The Legend of the Blue Man of Spring Creek is not a commonly known story, but it goes all the way back to the 1800s and is worth telling. Although there have been quite a few arguments as to whether this is a bigfoot or something else, I'm inclined to think bigfoot. But that may only be a matter of my personal predisposition. Regardless, it's a story worth telling, and one I hope you'll enjoy.

White ladies and other ghostly entities have often been sighted along the roadside by late night travelers. I featured a few examples here, plus one story I remember from my childhood.

Here is the second installment of Snark Finn Soup. We've had a time getting audio correct and editing these videos. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the second half of the audio that prevented me from getting it edited in time to add to this portion, so we've decided to do this episode in two parts. In order to keep them together, it means that part 2 of this episode will also appear on this podcast rather than on its own. But that should be only a minor adjustment for you. We hope.

Meanwhile, we're exploring that strange and, some say, cursed land that we call Kentucky. More specifically, we're talking cemeteries there. And, oh my, what have we found. This could turn into an entire series all by itself.

This Halloween, I was fortunate enough to be joined by two of my favorite people, my boss, Cameron Buckner of Dixie Cryptid fame, and my beloved husband, Brad Harvey, in sharing these creepy folktales that have been shared around campfires for generations.

Tailypo has many other names, including Tailypoo, Po Taily, and Poly Tail. I know it as Tailypoo, but I couldn't see asking my boss to say poo, so I went with po.

Skinned Tom was new to me in that I had never heard it until I moved here to Tennessee several years ago. But it reminded me so much of those other lovers lane stories that I had to include it in this episdoe.

Bloody Bones is probably the first scary story I ever heard. In all likelihood, my sister, who was the one responsible for telling me my bedtime stories, told me this one before I ever left the cradle.

This is the inaugural edition of Snark Finn Soup. I decided to put it on the regular Podcast so that you might see it faster. After the second episode, it will get its own podcast, so you'll have to look harder for it.

I published a book a year ago. I'm down to my last few copies, and I highly doubt I will have more printed. So, I thought I would read the opening chapter for you. If you haven't bought yet, and you're interested, this would be a good time to purchase it. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.

It makes me crazy every time I hear someone credit Linda Godfrey with the word "dogman." First, I LOVE Linda Godfrey. She is dearly missed. But, she didn't come up with that expression. She coined the phrase, "Beast of Bray Road," that NOT dogman. So, I decided to try and figure out exactly where the word comes from. Here is my best effort.

I wrote this story a million years ago when I thought I was going to be the next Stephen King. It started as the lead story in a colleciton of short stories I wrote, mostly for the amusement of my sons and their friends. Later, I expanded it into a full-length novel, but it was never published, either as the a short story or as a novel.

Recently, my older son requested that I record and let all of you enjoy it as well. I had long since lost the originals (that's a story in and of itself, but best left for another time.) So, I had to re-write it. Frankly, I think this version is better anyway. I hope you enjoy it.

There are two legends in Georgia about a pig man. The more interesting of the two involves five hunters who were killed in 1829. The description given by the survivors suggests that a skunk ape killed them. But they described something with a pig's snout. Maybe that's how a gorilla's nose would look to someone who never saw one. Or maybe, the pig man is an entity unto itself.

When I was a kid, my dad told me a crazy story about something that happened to him when he was just a boy back in Arkansas. Being a kid, I took his word for law. It wasn't until I got older that I realized he saw something that most people don't believe in. In researching the topic, I learned that he wasn't the only one.

Back in 1819, when the first Europeans were exploring the area, something attacked them, tearing them apart. Was it a band of bigfoot? There have been several recent reports of dogman in that area. Perhaps that's what those met that fateful night, October 31, 1819.

Bigfoot has been a part of our lexicon since the 1960s. Of course, the first nations people have spoken of creatures like bigfoot since long before Europeans ever crossed their shores. They have a variety of names for them. Once in a while, a legend sneaks through without being reverted to the bigfoot standard. Is Judaculla just a Cherokee legend? Or is it a Cherokee bigfoot? You decide.

Before you discount this story, please know that it is NOT a collection of fan mail. Even if I got fan mail, and I don’t, I wouldn’t waste your time reading letters to me about how great I am.

While these letters do come, primarily from listeners, they’re not what you think. These are conversations I’ve had with people from all over the world telling about their own strange experiences.

Sadly, I think most people jumped to the conclusion that this was going to be me bolstering my ego, and the passed on it. However, judging by the statistics I get from YouTube, those who have listened, listened all the way to the end. That’s a rarity, by the way, for any YouTuber. And judging by both the comments and my email inbox, they loved it. So much so that I plan to do a part 2. I may even do a part 3. Let me know what you think.

Ghost Mountain is one of those places I came across while researching something else entirely. Someday I’m going to do an entire series on Pennsylvania alone. It has to be the most paranormal, UFO, alien, and cryptid saturated state in the union. Here’s just a sample.

Today’s story is a deeply personal one. It’s my own story. A lot of people have asked me to talk about my bigfoot encounters – such as they were. And I recently saw something at the Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky that I am still not ready to accept or put a name on. It seemed like the right time, so here it is.

I have a friend in England who keeps me abreast of a lot of the strange and creepy things happening there. In case I haven’t mentioned it before, and I highly doubt that, since I’m always telling people, I’m an Anglophile. I’m obsessed with everything British from the people and the music to the history and the geography. Furthermore, I love werewolf stories. I am deeply fascinated by dogman and werewolves and anything bipedal and hairy – you see some of the men I’ve dated. Combine werewolf with England, and I’m in sold.

I had a little fun with this one, throwing in a little Universal Horror movie trivia, and reminiscing about my deep love of those old movies. I don’t think I went too far off track. I hope you like it.
