"Baby Reindeer" became a cultural phenomenon seemingly overnight. With minimal early buzz before its release, the Netflix limited series exploded and became one of the most talked about and praised shows of 2024, earning eleven Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. For many who binge-watched it, Episode 4 marked a turning point that took the already dark show to even darker and more complex depths, which resonated with audiences on a deeply personal and profound level. "Handling The Undead" had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its chilling atmosphere, subdued approach to the zombie genre, makeup effects, and performances. Making its premiere at Sundance over a year ago, "The Killing Of Two Lovers" is one of those independent discoveries that makes you excited to see what everyone involved will be doing next. That's because so many elements are well-thought-out and pronounced within the film to tell a story that feels familiar but is being presented in ways unlike we've previously seen before. Part of that is the richly layered performance from Clayne Crawford as the film's protagonist David and the unnerving sound work by Sound Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Designer Peter Albrechtsen.
