The Stonecutter Principle There’s an old story about a stonecutter whose job was to break massive rocks into usable pieces. Every morning, before the sun was fully up, he’d walk out to the quarry carrying nothing more than a hammer and a chisel. No heavy machinery. No shortcuts. Just his tools and his commitment to the work. He’d find a huge stone—solid, stubborn, unmoving—and begin. Swing. Nothing. Swing again. Still nothing. Ten strikes. Twenty strikes. Fifty strikes. No cracks. No sound of weakness. No visible progress. To anyone watching, it would look pointless. Like wasted effort. Like he wasn’t getting anywhere. But the stonecutter didn’t stop. He kept swinging. One hundred strikes later—still nothing. Then on the 101st swing, the stone split clean in two. Now here’s the key part of the story. It wasn’t the 101st strike that broke the stone. It was every single strike before it. Each swing weakened the stone just a little—so little you couldn’t see it. So little it didn’t feel like progress. But it mattered. Success Hotline - 973-743-4690, Dr Rob Gilbert Winning With Words, Zach Brandon, website: winningwithwords.beehiv.com

You can also go to the website neverstopgettingbetter.net Join us on this journey of continuous improvement, and let's strive to never stop getting better together!" Tyson Lee tysonplee@gmail.com Tyson Lee’s life began in Mississippi, born into a biracial family where his mother and father were never married. This complex family dynamic presented numerous challenges, as Tyson navigated a world marked by the struggles of a divided home life. Economic instability made it difficult, so he, his mother, and two siblings moved in with his grandmother before middle school. Tyson experienced hardship outside of the home when another man refused to let him date his daughter because of Tyson’s father. This rejection opened Tyson’s eyes in new ways. These early experiences of loss, compounded by seeing his mother sacrifice and work so hard to make ends meet and meeting a half-sister in his early twenties, pushed Tyson to chart a course for a different, more hopeful future. It also paved the way for understanding the importance of compassion for others in a broken and unpredictable world. Tysons resilience extended beyond his personal life and into his athletic pursuits. Despite his talent and work ethic, he was overlooked by college recruiters as a quarterback due to his height. Undeterred, Tyson received a full-ride scholarship to Itawamba Community College to play football and played for two seasons before choosing to walk on to the football team at Mississippi State University, where he earned his place as the starting quarterback. His journey on the football field was emblematic of his broader life experience: overcoming adversity and defying expectations through faith, determination, strategy, and the help of others. Throughout his life, Tyson has achieved remarkable academic, athletic, and professional success, including being the first ever player to be named a First Team JUCO All-American and an Academic All-American at Itawamba Community College (ICC), Region 23 Player of the Year, and an inductee into the Athletic Hall of Fame at ICC. As a team captain at Mississippi State University, he demonstrated leadership both on and off the field. He and his lovely wife started a cinnamon roll business which began in their house called LoveLee Rolls and they built a commercial kitchen in their backyard, moved their product into 2 states and over 25 grocery stores, and learned much about one another through late nights, early mornings and many farmers markets. Tyson has been in education for the last five years and he currently serves as the Head of Lower School at Veritas School in Richmond, VA. Yet, above all these achievements, Tyson values his role as a devoted husband and father of four. He attributes his journey and successes to the grace of God, underscoring the faith that has guided him through life's challenges and triumphs. His life speaks to the transformative power of the love of Jesus Christ, relationships, noble pursuits, and asking questions. He seeks to instill this same hope in the lives of others!

The General Sherman is, in fact, noted as THE largest known living single stem tree on Earth! It is 275 ft tall, 25 feet in diameter, and is approximately 2,500 years old. Something that huge must have an incredible root system that goes down deep in order to stand that tall. Not the case at all. The sequoia redwood trees have a unique root system that is a marvel, compared to their mammoth size. Their roots are relatively shallow. There is no tap root to anchor them deep into the earth. The roots actually only go down 6-12 feet, and yet, these trees rarely fall over. They withstand strong winds, earthquakes, fires, storms, and prolonged flooding. How can something up to 500 tons, reaching over 350 feet in height, and live for many centuries remain standing with roots only going down about 10 feet? The interesting thing about the redwood tree is that their root system is intertwined with the other redwood trees, literally holding each other up. The trees grow very close together and are dependent on each other for nutrients, as well. Only redwoods have the strength and ability to support other redwoods. So, beneath the surface of these humongous, tall, statuesque trees are roots like an army of men who have their arms interlocked, standing and supporting each other. They are preventing the adversaries of life from knocking each other down. They are also making sure there is plenty of nutrients for growth to continue.
