"The Tender Bar" is the latest film by George Clooney, which tells the simple but inspiring story of J.R. Moehringer (whose memoir the film is based on), who dealt with struggles related to his absent father and class. "Flee" had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and has been one of the films to most consistently play at various film festivals throughout the year, including Telluride, Toronto, and New York. A recent winner of the Gotham Award for Best Documentary Feature, the film is now finally playing in theaters for the world to see from NEON. And when the world does see it, we think they're going to be entirely captivated by the story of Afghanistan refugee Amin Nawabi, told through the style of animation by filmmaker Jonas Poher Rasmussen. In a move similar to 2019's "I Lost My Body," the French-language animated film based on the Japanese manga series of the same name by Jiro Taniguchi called "The Summit Of The Gods," premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival and was later acquired by Netflix. "Annette" premiered earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival and is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
