From being a ballet dancer in South Africa, an actor in London, and a touring artist in a punk band for nearly 15 years– there is NO ONE with a journey quite like his. 

He exemplifies that the first step of your career does not need to look like the last step, and no matter where you are, or how long you’ve been doing something. You can ALWAYS make a creative pivot.

Not only that, he doesn’t sit inside the box or conform to the “standards” of the industry. How many other gay country singers wearing a fringe mask can you name? But it was exactly that which made him stand out.

A great artist to me is about so much more than just the music.It's the world building, the visuals, and artistry that truly make someone iconic.

Artists like Lana Del Rey, David Bowie, or Lady Gaga have developed entire artistic personas. Even outside of pop, we have artists like Tyler the Creator have an entire unique character they create for each album.

But trying to create an entire world when you're still a new artist can be SUCH a challenge when you haven't had years worth of albums, music videos, or press like magazine covers to build that visual identity.
