I get up every day and try again!”

We’re human! It’s hard to be positive every damn day. It's hard to take compliments and comments that are meant to pull you out of that rabbit hole of a shitty mindset. It’s hard NOT to wonder when you’ll turn that corner or reach the top of “your” Mount Everest!

And, it doesn’t matter if you’re male or female!

Listen in as I discuss more about how to KEEP FIGHTING when you're tired, stressed and overwhelmed. And then remember...

“The people who think they are crazy enough to change the world, are the ones who do.” ~Steve Jobs

That is where the confidence has to win. Yes, there will be shit days. Days you want to throw in the towel, and wondering WHY vs. the WHY that Simon Sinek suggests you start with.

When I make that shift, and that feeling and confidence comes over me, I know that I am crazy enough to change the world (no matter how tiny of a piece I think it is)…. Are you?

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #309: Who's In Control?28 Feb 202200:10:09

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others!

Last Monday’s podcast was about TIME MANAGEMENT! Prioritizing, creating better habits, organizing… you know, all the things that help you FIND more time in the day!

Did you find more time? Did you prioritize your to-do list? Ok, well did you get the “oh shit list” out of your head and onto paper so you CAN prioritize and keep better track of what you need to do and in what order?

Listen in today, as I share what I spoke with a client about last Friday in regard to figuring out how-to prioritize all she has to do.

Trust me, there are days that I don’t get through my “important list”. Yes, it stresses me out too! And I share why this podcast is late today!

Sometimes shit just happens!

It’s how you recover versus getting overwhelmed by it.

Our minds are truly an amazing animal! Over the years, I’ve talked about mindset and how it can screw up the best of days… if you let it!

Mindset. Mindset. MINDSET!

I work with clients a lot on this. It’s more than just being positive and reading affirmations. I’m talking about managing your head trash, reducing that deflating negative self-talk and learning how to catch yourself when it starts so you can stop it!

So, if you're a long-time listener, you know by how late this is being released that my Monday is NOT starting like I wanted it to, so there goes my week, right?! NOPE! But... will I "ALLOW" the negative talk to ruin my day"? HELL NO!

Listen in today and think about how you handle things when you get off-track?

How do you shut down that negative chatter in your head?

How do you keep yourself from spiraling and getting overwhelmed?

Now, HAVE A HAPPY MONDAY and realize you CAN get back on-track... like I did!

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #308: How Are you Getting It All DONE?21 Feb 202200:17:06

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Last Monday’s podcast was about LOVE! No, not the four-letter word about romance and sex. But about what you do for a living and making sure you LOVE what you do. Or figuring out what parts of what you do, that you do you love.

We don’t all love every aspect of our job or business tasks, but it’s definitely something to look into. Especially when you’re constantly saying, “I don’t have enough time in the day” or “I’m not getting to do what I LOVE” (because of all the shit I have to do!)

Learning to delegate, identify what is and is NOT a good use of your time, telling people NO (boundaries) and understanding WHY you feel like you “have to” do something… sometimes EVERYthing!

Figuring all of this out helps you FIND MORE TIME!

Listen in today as that's what I talk about today! Time Management is such a mystery to many. In my men’s BIZ XL group last week, they all seem to be struggling with “finding more time to get it all done”. One attendee asked, “Is this a guy-issue?” I laughed and said OH NO, it’s a “people issue”! And honestly it doesn’t matter if you own your own business or have a job, at some point we’ve all struggled with “finding more hours in the day”.

I've heard many people say, "Oh I get it all done by MULTI-TASKING! Uh, no you're not! If you're multi-tasking, you're half-assing SOMETHING! You can't do it ALL... WELL.

Time management: The mystery. The "Pot of Gold" at the end of the rainbow!

We all desire it [more hours in the day that is], but we never seem to be able to FIND it!

Listen in as I share some thoughts about an article in Forbes®: The 4 D’s of Time Management. Do, Defer, Delegate and Delete. Which is great as tasks come AT you!

[I'll share the article in one of my posts this week, so hopefully you're following me!!]

Think about - VISUALIZE – what it would feel like to have a day where you felt productive. You got a ton of things done. You "clocked out for the day" feeling GREAT!

[I take you through a visualization exercise in the podcast!]

How can YOU CREATE that day?

Yes, shit’s going to go sideways. Life happens. Clients and bosses demand. Co-workers get chatty. Traffic. Weather. Bullshit. But you don’t have to allow that to be your day, EVERY day.

To have the most productive days, you need to make sure you:

1. Organize

2. PRIORITIZE

3. Visualize... the best outcome

Listen in and then please share your tip on how you save time or find more hours in the day!

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #302: Time To Stand & Stretch!10 Jan 202200:09:45

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others. The crazy continues, doesn’t it? I’m flying back to Cali after coming to Indy for an unfortunate reason. One of my tribe – many of you on this list may know her, Tifney Fields – lost her husband on Christmas Day. Not to start out the podcast as a downer, but it’s just reality, isn’t it? It’s life and shit we have to deal with that you don’t ever want to have to. And so this week I’m really going to get into your asses about making time for things. Taking the time for YOU, for family as well as your business and career.

Last Monday’s podcast was about choosing your Word of the Year. Did you do that yet?? Don’t forget you can download the form from my website and go to the podcasts page!

And, for most of us, as we look at the second week of January, we’re really starting to settle in and get comfy and start really looking at our goals. And, as I mentioned in the opening, and last Thursday’s image, "A year from now, you’ll wish you had started TODAY!"

TAKE A CHANCE!

MAKE SHIT HAPPEN!

2022 is here… No matter if you’re ready or not, it’s time.

But that pesky "VID", we know it’s caused some realizations, things we needed to face but were avoiding. We know it’s forced us to get uncomfortable. And, we know it’s forced us all to pivot, make changes, adjust, accept loss and also created more efficiency.

We know it’s there. And the more you prepare, the easier it will be to get back on-track WHEN – not if – WHEN shit goes sideways!

Yeah, if you’re a long-time listener, you’ve heard me say that many times! So, what will you do today that your future self will thank you for? What are you willing to do FOR YOU? For your family, friends, staff, colleagues?

And how does your Word of the Year play into that action?

My friend and her husband didn’t sit around and wait, they took adventures, made memories and created experiences. If you’ve listened to me for a while or you know me, I will say I’m a Business Coach, but LIFE is what gets in the way of your business. So, my clients and I discuss LIFE every time we talk, including their WORDS and how they are aligning and helping them.

Listen in to hear what a couple of my clients' words are, and how they have, and will help them.

LEVERAGE!

So, this week – as always, LISTEN IN and then do the activity and share here! Watch social media the rest of the week for more questions, challenges and yes, I told you I was going to PUSH!

Cheers!

Sandi

Podcast #301: Live By It!03 Jan 202200:07:31

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others and Happy New Year! My apologies for the delay in getting this to you to help you kick-start 2022 and the first Monday of the year, however shit just happens, doesn’t it?

Last Monday’s podcast was about GOALS! Yes, seeing how many are carry-over and why. As I mentioned, I have a few myself, even from 2020.

But let’s all make sure, regardless of carry-over goals or not, that you start looking at 2022 with fresh eyes and a positive outlook.

Last year at this time I talked about GOALS. Resolutions and INTENTIONS! The trifecta for success.

In today's podcast, I share with you the steps I use with my clients to create their Word of the Year!

I created the worksheet years ago to help me, and shared it immediately with my clients to help them make sure the word really resonates with them, versus just choosing any word.

Why is a having a Word of the Year so important? It helps you identify whether you’re on-track when you’re checking your progress. Last year my word was EMPOWER. So, as I’m checking my goals, I review to see how I am helping others. Yes, it’s my “job”, but am I truly helping EMPOWER people to get to that next level? To live their best lives? Am I helping people who aren’t clients?

I had a client whose word was "Communication". We talked about that word a lot throughout the year as we discussed staff communication, how they were learning to talk with not at each other, and how she can help with that as well as how she communicates with others.

In a sense, your Word of the Year keeps you honest!

In today's podcast, I quickly go through how to set your WORD of the YEAR and how to make sure it's keeping you on-track throughout the year.

So this week – as always, do this activity and share here!

Cheers!

Sandi

I'm your host, Sandi Ballard, The Badass Business Coach™, and today I'm hitting you with a bit of a wake-up call: say it with me:

"Holy Shit... It's June!?"

I've done this as a talk a few times over the years, and well, that title was always taken in one of two ways!

Like the people at my talk, for some of you, this might be a moment of triumph, and for others, it might feel like a punch in the throat.

Some of you may be CRUSHING IT, while others may be at the other end of the spectrum and wondering what the hell happened!

Either way, it's time to take stock, reassess, and push forward.

In today's podcast I share FIVE STEPS on how to do this. So, if you're driving or are out listening, pause this and come back as you'll need to be able to take notes – or perhaps just talk to your phone!

  3. Create a Schedule
  4. Accountability
  5. Reflect and Adjust

Simple, eh? OK! Now, listen in for more in-depth discussion and stories of clients of how this review process has helped them.

And, if you need help, email me: sandi@sandiballard.com or click here to schedule a one-off 60-min session!

Podcast #298: Who & What Has Helped?13 Dec 202100:06:52

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! WOW, just WOW… so much fun the last couple weeks having holiday parties again, seeing people out and about. And yes… feeling human again!

There are only two weeks until Christmas... three weeks until December ends and we are staring down the barrel of a NEW year!

You only have THREE weeks left, how will you FINISH the YEAR?

Last Monday’s podcast was about really making sure you’re building the habit of showing gratitude… not just to check it off your list, but show how thankful you are to people beyond Thanksgiving and of course the end of the year holidays.

As I meet with my clients at the end of the year, I ask them, “Who’s helped you the most this year?” It ALWAYS causes them to pause. I LOVE it.

I’m thankful to have made some of my clients’ list! LOL!

Listen in today and follow my social media posts all week! As we bring this year to a close, many of us still grinding it out, I will be challenging you to think about and share who and WHAT has helped you this year.

Thinking about that can help you understand how far you’ve come and that you wouldn't be here without them.

Podcast #297: Don't Let Up Now!06 Dec 202100:06:33

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Don’t panic – but just letting you know there are only four weeks left in the year… and well, there are also STILL four weeks left in the year. I will always say hey “don’t let up” but if you planned accordingly, you may be able to take your foot off the gas and enjoy the holidays a bit more... BUT ONLY IF you have your shit together!

Last Monday’s podcast was about making sure you’re doing a weekly review and set up for the next week every Friday. I don’t know about you, but my Friday was NUTS!

Listen in today as I share about my new app for my women's TABOO Tribe launch and how I still, no matter how full my week was, I did my end-of-the-week review and prepared for this week that has an even tighter schedule!

What about you?

What’s on your plate this week? Are you prepared? What can help you? Who can help?

And don’t forget about being thankful and showing your gratitude! We can't make that a habit unless we're practicing it! What are you continuing to be THANKFUL for? And how are you showing it?

Habits don’t start overnight! Let’s get in the rhythm first. Let’s take baby steps to create the habit and THEN we can start leveling up. Right?

Listen in today, and then share what will you do this month – each week, perhaps each day to finish strong? With the distractions and blessings of the Holiday season, it can be harder. Like I mentioned in my opening statement, if you planned accordingly, you could relax a bit. But if you didn’t, how will you continue to push, drive, and achieve those goals?

I share all that I accomplished last week, and how it’s been fun, and will help me develop a new habit of staying in touch with more people and creating new content.

What are you excited about? What are you thankful for?

Let’s have a great week of reviewing and continuing to build that habit of showing gratitude.

Oh and watch for details on my Start the Year Strong special! You’ll get a year-in-review session, my goal worksheet, six weeks of laser coaching calls, community support and accountability to help you kick-start the new year! Email me at sandi@sandiballard.com or DM me to reserve your spot! I’m only opening 10 spots to be part of this exclusive program. And if you get in now with the app, you’ll have lifetime access to content, free worksheets, webinars, and discounted coaching! $397. Starts Jan 3rd! Deadline to register is Dec. 20th!

Cheers!

Podcast #296: Time to Review and DO!29 Nov 202100:06:34

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 296 and the last few days of November. Wednesday starts the last month of 2021. WOW! If you haven’t done a year in review, then there’s no time like the present! Yes, I'm going to be talking about REVIEWING now until the end of the year, so get used to it!

Last Monday’s podcast was about being thankful, showing gratitude and not letting up so it becomes a HABIT, not just a “once a year thing” during Thanksgiving.

We have five weeks left in the year, how will you continue to be thankful and show your gratitude to others?

In today's podcast, I talk about how I noticed during my own review last year at this time that I was off-track. And I recovered by practicing what I preach. Yes... the REVIEW is something I preach as well, but I'm referring to PRIORITIZING!

With last week being a week where many people were off work, kids out of school, and traveling, many of us may be a bit off-track a bit. So how will you get back on-track?

So listen in to today's podcast for what I ask you to REVIEW and DO until the end of the year! And for my continued showing of gratitude!

Let’s have a great week of reviewing and continuing to build that habit of showing gratitude.

Cheers!

Podcast #295: How Do You Show Yours?22 Nov 202100:07:50

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 295! That’s over 5 ½ years of doing this. And here I am, coming at you with a new recording, and something we tend to only focus on once a year at this time… being thankful.

Last Monday’s podcast was about changing your mindset about things – and I asked what you’ve changed your mind about, and realized you were wrong! What did you come up with?

SHIFTING your mindset from a negative outlook to a more positive one is hard but is so rewarding. And I am VERY thankful I changed mine.

Listen in today as with this week being the week of Thanksgiving, I decided to share the Oxford Dictionaries definition and the difference between being grateful and feeling thankful!

They are very close! You tend to SHOW gratitude because you have a thankful feeling. And I’m not here today to pick that apart, just to make sure you use those hashtags appropriately. After the never-ending panDamnit, we all need to feel thankful and show some gratitude.

I mean, last year sucked one million %. The beginning of this year was better, and I will say that I hope you are finishing this year as strongly as I am! Yet another reason to feel THANKFUL!

The theme this year in my podcasts has been about LEVELING-UP: Growing. Recovering. Rejuvenating. And now, we’re looking at the last month-ish of the year and really making those necessary, and sometimes painful shifts to make sure you will LEVEL-UP and finish the year STRONG!

This week I want to share with you how THANKFUL I feel for all of you: listeners, returning and new clients, and the friends we’ve made out here in Cali.

Listen in today as I show you how THANKFUL I feel, by showing some gratitude, but you have to listen in to get the instructions on how to receive that gratitude!

As I end all my books:

I’m very thankful and choosing to be grateful… what do you choose?

Let’s have a great week full being so thankful that it carries on beyond this week!

Cheers!

Podcast #294: Time for the Shift To Happen!15 Nov 202100:08:33

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others!

Last Monday’s podcast was about making sure you’re changing for the right reasons and not because shit got hard or boring or any other reason than it’s NECESSARY!

Listen in today, as I talk about what I wrote about in chapter six of my book “How Badly Do You Want ‘IT’?”... "Change creates opportunity for growth. But don’t allow the excitement or challenges to become bright, shiny distractions from your PLAN!"

And again, in chapter six of my third book, “The Magic Pill!”, titled “It’s Evolution Baby", I wrote: "Things change. As humans, we adapt to change by growing and evolving. Change is inevitable. Resistance is futileTM."

So, how do we evolve?

Listen in today, as I talk about how we look back on the last 10 ½ months and see how have you – we – evolved? How are you becoming the best version of yourself? WHAT has changed and why?

Why wouldn’t you want to? As I talk about in today's podcast, it’s ok as you should love who you are, how you look and feel, but I also know from experience that if you don’t evolve, you’ll get stuck.

If you want help figuring out if, how and why you have or should evolve and make that SHIFT happen, email me at sandi@sandiballard.com

Have a great week full of SHIFT happening!

Cheers!

Podcast #293: Do It Because you NEED to!08 Nov 202100:09:04

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to Week 293! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about looking at your patterns. Have you given up too quickly when things got hard? Did the grass look greener, so you jumped? Looking at the pros and cons of things BEFORE you change things up.

It’s easy to quit and give the reason [aka BS excuse!] that “it wasn’t right for me” or “it wasn’t working”. Sometimes you’re right and well, sometimes you’re just searching for the easy way, the “Magic Pill”!

In recent podcasts, I’ve talked about how I painstakingly went through a rebrand last year, but the pain part was the research for the perfect “all-in-one” platform everything I do and offer. Then, I've resisted change because it's overwhelming and time consuming... and it's cost a good amount of money to maintain. But, this isn't about ME, it's about what's good for my clients first [then me!] I weighed the pros and cons and listened to the feedback. When I changed my running and workout program, it was because I hadn't seen any results from what I WAS doing. What about YOU?

In last week’s posts I challenged you to look at your patterns and see how many times you’ve quit or jumped to something else, because things were hard.

Listen in today as I share about someone who LOVES habits when they do them, however, this person doesn't stick with them for long. They say they like CHANGE. [It drives ME batshit crazy!]

CHANGE.

Change can be good and is necessary sometimes, but...

What needs to CHANGE and WHY? Listen in then share with me!

Or, if you want help figuring it out, email me at Sandi@SandiBallard.com

Let’s have a great week full of changing for the right reasons!

Cheers!

Podcast #292: How Green is your Grass?01 Nov 202100:08:05

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 292! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about looking deeper into your habits and seeing which ones need adjusted, changed-up, stopped or created to help you finish the year strong.

What did you find? Did you change anything? Or start anything new? You'll have to listen in today to hear my update and what I struggled with.

Today I also talk about two of my clients I met with last week. One admitted she's not a fan of doing the hard work, and the other is ready to JUMP because shit got hard. He's done that throughout his whole life, but now that he's working with me, I'm trying to help him look at the pros and cons BEFORE he switches gears because something else "sounds easier!"

It’s not uncommon to quit, to give up quickly when shit gets hard.

And when it does, people give up versus leaning into it. You've got to role up your sleeves and DO the hard work. There is NO magic pill!

The grass is not greener. And yes, as I discussed last week, sometimes there are things that need to be changed up, discussed, thought through deeper, stopped and - or started to help you. Listen in for this week's challenge!

If you want help figuring it out, and talking through the pros and cons to make sure you’re on the right track and not jumping IN or OUT too fast, click here to email me!

Let’s have a great week full of focus, motivation and kicking ass!

Cheers!

Podcast #291: What Needs Adjusted?25 Oct 202100:09:01

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 291! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about how to focus more and STOP multi-tasking so you can be more effective, productive, and fully present with whatever you are working on or whomever you are meeting with.

With all that I have been preaching about, what more could I possibly get on your ass about or ask you to do? Well, last year on this day – podcast 239 – I talked about the BS excuses and blaming I had been hearing from a client. And, I asked about habits. Which fits right into the end of the year!

YES! Habits help you achieve your goals.

Listen in today as I talk MORE about HABITS! And more so, doing the review so you can see what needs to be adjusted and where you need to improve so you will LEVEL-UP and finish the year STRONG!

As we continue to fly into the 4th quarter, we now need to be even diligent so we can LEVEL-UP and finish the year STRONG!

Why do I talk so much about HABITS and reviewing progress?  Because by the end of each quarter we sometimes can start to slip, or get lazy with our habits, environment and everything that helps us succeed. Listen in as I talk about why we do that and how habits help us improve and become the best version of ourselves.

Let’s have a great week kicking ass with strong, healthy habits!

Cheers!

Podcast #290: Stop the Spinning!18 Oct 202100:08:33

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about how sometimes you need to fully focus on one thing to make sure you finish it strong. Give it your all. And no, multi-tasking is NOT a “Superpower”! Change my mind!

At times we have to get it all done… NOW. But trying to do three things at once, does nothing but help you half-ass it all!

We’re probably all guilty of it, especially after being forced to spend almost two years in the virtual world, the virtual meetings, especially if they aren’t attention-grabbing or interactive!

One thing at a time.

FOCUS.

Being fully present can be difficult for people. Listen in today as I share how I helped a client develop strategies for he and his teammates so they could learn to switch gears quickly, without frustration and be fully present for whatever they were facing at the moment.

For those of you who are old enough to remember the Calgon® commercials, you know what I'm talking about! And honestly, if you're on my Facebook page, you saw how I woke up and how I was already spinning before my feet hit the ground. And, what helped me FOCUS!

I know many of you will push back, as you think you’re an amazing multi-tasker, but I’m here to tell you… you’re kidding yourself! LOL!

If you want help figuring out how to refocus, eliminate distractions and make sure you’re on-track so you WILL finish the year STRONG, contact me... click here to email me NOW!

Cheers! Let’s have a great week full of focus, motivation and kicking ass!

Podcast #289: What Needs Yours?11 Oct 202100:07:28

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 289! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about doing a FINANCIAL review and a few tips on things to check on to save money. It’s so important to do a review of everything in your life. Personally, professionally, and financially – which involves BOTH personal and professional. If you’ve listened to me or know me, you’ve heard me say that LIFE is what gets in the way of your business, so that’s why I ask personal questions and have you check on things. If you only focus on one aspect, the other can go to shit, but it may be necessary... Trust me!

Listen in as I share how the last couple weeks have been nuts for me, and how I've had to deal with HUGE distractions, but also things that needed my FULL attention.

Where your focus goes, your energy flows, right? And yes, there are many times that we need to focus 100% on something, and that’s ok!

What’s been distracting you? What have you had to focus on to finish? Listen in to hear what I'm challenging you to think about and DO this week!

Cheers!

Podcast #288: It's 10pm, Do You Know Where Yours Is?04 Oct 202100:14:35

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to Week 287! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about how it takes money to make money, and also clarifying that what you are doing daily and IS or is NOT a good use of your time. Because time is money and if you’re NOT doing things that are a good use of your time, remembering that you’re also wasting your money. I also talked ideas to look into to get the help you need that may not require you to use your money!

Today, as we kick-off the first week of October, and the 4th quarter, I asked financial advisor, Beth Correll to talk about how important it is to also do a financial check-in, and the things to look at to save money.

As you continue to progress toward your goals, doing a financial progress check is important, as many times your goals affect your finances and vice versa. And many of us may have financial goals as well.

No matter if you are currently working with a financial advisor or not, you should be doing more than balancing your checkbook! Looking deeper into making sure you and your business are properly protected is something I discuss with ALL of my clients.

Are you able to grow, or invest in new technology to help you achieve your goals?

So yes, it takes money to make money.

Listen in as Beth shares tips, ideas and how a financial advisor can help, even if you don’t think you have enough money to use an advisor, you should talk with one!

You can contact Beth at Beth.Correll@RaymondJames.com

And, if you want help figuring out how to finish the year STRONG, email me at Sandi@SandiBallard.com let’s talk!

Let’s have a finically rewarding week!

Cheers!

Podcast #287: Does It?27 Sep 202100:08:02

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 287! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about DELEGATING! Yes, that very necessary thing, but hard to do! Next week we start the 4th quarter, so the countdown is on, so look at "if", "how," and, "how much" you will LEVEL-UP!

If you’re doing work that isn’t at your pay rate, how is it helping you? Listen in today as I talk more about that damn to-do list and why it's so important to see what's STILL on it, what's NOT getting done and, also what IS getting done, but WHO should be doing it.

We’ve all heard the phrase:

“It takes money to make money.”

And, that is SO TRUE! But I've also read that it does NOT. Well, TIME is MONEY. And if you're using your time to do things that are not a good use of YOUR time, then you're wasting your money!

Trust me, I’m guilty of it! And yes, like many things, easier said than done to have all the help you need at the snap of your fingers! I know I would!

So, what on your list would take money to get done?

What would it take for you to get someone to help? Listen in as I share about two of my clients who have a very good idea of what it will take to get their businesses off the ground and what they're doing about it.

They know they can't do it all, nor should they!

And yes, there are ways to get the help you need without paying someone. Think about an intern and that infamous concept of TRADE.

Today I may go on  a bit about when you DO let go of the tasks you don’t need to be doing, it opens up the space for you to work ON your business, to focus on growth and strategy and well, making more money!

Let’s get you out of the weeds and at the 10k foot view. Let’s get you running your business vs. it running you.

And for now, if you want some help figuring out how to finish the year STRONG? Email me at Sandi@SandiBallard.com. Let’s talk!

Cheers!

Happy Podcast #286: How Much Do You Pay Yourself?20 Sep 202100:09:52

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Welcome to week 286!

Last Monday’s podcast was about BURNOUT! It happens quite a bit, and I just saw it last week in my networking group. Remember when I talked about the guy who has been snarky because he had only been sleeping 2-4 hours/night? Well, now he's SICK! That's what happens!

There’s a fine line between really needing to work your ass off one more hour or multiple sleepless nights to get something completed, and that you’re just overdoing it. As I mentioned last Monday – if you’re burning the candle at both ends, what will it cost you?

My men’s group last week discussed this, and I share in today's podcast about what they all have in common, and how it is hard to create healthier boundaries. And, well, why people tend not to! I’ve had it ALL happen to me!

What about you?

If you’re flying solo, that probably means you’re “doing it all” and are at risk of burn-out. I've been there too!

It goes back to clear expectations and taking the time NOW to make more time for you LATER.

Asking for help. It’s hard. It’s frustrating. It doesn’t always work out. We don't tend to do it well... or at all, including me!

And, for the sake of sounding like a broken record... is what you're doing too much? And, at what cost? Are you doing what's a good use of YOUR time?

Listen in and then share.

I’d love to help you figure out how NOT to do it all, and steer clear of burnout! Contact me - click here to email me – let’s talk!

Cheers!

Podcast #285: You Will Get Burned!13 Sep 202100:11:45

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was not just about checking your progress, but more about giving yourself credit for the baby steps or the HUGE steps you’ve taken. And seeing how that motivates you.

I shared about my frustration. Did you listen? What about you? When have you not given yourself enough credit? When has your progress motivated you?

And then... sometimes you have to give yourself a break.

In podcast 279 when I talked about how if you’re not operating at 100% you’re not giving your clients, customers, family or yourself 100%? You constantly must check yourself to make sure you’re not close to burnout.

Listen in today as I share how two people I spoke with recently were both at that burnout phase and one guy who constantly bit off more than he could chew and ruined his reputation... for YEARS!

There’s such a fine line there with working your ass off to get things started or fill in the gaps and unnecessarily working until you get sick or are making mistakes and burnout.

You think you can “fake it until you get your shit together”, but people see through that! You either look, sound, or act different. And is that fair? Are you performing at your best? HELL NO!

But… Sandi, it’s all gotta get done! Well, no shit! But at what expense?

Is it worth it? What do you want to be known for?

Let’s start NOW so next year you’ll see all your amazing progress, at a sustainable pace so you will avoid burnout! And, if you want to get a little KICK-start, sign up now for the 6-Weeks to Success program: http://tinyurl.com/sixweekstosuccess/

Podcast #284: You've Put in The Work, So Now...06 Sep 202100:09:52

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! Don’t forget to follow me on social media to continue the challenges, questions, and opportunity for continued growth.

Last Monday’s podcast was about figuring out what really motivates you. Whether it’s checking things off a list, or like one of my clients who aligns consequences and accountability with what she needs to do. Motivation comes in many forms!

Well, and with today – in ‘Merica – being Labor Day, let’s take a moment to celebrate the hard work you’ve done and will do to achieve your goals.

Last Monday I asked you to complete the sentence: By the end of the year, I will [have] ________________________. Well, what did you say?

Listen in today as I share what I WILL have done by the end of the year, and what will keep me motivated!

As I've mentioned, the motivation can come from a progress check and seeing that you actually HAVE made progress! Sometimes it's hard to see the progress. I share what I was frustrated with and when I realized my baby steps had helped me make more progress than I realized. And, in-turn, how that realization helped MOTIVATE me even more!

Think about what you’ve done.

The time you’ve spent – the hard work… the LABOR to get to where you are today.

Don’t forget to follow me on social media to get daily challenges, thoughts, inspiration to help you continue to learn and grow!

Podcast #283: What Will Motivate You To Get SH*T Done?30 Aug 202100:10:48

She’s looking to give her social media marketing biz a boost or as she said, “You called me out in a sense to get my “ish” – aka SHIT - together” THANK YOU!

For the rest of you, reach out – email me at sandi@sandiballard.com or DM message me on social! I have one listener in Congo… who are you?! Message me!

Last Monday’s podcast was about figuring out if you’ve just been busy doing shit or productive doing amazing things that are really helping you move toward your goals. It doesn’t matter if you think you’re ON-TRACK (as last Monday’s image quote said) "You’ll get run over if you just sit there!"

So, let’s ALL get up, get moving and do something our future selves will be thankful for!

Yes, that’s an old one I’m pulling out to put back in your faces!

What’s on YOUR list? I know I have a ton of stuff still I want to accomplish yet this year – both personally and professionally. Listen in to today's podcast as I share about yes, lists, but more about MOTIVATION to get those things ON your list done, and about a client who wasn't getting things done and why.

No, this isn’t another podcast just talking about tasks and to-do’s, it’s about the MOTIVATION to get things done.

What's ON your list is just as important as what will MOTIVATE you to get shit done!

And today, I share what we came up with to help motivate her to get them done!

As I mentioned last week, it’s time to regroup, refocus and reset stronger, healthier boundaries and create a supportive environment. And when you have those things, you can more easily look forward and FOCUS on what you need to do, want to do and WILL do to help you achieve your goals.

And if you don't know how to MOTIVATE yourself, or find things that will, click here to sign up for the 6-Weeks to Success program now!

You won't be disappointed! I guarantee it!

Podcast #282: Are You ON or OFF-Track?23 Aug 202100:07:43

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! This is week #282 – almost 5 ½ years of talking, sharing, and hopefully help you get out of your own way, stop with the excuses and achieve some amazing things!

Last Monday’s podcast was about how UNHEALTHY BOUNDARIES, and an UNSUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT devalues YOU! Did you look around or look into yours?

I like to have the choice to hit the beach for a couple hours and work at night instead of working at night because of allowing people to steal my time!

Which would YOU prefer?!

It’s all about taking a good look at what’s going on in your life vs. being afraid to face what’s going on! That’s what happened to many of us last year. We may have been on the right track, but were we just sitting there?

Listen in as I share how many of us got complacent and so when the panDAMNIT hit us, shit really went sideways and what to look for!

Podcast #281: What's Your Worth?16 Aug 202100:11:03

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! This is week #281. Crazy how long it’s been since I started yet it seems like not that long ago!

Last Monday’s podcast was about having a strong, healthy environment and boundaries. These are two of the hardest things for people to do in general, NOT just business owners!

Especially those pesky notifications that are addictive and have made us all like Pavlov’s dog! They keep us from being able to FOCUS!

FOCUS IS my favorite (ok 2nd favorite) F-Word!

In this week's podcast I share how I challenged someone on LinkedIN to create healthier boundaries and I hope you'll do the same after you listen in!

And this discussion leads me to what happens when you don’t have a healthy environment and your boundaries SUCK.

UNHEALTHY BOUNDARIES and an UNSUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT devalues YOU... and causes a lack of RESPECT!

How? Well, you'll have to listen in to find out!

Last week my week got thrown off – yes – AGAIN! How? Well, I guess you'll have to listen in, but as you can imagine, I allowed shit to invade my time. One was something I wouldn't ever say NO to [hint... my child] and the other shit, I just allowed, but didn't realize it until I started getting frustrated!

We’re digging deeper people so you can PLAY BIGGER!

So please, listen in and take the time – and perhaps money – to INVEST in YOU!

Cheers

Sandi

Podcast #280: Are You Set Up for Success?09 Aug 202100:12:07

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! This is week #280. Crazy how long it’s been since I started yet it seems like not that long ago!

Last Monday’s podcast was about mindset. The mental chaos that we all deal with on some level and at some point. By reviewing what shit is going on, and facing it – taking care of things, you can relieve some of it and become mentally stronger.

And more importantly, operate at a higher level! After dealing with the mental chaos I had going on, I'm definitely operating at a much higher level!

The important thing is to recognize triggers, habits and even common occurrences that seem to come in and knock you off-track. Remember, even weather can affect you! OR other things in your environment… like PEOPLE!

Listen in today as I talk about making sure you’re MENTALLY set up for success as well as ENVIRONMENTALLY!

I share what happened with a client, and how this "challenge" affected our search for a new place as well.

And, how do we make sure we're set up for SUCCESS? BOUNDARIES!

Make sure you follow me this week on social media so you too can make sure YOU are set up for SUCCESS! And click here to email me if you aren't sure if – or HOW – you can be.

Cheers!

Podcast #279: How Are You Showing Up?02 Aug 202100:11:12

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others! This is week #279 for those of you new here or have lost track… like I do sometimes! If you’re new here, and your listening with little kids around, I never know when I’m going to drop some colorful language, it just flows, so consider yourself warned!

And HAPPY AUGUST!

Five months left… so much time to keep pushing, challenging and achieving!

Last Monday’s podcast was about digging deeper than you thought you could – challenging yourself to finish July STRONG as F!

How’d you do?

In today's podcast, I share how I did. And well, that's what gave me the fodder for today's podcast!

There's a HUGE difference between "life" and “self-inflicted distractions”.

MINDSET and MENTAL CHAOS.

I was talking with a client a couple weeks ago, and have mentioned it many times on these podcasts, any my talks – if you’re not mentally operating at 100%, how are you showing up for your clients, customers, staff, vendors, and yes your family, friends and YOU? **See the image I drew for a client!**

If you have so much shit tangled up in your mind, it’s hard to focus and show up like we need to. And it's hard to make progress and achieve goals.

Today and this week I want to discuss and help you focus on what matters.

Shit happens. LIFE happens. Last week's chaos was out of our control. It was a huge distraction, but I handled it. And now... well, you're listening to this podcast aren't you?

Listen in and then share where you are!

Cheers,

Sandi

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!

Welcome to another episode of "No More Excuses".

Today, I want to dive into the whirlwind world of business ownership and how to manage the mania that comes with it.

Running a business is NOT for the faint of heart. It's a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, twists and turns, and some days it can cause a bigger adrenaline rush than a friggn' skydiving expedition. Sometimes in a good way, and other times, not so much! And amidst the chaos, there's one thing we can't afford to lose sight of:

...Our Sanity!

Listen in today as I talk about how to embrace the madness, accept that there will be ups and downs, victories and setbacks, and find strength in the midst of the storm.

I'll share THREE TIPS to help you as well as share a personal story with my own "A-ha moment" of how people helped me understand that I was NOT managing my own "mania"!

Until next time, stay badass, stay sane HAHA, and remember—there are no excuses when it comes to taking control of your business and your life. Thanks for tuning in.

Cheers!

Podcast #278: Time to Get UNcomfortable!26 Jul 202100:07:47

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and sharing this podcast with others!

Last Monday’s podcast had my quarterly guest and CPA Savilla Beam on to share her wisdom about the "3 mistakes most Entrepreneurs make", especially during the start-up phase! But trust me, I’ve spoken with MANY that have been in business and are doing silly-shit still that just blows my mind.

If you haven’t listened into last Monday’s podcast, please do. She share’s some great ways to easily check to see if you are making these easily fixable mistakes!

I’ve talked a lot about mistakes, and we’ve all heard the guru’s say – and yes that includes me – if you aren’t making mistakes, you aren’t trying and you aren’t learning!

No one likes to make them.

With this week being the last week in July – month 7 of 2021, we’re facing the countdown. Last year at this time, we were in the middle of the never-ending lockdown, the panDAMNIT.

And now here we are, one year later. Where are you?

I’ve been talking about LEVELING-UP and digging deeper all year.

Listen in

and then tell me…

Cheers,

Sandi

Thank you for being here, for listening, sharing this podcast with others! And don't forget to check out my website www.BadassBusiness.Coach! And connect with me on social media!

Lately I’ve been really challenging you to dig deeper to play bigger. In last Monday’s podcast, I harped on habits. I shared a tip from the book "Atomic Habits" about temptation bundling, and I shared how some of my habits were hurting my progress toward my goals and others were helping! Yes, even I half-ass shit from time to time.

Did you look at your habits? Which ones are helping and which one’s aren’t?

In today's podcast I share how things are going for me! But the biggest thing to remember is...

Things take time.

People want an immediate ROI, satisfaction, instant gratification.  But people, there is NO magic pill – as my 3rd book is titled "Magic Pill"!

It takes TIME... and WORK!

Listen in today, as I talk about how I do understand you need some "magic to happen fast" to help you see progress and especially to help you want to do it all over again. I share a story about what I am doing and how the new platform is promising ME a fast ROI, as well as a story about a client who did NOT get immediate gratification, however he put in the WORK and his growth has been tremendous!

Listen in, have a great week and don't forget you can click here to sign up for a FREE 30-minute call. Let me help you see the magic that can happen for you!

Have a great week!

As we look at things for the next six months, especially as things are still "different", you must realized you can’t level up if you’re just chugging along and not paying attention!

Listen in today as I share more about MY review and how I am RE-Setting and RE-doing part of a PLAN!

The next 6-months are here... are you ready?

If you aren't sure, click here to set up a session NOW!

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses!

And well, yes, it’s Monday again and the last Monday in June. So, it's time to really REVIEW, reset, and then redo if you must.

Podcast #272: Do You Have the Patience?14 Jun 202100:09:58

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here!  Click here to check out my website, and don't forget to connect with me on social media!

Thank you to listeners Susan and Gina for connecting with me on social media and for listening! And if you haven’t reached out yet… please do so!

Last Monday’s podcast was all about thinking DEEPER about your goals and identifying WHO you’ll become by achieving a specific goal. I shared that I’m listening to the book "Atomic Habits". In this book, author James Clear, talks about the science behind habits – good and bad. If you haven't listened to last Monday's podcast click here to do so, then come back!

It's important to break down your goals and focus on smaller month-by-month goals vs. being overwhelmed by the BIG yearly goal or even 3-5 years out. Yes, I always ask clients to identify big goals, but not all have been able to.

That’s why I say, “I meet my clients where they are, and help them get to where they want to go”. I challenge people to think ahead, then break it down. We’ve all heard the saying “How do you eat an elephant”? “One bite at a time!” That phrase has been given credit to MANY people – including Desmond Tutu and General Creighton Abrams. And a book titled the same by Bill Hogan – which I have NOT read… have you?

Well, that concept can be applied to so many things, including your goals!

So, no matter if you can see five years into the future or just this month or maybe the year, positive habits will help you get there. You’re like DUH Sandi, we all know that, but…

Exactly… BUT!

Listen in today as I share more about how I hear "but" so many times! And, I share how I got from one mile at a time to running half-marathons!

Baby steps.

Yes, many times we need the help, our tribe, our buddies, vendors, sub-contractors, collaborators and others we need to help us – remember…

LIFE IS A TEAM SPORT!

But it starts with the person in the mirror! Yes, YOU!

Last Monday I shared a story about a former client who wouldn’t take my advice of “baby-stepping” and ended up overwhelmed and quit. She didn't understand how to take ONE BITE of that elephant every day and in-turn quit.

What do YOU want?

Last week I talked about just your MONTHLY goal. And today, you'll need to listen in as if you want to LEVEL-UP, it's time to DIG DEEPER because...

When you talk about your GOALS, I want your stomach to flip!

You'll have to listen in to hear what your weekly challenge is!

Have a great week and yes, I look forward to hearing from you and you scheduling that 30-minute call to share your homework with me by CLICKING HERE!

And, if your goal is to START a Business, CLICK HERE to start my online course "How to Launch a Business in 90-Days" for only $99!

Podcast #271: What's Your Answer?07 Jun 202100:11:08

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for listening, sharing the podcast with others and connecting with me on social media. And most importantly, investing in YOU!

Are you HAPPY? Well, then you didn’t listen to last Monday’s podcast! Go do it now! We all deserve to be happy with what we do for a living or, if it’s a means to fund your PASSION, then what about your side-gig, hobby or favorite past-time makes you HAPPY?

What SKILLS are you using?

As we enter June, yes, I’m on my soap box, I want you to DIG DEEPER so you can PLAY BIGGER the rest of the year! No matter if you were slow, shut down or busier than hell last year, we can all LEVEL-UP!

You ready to play?

Yes, I missed the mark to make you all do a 30-day challenge, but really, we should do that EVERY month, right? So what are you doing to best utilize your skills, knowledge, expertise to be happy every day?

How can being happy help you LEVEL-UP? You know how you feel when you’re happy and you know how that affects your energy and motivation level, which in-turn affects your productivity.

Yes, I am always asking what you want to achieve and once you answer that, the next question is...

WHY?

Followed by: Who do you want to become by achieving that?

I'm currently listening to Atomic Habits by James Clear. Ironic as his science behind habits is what I've talked about, and worked with my clients on for over 10 years.

Well, I actually grew up driving my dad nuts by asking "why"? And I'll continue asking that because it will help you determine WHO you want to become. It will help you really dig deeper into why you even have something as a goal.

In today's podcast, I talk about how people can sometimes be too aggressive and then quit! I had a new client last year that wouldn't listen to me and did just that... gave up and quit me.

Truth hurts.

And my job is many times telling you, and suggesting you do things you don't like or want to listen to.

So I'll ask again... WHY do you want to achieve what you have listed? What will it do for you? Who will you become?

We need goals to be challenging but not so overwhelming you quit. Remember there is NO quick fix, aka Magic Pill!

My 3rd book [available on my website and Amazon] is all about that and is titled just that, “The Magic Pill”. There are no quick fixes and easy ways around the “shit”. There are SMARTER ways for sure, and THAT is where things will find that things seem easier.

In today's podcast, I also ask you to take a look at your habits. Which ones are positive ones and which ones are negative or moving you toward or away from your goals is HUGE!

And, it all starts by asking yourself "WHY?"

I look forward to hearing from you, and, if you can't figure it out figure out WHY or HOW or this podcast is just sending you into a spin, click here to email me NOW! Let me help you figure things out and LEVEL-UP!

Cheers!

Podcast #270: How STRONG are yours?31 May 202100:10:47

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, listening and connecting with me on social media!

Happy Memorial Day. That is a very weird thing to say isn’t it? “Happy” when you’re honoring those who aren’t with us any longer. Not to start off on a weird, somber note, but well, it is Memorial Day here in America, so please take a moment to HONOR those who gave so we can have.

Last Monday's podcast was about [RE]focusing on you and your priorities. How have you been doing with putting you and your PRIORITIES first? In today's podcast I share more about how my clients has been doing and by his refocusing on him, how it's helped his team!

SO EXCITING to see my coaching working!

Last Monday’s podcast was about digging deeper, stop doing shit that isn’t helping you grow and learning to SLOW down to SPEED up!

So many things. But hey we’re 5 months into the new year, and with hopefully a mask-free breath of fresh air, we can all do a little more than we thought so we can LEVEL-UP!

What did you do to dig a little deeper than normal? Today I share how I DUG DEEPER, as well as a client. And why and how she’s EXCITED to get out of bed!

Speaking of being excited to get up in the morning. Yes, PASSION and not that kind!

The passion to get out of bed ready to kick ass!

Listen in today as I discuss a conversation I had recently with someone about how he’s not excited right now to get up and do what he does for a living. Remember a few podcasts ago, I talked about what keeps you up and night should get you out of bed in the morning? We all want to be HAPPY with what we do. In life and at work. Part of that is by doing what we're GOOD at, using our SKILLS. But we all don't have that luxury. Or do we? We may just not be tapping into it properly!

Are you? If not, CLICK HERE to schedule your FREE 30-minute session NOW, or DIG DEEPER and let's do a full strategy session about why you aren't ready to JUMP out of BED and KICKASS!

Have a great week of being HAPPY, Doing what you're good at and KICKING ASS!
Cheers!

Podcast #269: Get The Shovel Ready!24 May 202100:08:39

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, for listening and connecting with me on social media, but most importantly, for taking the time to invest in YOU!

In last week's podcast, I talked about focusing on YOU. Self-care, as well as just focusing on, and taking care of YOUR priorities in your business or job. So... how'd you do?! It’s so easy to push yourself and YOUR priorities down the list. I’ve done it as well!

Listen in to today's podcast as I share how my client did that I talked about in last Monday’s podcast once he focused on HIS priorities, even just for that one week, and how by him “slowing down to speed up”, it helped the whole office!

Today I also share about how I sometimes need to slow down, and how I've screwed some shit up!

SLOW DOWN to SPEED UP!

What an anomaly! But it really does work! Yes, it’s so hard to keep yourself in-check sometimes with so many things going on, so many balls in the air, and so many people tugging at your sleeve for your attention.

Listen in today, as I want to help you stop doing shit that doesn't serve you, stop playing small, and get focused so you can LEVEL-UP!

I want you to finish this month STRONG!

Do you?

To do that, I need you to DIG DEEP this week. DIG DEEP!

How do you do that? Well follow me on social media: Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn, as I'll share articles, tips, and ways to STOP doing dumb shit so you can focus on DIGGING DEEPER!

Have a great week and get that shovel ready!

Cheers!

Podcast #268: What's Next? YOU!17 May 202100:09:16

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here!  Don't forget to check out the DIY resources on my website, and also connect with me on social media for continued challenges, tips and articles!

So, tell me, how have you been? Did you experience that “Spring Cleaning Feeling” I talked about in last Monday’s podcast? I had a full WEEK of that feeling with my new screaming-fast laptop. Even though it’s a refurbished, it’s eight years newer, more memory and just... WOW! It’s definitely helping me feel more productive and efficient as I’m not having to wait for programs to open, the computer to “think” and it’s most definitely not stressing me out! I’m able to do so much more research for articles, tips and ideas and just faster!

That Spring Cleaning feeling will help you LEVEL UP! How? The energy will help you stay focused, which increases your productivity. You’ll see your progress and that is what gets you excited, and then that circle of amazingness helps you stay MOTIVATED! Or well, it should!

Listen in TODAY as I share a few examples I heard from listeners on how they achieved that "Spring Cleaning Feeling"

It was great hearing from you and how the podcast resonated with you and helped you capture that feeling! And well, when you realize by FIXING the shit that’s broken, you CAN and WILL be PRODUCTIVE as F@CK! It’s such a huge mindset shift.

As all the quotes and posts were about last week, “Be Intentional”, “Time is non-refundable”, “Your Future is Created by what YOU do TODAY!”

So what now? Yea, I always ask that or What’s Next? Now that things are getting fixed, what’s next on the list? Listen in to today's podcast as I share a story from a client session last week. How he's been so busy he's not focused on himself or "What's Next", and in-turn has been making mistakes.

Then make sure to check my social media as this week will be about what YOU are doing for you, personally and professionally!

Have a productive and efficient week!
Cheers!

Podcast #267: How Does It Make YOU Feel?10 May 202100:10:47

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here, listening and sharing my podcast with others and for connecting with me on social media!

It’s only May 10th and I feel like it’s been a MONTH! It’s been full of distractions, progress and FIXING things that have been a long-time distraction! And man it feels good when you sort of clean things up doesn’t it?

Like spring cleaning your home! Think about that first beautiful day in Spring when you open the windows and let the fresh breeze blow in and you do a deep clean, perhaps even move things around, and yes, start that list of “home improvements”! Got that feeling yet? Feels good doesn't it?

In last Monday's podcast, I talked about how it's OK to just have a great week, nothing crazy happening, no distractions. But, that also comes from handling things, fixing broken shit and getting rid of what doesn't serve you! It's ok to take a breath.

It's that same feeling. Because you were able to FOCUS.

Remove DISTRACTIONS by FIXING things. Listen in to today's podcast as I share how I am preaching what I’m practicing because I finally practiced what I preached last week!

And, it was like that Spring Cleaning feeling!

Ahhhh…. Fixing distractions. Creating efficiency and PRODUCTIVITY! It feels SO GOOD! Like that Spring Cleaning feeling!

PRODUCTIVITY!

It’s an amazing feeling, yet it escapes so many of us!

It’s time to LEVEL-UP people! Are you ready? Well, do you at least want to? I can help you get there, you just have to be ready. So... are you?

Podcast #266:03 May 202100:09:04

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION!

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here!  - click here to check out my website – and connect with me on social media! [Links at bottom]

Some Mondays are harder than others when it comes to figuring out something to talk about on this podcast! Especially with FOCUS being the topic of conversation for the last month or so, just sometimes nothing jumps out at me or sticks with me. And, honestly having a week where no major shit goes sideways, it’s really just work and fun, so having things being uneventful is really OK!

Listen today as I talk about having a chaos-free week can be scary, like “did I miss something?" and waiting for the “other shoe to drop?”

THAT'S OK! Enjoy it as NOW… it’s TIME TO

TAKE A BREATH!

After last Monday’s podcast where I talked – and asked – about what has – in your world - has felt like is out of control or is out of YOUR control, having a week of just being, doing, living, is nice isn’t it?

Today, as I talk about how by fixing the things on your list [usually it's the shit that's NOT getting done] will give you the time to focus on what you want to DO vs have to FIX.

I just spoke with someone last week who was telling me he had a list of things he wasn’t “finding the time to work on”. So, I sent him a worksheet to list those items, prioritize and think through the WHY. Many things can steal your time, but so looking at what's going on and the WHY is so important.

As I mentioned, I hired a Virtual Assistant and OH did I have a long list I had been creating of shit falling off my plate that I was able to give her! And now, I can refocus on what I want to DO vs things that aren’t a good use of my time or have to “fix”!

Again, listen in as we kick off a new Month [yep, it’s May already!] and let's make a push to help you make amazing things happen before you wake up and say "Oh shit the year's half-over!"

Don't let the shit that’s out of your control, make you feel out of control. Ok?

Have a great week! Let's FIX some shit vs. avoiding it, so you can FOCUS on what you want to DO!

Cheers!

Podcast #264: We Can Manage Them!19 Apr 202100:11:11

HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION

Welcome back to the weekly podcast, No More Excuses.

Thank you for being here!  Please check out my website – www.BadassBusiness.Coach and connect with me on social media for daily challenges, asks, and articles!

Spring is such a bi-polar time of the year, isn’t it? No matter where you live the weather goes back and forth from warm to chilly, then hot to cold. One day there are gray, dreary skies then back to gorgeous, and even rain and snow. It’s a constant reminder of what we are NOT in control of, and yes it can even distract us from what we need to be focusing on.

We all know last year the FOCUS button was broken for damn near all of us! That’s why this year I really want to help YOU – and me – get and STAY focused!

And, as I discussed in last Monday’s podcast, getting to the next level is going to require FOCUS! And at the end of the podcast, I gave you FIVE steps to help you get FOCUSED! If you haven’t listened to last week’s podcast, click here to go do that now!

FOCUS!

There have been many days where I’ve yelled at myself to focus! Listen in as I share what distracted me last week and how I was able to get a few things off my plate to my amazingly badass virtual assistant Michele!

How did you do? Did you make your list? How did it help you?

I talked about distractions in your environment in Podcast #126. The people and things that make up your world, and the distractions that come with it... especially after last year!

Learning to recognize what's distracting us and more importantly when WE cause the distraction is huge! Then learning to manage our reaction to shit we can’t do shit about!

Listen in to hear what I want you to do this week to help you identify and eliminate distractions... and understand what you can and can't do anything about!

Cheers!

Podcast #263: STOP Doing EVERYTHING!12 Apr 202100:11:55

What a whirlwind of a year so far, at least for me! It seems like many times the beginning of the year goes by fast as we’re recouping from the Holidays, or whatever 2020 was, as well as getting our goals set up (although I recommend doing that BEFORE the end of the year, I realize it doesn’t always happen!), and just getting motivated!

So, hopefully you’re settled into the new year. It doesn’t matter if things are fully opened, or starting to, it’s the second quarter, it’s really now or never! If you don’t get your ass in gear now, you’ll wake up in June, or perhaps even October and wonder what happened to 2021!

In last week’s podcast, I talked about EXPLORING! Exploring other options, new ways to do things and just taking a step back to look at your business or career, and your life in general and see what’s missing.

EXPLORE.

What did you find? Listen into today's podcast as I share what I heard from some listeners and I share what I discovered and what I'm doing about it!

And, what will it take to LEVEL-UP?

FOCUS.

Doing all of this, getting MYSELF to the next level so I can do more for YOU will require more FOCUS. It's what it will take for any of us to LEVEL-UP!

You can’t do more or achieve more by being scattered. And, it happens to all of us… obviously I tell on myself in today's podcast!

AGAIN, listen in, because at the end I give you FIVE steps on how to get your shit together so you can get [re]FOCUSED!

And if you can't figure it out, email me NOW to help you! Sandi@SandiBallard.com

Have a great week full of FOCUS!

Cheers!
Sandi
