It's Thursday afternoon, meaning a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast is back, edited, and ready to massage your earholes.

The guys started the podcast with a conversation about Friday's Oilersnation Open and how the boys are all incredibly excited to get the tournament underway. If you've never been to the ONO before, it's easily one of the company's most cherished days of the year, and the guys cannot wait to see everyone and spend a great day out on the links at the Millwoods Golf Club.

Changing gears, Tyler wanted to talk about his wings experience from last night and how he did not get a deal despite it being Wing Wednesday. Despite in-store advertisements saying the wings would be discounted, Tyler paid full price and has been rattled about it ever since. 

Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, the guys talked about the team putting the ice back at Rogers Place and how that means we're only weeks away from the boys being back in town. One thing the fellas noticed is that the Oilers are putting down their classic logo at centre ice while other teams decided to change things up a little bit.

After literally three minutes of Oilers talk, the guys worked through a random collection of topics, ranging from Tyler's drinking problems to his new fence to squirrel problems to why we're still paying for bags in Edmonton. Needless to say, it is basically impossible for this podcast to stay on track without being instantly distracted like goldfish.

The guys started the podcast with a conversation about pop after Tyler walked into the studio with a Kicking Back Cola. That led the guys to talk about whether or not they subscribe to the idea that off-brand colas are comparable to the originals. Thankfully, Inspector Chalmers was on the case and found research to confirm some of the myths about Kirkland brand items being the same as major competitors.

Talking about white labelling products led Chalmers to want to discuss Jeff Bezos's potential purchase of the Boston Celtics for upward of $6 billion. Considering the wealth Jeff Bezos can amass, the guys wondered what the team's future might look like and how he would plan to integrate their game-day experience into the Amazon orbit. Sticking with stadium talk, Chalmers talked about seeing Metallica on Friday night at Commonwealth and how that stadium is NOT equipped to handle the number of people it can hold.

Changing gears, the conversation moved to the Oilersnation Open and how the bidding on the auction to golf with the boys really got out of hand. Not only did the auction total go well beyond what anyone expected, but thanks to some quick thinking from Tyler, both bid finalists will be golfing because everyone felt bad if someone missed out. Needless to say, Friday's tournament will be an incredible day and the boys are very excited to hit the links.

It wouldn't be Monday without a fresh episode of the Real Life podcast to wrap up the day and walk through everything that's happened over the weekend, would it? No. That's the answer.

The guys got this week's podcast started with a discussion about video games. Chalmers' sons love playing vids, which led the boys to talk about teen slang and how nothing makes you feel older than not understanding what kids are saying. Chalmers then described how his kids aren't allowed to use social media, and it was interesting to hear the "why" they're not allowed. The logic made sense even though it's not a popular decision at the moment. 

Changing gears, Chalmers told a story about his bike getting stolen and how there's nothing anyone can do to get it back even though he has footage of the thief walking out of his garage. What's amazing about the heist was that his garage was only left unattended for 20 minutes, which was apparently plenty of time for Edmonton Danny Ocean to grab the bicycle and get away unchecked. 

Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast with some betting talk that looked ahead at the summer Olympics and the NFL season. Talking about football led Baggedmilk to seek some help from the audience to pick a team to cheer for that fits within his criteria of having cool uniforms, a fun stadium, the potential to be good, etc. Needless to say, this is a big decision to make with the NFL season coming up around the corner, and now the pressure is on to make a solid pick.

It's Thursday afternoon and the boys have nothing going on, which means there was plenty to talk about on the newest episode of the Real Life Podcast.

Kicking off the podcast, the guys jumped in with a conversation about Carnival of Champions. If you're not old enough to remember, Carnival of Champions was an event that the Oilers and Elks used to put on that gave Edmontonians a chance to interact with fans. For some reason, both organizations stopped doing the event back in the day and the guys spent a few minutes reminiscing about how the 90s were a wild time. Changing gears, the boys dove into the aliens news that was all over the internet yesterday after a whistle blower revealed in Congress that the government is hiding otherworldly items. Changing gears, the conversation shifted to sports documentaries as the guys had another conversation about the Quarterback series. The football talk didn't last long, though, as the podcast was overrun with more alien talk and what the guys would do if they ended up on Earth. Needless to say, there wasn't a whole lot of structure in the Thursday episode of the Real Life podcast.

Kicking off the Monday podcast, the boys got started with a conversation about Bogdan Yakimov after Kennedy found one of his jerseys at the Oilers store despite the fact that he only played one game with the team back in 2014-15. As a result, Wanye, Baggedmilk, and Kennedy took a little stroll down memory lane at some of our former friends that we put so much faith in despite never having seen them play. Changing gears entirely, Chalmers broke down a few fights from K-Days that popped up on YEG Wave, which led everyone to talk about whether or not the festival is even worth attending anymore. Somehow, this discussion about K-Days led Chalmers to wonder about 'Boy Dinner' vs. 'Girl Dinner' and how all of us enjoy a small snack dinner from time to time. Pivoting yet again, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of the podcast with a random list of nonsense that ranged from sports documentaries to Jackson Mahomes and everything in between.

That led the squad to talk about how it's nice to go back to concerts again just in general. We also heard about Kennedy's love of Harry Styles and how she was rattled about Leon Draisaitl seeing him perform her favourite song before she had a chance to see it.

Free agency is well underway, Chalmers showed up prepared with 10 topics, and that meant the boys had plenty to talk about on the 500th episode of the Real Life podcast.

Kicking off the Thursday edition of the Real Life podcast, the guys got started with an argument about the 500th episode as some of the boys didn't know it was a milestone episode despite Tyler warning everyone days earlier. From there, Chalmers got into his list of topics, starting with Rick Ross' struggles on the diving board. With that first topic out of the way, the guys pivoted to the NHL Draft as Tyler and Jay told a few stories from their time in Nashville and how it was interesting to experience the spectacle from the draft floor. With the boring draft stuff out of the way, the boys then talked about some of the shenanigans that happened behind the scenes in Nashville, including some run-ins with Biz, Craig Button, and Mark Messier. From there, the guys dove into the home run derby that's set to take place at RE/MAX field next week. After months of build-up, Jay is finally going to get his chance to hit a ball out of the park, prompting the guys to place a few bets on how this is going to go. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a rant from Chalmers about the new bi-law that requires stores to charge 15 cents for a paper bag when you order takeout.

The NHL Draft has come and gone, Kailer Yamamoto got traded to Detroit, and that meant the boys on the Real Life Podcast had a whole lot to talk about despite not really talking about any of it. 

Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with the story about Wanye missing the Monday show with food poisoning and how it was a heartbreaking event given where it all happened. Tyler and Jay are in Nashville for the NHL Entry Draft and Chalmers and Wanye forgot to show up for the Monday recording, which meant Baggedmilk put together one of the most random episodes of the Real Life Podcast in quite some time.

Seeing as I was in control of the Real Life Podcast since the boys were all away or forgot we record these every week at the same time, I invited everyone that was sitting around at Nation HQ to join me for a quick chat about life. Kicking things off, I started the Monday episode of the podcast with some stories about going to the Elks game last night and how I had a great time despite the team being generally terrible. That prompted me to ask the boys when the last time they went to Commonwealth Stadium was for a football game. That led us to talk about sneaking into events and how some places make it so easy provided that you walk in with conviction. Getting back to hockey, we looked ahead at tonight's NHL Awards that are set to take place at Bridgestone Arena and we took a few guesses as to who would win what and how proud we'll be of Connor McDavid when he inevitably expands his trophy case. Sticking with McDavid, we also touched on his engagement that happened over the weekend and took a few guesses as to who would be the best man at his wedding.

Your Thursday wouldn't be complete without a fresh episode of the Real Life podcast to wrap up your week, would it? Of course not. This week, the fellas covered Chalmers' approach to eating eggs, VLT strategies, and the MLB home run derby.

The guys started the podcast by discussing how Chalmers eats eggs and how they have to be made in very specific ways. But just as the guys started talking about breakfast, the conversation very quickly chanced to VLT strategies and how it literally makes no sense to think you're able to game the system. Changing gears, the guys talked about the horrible rendition of the national anthem that came out ahead of the MLB home run derby. If you haven't seen it, that anthem performance was unbelievable. Obviously, everyone found out about the singer's issues in the days that followed, but at the moment, those few minutes were unbelievable to witness. That led the guys to wonder what the most memorable anthem performances the fellas could remember were. 

Next, the guys talked about Bronny James' jersey sales numbers that came out this past week and how he's already paid for his guaranteed contract over the next four years. Even though plenty of folks don't think he deserves the kind of money the Lakers paid him, there's little doubt that basketball fans are intrigued by what Lebron's son will be able to do, and they're also willing to put their money down. 

Finally, the guys spent some time talking about the Oilersnation Open. Not only is the tournament one of the best events The Nation Network puts on every year, but it's also an opportunity to have a blast with your favourite internet friends while also raising money for charity. From

The NHL Draft is quickly approaching, free agency is too, and that meant the boys on the Real Life Podcast had plenty to talk about despite not actually touching on any of it.

Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys started with a conversation about how much swearing happens on the podcast and whether the guys should try and curb the habit. With the cursing discussion out of the way, the guys dove into the Titan submersible story that everyone is talking about and how it is a wild story to follow in every single capacity. That led the guys to talk about what activities they would avoid as a means of self-preservation. Changing gears entirely, Chalmers asked the listeners for some parenting advice as he is reaching a point in his parenthood where his oldest son is getting his first cell phone. The draft is a couple of weeks away, the Oilers rumours are flying, and that means there was plenty to talk about on the newest episode of the Real Life Podcast, but whether or not the guys actually get to any of that news is a different question entirely.

Kicking off the Monday episode of Real Life, the boys started taking bets on when Chalmers would show up given that he was the first one in the group chat this morning to discuss the show. Baggedmilk set the over/under at 4.5 minutes for how late Chalmers would be, and before the bids were even set, he strolled through the door to lock in the under. Getting back to business, the dads on the show recapped their Father's Day which saw everything from live music to weddings to playing dice despite the numbers on the die not having anything to do with the rules. From there, Chalmers went on a rant about the Stanley Cup parade from Vegas and how he thinks some of the boys were trying too hard. Somehow, arguing about pro athletes partying too hard led to Chalmers talking about how the people of Los Angeles are subsidizing the Los Angeles Country Club to the tune of $89 million. The Stanley Cup has been handed out, the offseason is officially underway, and that meant the boys on the Real Life Podcast had all the time in the world to talk about everything and nothing in particular.

Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a collection of nonsense that included Floyd Mayweather fighting John Gotti III for what seems like ridiculous money. Randomly, the guys then spent a few minutes talking about TSN 1260 getting shut down yesterday and how it was a very sad day for radio in our city. From there, the podcast turned into an array of nonsense that ranged from rappers' real names, Liam learning who John Gotti was, and the latest arrest for Boosie Badazz. Changing gears entirely, the guys welcomed UFC fighter, Mike Mallot, to the podcast to talk about his experience at UFC 289 and what it was like to have the Canadians go 6/6 on the night given that it was the first card north of the border in nearly four years. Capping off the interview, the guys took guesses for how long they could all last in the octagon before being forced to tap in a puddle of their own tears.

In fact, the trade talk actually revealed an issue that is building between Tyler and Chalmers after the latter ended up winning the NHL clip challenge that's been going on for the last couple of weeks. Is the podcast causing a rift? Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with 20 minutes worth of total shenanigans that were all over the map.

With no Oilers hockey in sight, the newest episode of the Real Life podcast had no structure and absolutely no set agenda whatsoever. If you're a fan of nonsense, this episode is for you.

Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys got started by introducing our new intern, Aleena, even though she really had no interest in being on the podcast. As you'll hear, the guys asked Aleena one question and barely let her answer before steering the show into the ditch. From unpopular food takes to Tyler's confession that he accidentally eats his own lip, the start of this podcast was an absolute disaster. Trying to get the show back on track, Aleena was finally able to get a couple of answers in about her journey in journalism and what it's been like to be an intern at The Nation Network. Changing gears, Jay finally got some clarity about when he'll be doing some batting practice at RE/MAX to find out once and for all if he can hit a ball out of the park. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with another random collection of topics that were as all over the map as the stories were incomplete. Needless to say, we've officially reached the off-season version of Real Life.

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a quick recap of the World Championships after Canada picked up a gold medal over Germany in yesterday's tournament finals. Changing gears, Tyler told a story about going to see his first ever comedy show this past weekend, leading the guys to talk about varying reasons they'd like to get drunk at West Edmonton Mall. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a hockey clip game after Electronic Jordan submitted a 19-second clip of an Oilers game from 2014 that both Tyler and Chalmers had to figure out based on nothing but the short video.

Next up, Tyler reopened his Words With Friends account for the first time in years to try and rekindle his relationship with Leah, his gaming partner for years whom he refused to interact with despite her best attempts. Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, the guys spent the next little bit talking about random Oilers players from the past after Wanye brought up his dream for a Nail Yakupov comeback tour.

From the COPA America Final to the Euro Final to Wanye taking his little man to Monster Jam for the first time, it was a busy handful of days in sports. When it came to Monster Jam, even though his little man was incredibly excited about the monster trucks, the experience was not the same for an adult. 

From there, the boys looked ahead at the MLB All-Star break and how no one cares about baseball's big weekend. Even though Tyler is a big baseball guy, he doesn't care at all about the all-star festivities. Finally, the podcast really devolved over the last 15 minutes as the guys ran through an array of topics that may or may not have always made sense. Then again, if you're listening to Real Life, that's kind of what's expected at this point, right?

The Oilers' playoff is officially over after a tough loss last night at Rogers Place, which meant there was plenty to talk about on the Monday episode of the Real Life podcast.

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a rant from Wanye after the Oilers got knocked out of the playoffs last night in Game 6. While Oilers fans everywhere are upset about the way the playoff run ended, Wanye tried to spread some positivity about the way things ended. For the other guys, however, it was pretty tough to find any silver linings after the Oilers took a real step back after making the Western Conference Finals a year ago. Then again, getting hurt is a huge part of being a sports fan, ya know? With the Oilers sadness expressed, the guys then discussed whether or not they'll be watching the rest of the playoffs or if Edmonton being out of the mix means it's time to do literally anything else. Getting away from the Oilers, Chalmers then told a horrible story about his toe that was one of the most shocking tales you will ever hear. The guys also discussed the rumour that the Oilers will be bringing Steve Staios in as their new general manager with the Ken Holland being bumped up to POHO. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Tuesday episode of the podcast with a story from Tyler about calling 911 after a random guy started following him in the Nation Truck and challenging him to a fight.

The Edmonton Oilers picked up a huge win last night in Game 4, and that meant the boys on the Real Life Podcast had plenty to talk about on the Thursday episode of Real Life.

To kick off the podcast, the guys got started with a look at last night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights and how it was one of the most fun games we've seen in quite some time. Not only did the Oilers come to play, but the game ended up getting spicy by the time all was said and done. For some reason, that led Chalmers to complain about the way Oilers fans sing the Canadian National Anthem. Why does he get annoyed about this? It's a fair question. Wanye also wanted to talk about Steve Urkel appearing at the game for some strange reason, and how his being at Rogers Place has many Oilers fans wondering what he was doing there in the first place. Getting back to the game, the boys discussed Darnell Nurse getting suspended for a game after being tagged with an instigator for his fight with Nick Hague in the final moments of last night's game. From there, the podcast fell off the rails as the guys started talking about old TV shows and how much it hurt them to have cast members swapped out midstream. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast with an array of topics that ranged from Tyler's soccer debut. Chalmers blowing his knee out, and Baggedmilk having his first double cheeseburger done up like a Big Mac.

The Edmonton Oilers made their way back home for the first time since Game 5 against the L.A. Kings, and I was very curious about how the boys would perform after being away for so long. 

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a recap of their trip to Vegas for the two boys that weren't able to be on the trip. Thankfully for those that heard the two on-location podcasts, the guys kept the recap quick as to not repeat the same stories over and over again. From there, Chalmers dove into a wild story about his kids after they accidentally bear maced themselves in one of the most chaotic scenes you'll ever hear. He also told the story of his missing iPad that is still up in High Level and how getting it back is proving to be incredibly difficult despite knowing exactly where it is. Changing gears entirely, the guys pivoted to talking about schoolyard games from back in the day and how the kids don't know what they're missing. Finally getting to the Oilers, the guys looked ahead at Game 3 and what Edmonton needs to do to keep the ball rolling and take control of the series. They also worked through a couple of bets they're putting down on the game, why they'll be cashing in, and offered a few more takes on what needs to happen to keep the ball rolling.

The boys wrapped their trip down to Vegas by recording a new episode of the podcast from their hotel room. To kick things off, they talked about how yesterday got going. The Las Vegas strip was loaded with orange and blue and the atmosphere outside of the arena was incredible. There were high-fives everywhere and almost every bar leading up to the arena was packed. The guys shared stories of the people they met and also, what they did to try and manifest an Oilers victory (hint: it involves wagering a lot of money on the team). Of course, they had some extra cash in their pockets thanks to a big win at the plastic ponies the night before. Things got derailed a little bit as they relived their big victory and talked about what they did to celebrate after. Then, they dug into the Oilers big victory. Leon Draisaitl is absolutely unstoppable right now, Evander Kane dropped the quote of the playoffs, and Connor McDavid is starting to wake up. It feels like the series has shifted in the Oiler's favour.

After the game, they celebrated the only way they know how: hitting up Freemont street. They talked about the cover band, their adventures on the famous street, and their strong run in the casino. It was another successful AMA Travel adventure and the guys were definitely feeling it this morning, as you can tell in the podcast.

Kicking off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the guys got started by recounting their travel day to Vegas and what it was like to fly down and experience a playoff game in a fantastic destination. Before getting to the hockey game, the boys discussed the vibes outside of T-Mobile Arena and how many Oilers fans came down to watch the boys play. Getting to the game itself, it was hard not to feel disappointed about the way things played out after Edmonton failed to bring their A or even B-game on the first night of this series. Whether it was the passes to no one in particular or the defensive gaffs that always seemed to end up in the back of the net, there is plenty of room for improvement for an Oilers group that surely expects more from themselves. Speaking of mistakes, we also dug into some of those errors and wondered whether they will mean lineup changes for Game 2. Needless to say, if the Oilers are going to even up this series, they will need to do a whole lot better in every facet of their game because what we got last night just wasn't good enough.

Changing gears, the guys looked around the NHL as there were a couple of dragons were slayed by underdog teams that no one expected. With Boston and Colorado going down in round one, the second round opens up quite a bit, at least in theory. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life with a look ahead at the series against the Vegas Golden Knights and tried to figure out what to expect from this next round.

The gang started the Thursday episode of Real Life by discussing Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle's wedding and how no one except Wanye is excited about it. Despite trying to get the boys excited about the Oilers' royal wedding, no one was buying what he was selling. Put another way, if the wedding was on TV, not one person said they would be willing to watch it. 

Changing gears, Chalmers went on a classic rant about people getting famous for absolutely no reason after the Hawk Tuah girl started to get upwards of $30,000 for an appearance. What does she do for such a massive fee? It's a fair question. That led the guys to wonder what the future will be for her once the 15 minutes of fame winds down. How long will it be until she has a podcast? How long will people even be willing to pay for appearances?

With Edmonton being as hot as it is this week, the guys talked about how they're handling the heat. From ordering air conditioners to upping the Slurpee consumption, dealing with the heat hasn't necessarily been easy but it is certainly preferable to what happens in the winter. Yet, on Better Lait Than Never, the informal poll Baggedmilk took was very much split down the weather about preferring the heat or the cold.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a random collection of topics, including Winston Churchill's daily drinking habits, John Daly's consumption during a round of golf, diving in soccer, and how many joints Snoop Dogg smokes in a day. Needless to say, the last 15 minutes of the show bopped around all over the place. If you love randomness, the end of the Thursday episode of Real Life is absolutely for you.

We’re calling this our playoff hype episode and to help us get fired up for the upcoming playoff run we brought former Oilers defenseman Ladi Smid back onto the pod to tell us why this Oilers team is built to go on a deep run. To start things off, they picked his brain and got some thoughts on the Oilers' blueline. Ladi is loving what he’s seeing from Mattias Ekholm early in his Oilers career. He also hit on the season that Darnell Nurse has been having and how Evan Bouchard’s game has turned around.

A new week has landed, the Nation's 15th birthday party is in the books, and the Oilers are rolling, which meant there was a whole lot to talk about on the Monday episode of the podcast.

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a recap of Saturday's Oilersnation birthday party and how it was an incredible day spent with hundreds of fellow Nation Citizens. From the moment the party started to when it wrapped up with a team dinner at Japanese Village, the guys recapped what was an incredible day for everyone in attendance and how grateful they all were to have everyone back at the Pint Downtown. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with Lars and Tim from Oilersnation Germany for another recap of their trip to Edmonton, including what it was like to meet Devin Shore after Thursday's game against the Stars. As you'll hear, the guys have been in town for three Oilers wins and a huge Nation viewing party, which is a stark contrast from the last time the group was in town ahead of the mayhem that kicked off in March of 2020.

From the 22-hour journey it took to get here to meeting Leon Draisaitl after the Oilers/Sens game to shutting down a curling rink, it was fun for the boys to listen to their experiences and how much fun they're already having over the first couple of days. Getting back to the Oilers, the squad previewed tonight's game against the Stars and how this is a huge matchup given that Dallas could end up being a first round opponent if the Oilers get stuck in a Wildcard. And after the Stars lost to the Vanucks 5-2 to kick off their road trip, you know they're going to be salty heading into Rogers Place and the Oilers will have to be ready for it. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a chat about sports franchises moving around, the NHL's probable/eventual expansion, and Jordan Binnington's nonsense in last night's game against the Wild.

A new week has landed and another #NationVacation is in the books, which meant there was a whole lot to talk about on the Monday episode of the podcast.

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a look at Psy after Wanye told Baggedmilk that he wanted to have a Gangnam Style button on the Rodecaster. That conversation somehow led to Baggedmilk talking about his favourite TikToker, The Whizzard, and how the stories never seem to end with this guy. Your Monday wouldn't be complete without a fresh episode of the Real Life podcast, would it? Of course not. This week, the fellas covered summer activities in Edmonton, expanding the Savannah Bananas, and whatever other random topics popped into mind as the recording wore on.

The guys kicked off the Monday episode of Real Life with a discussion about summer living in Edmonton and how it's time to get into other activities now that the Oilers are done. Talking about summer activities led Baggedmilk to talk about his love for the Edmonton Stingers after attending his first game of the season last night. Talking about the Stingers' success had the guys wondering if other leagues would benefit from adding zany activations as part of their game day festivities.

From there, the boys had a tough time keeping the podcast on the rails. As much as they tried to talk about single topics, they couldn't stick to any one thing for more than a few seconds. Tyler started talking about going to a movie with his niece, which somehow kicked off a conversation about the boys buying ice cream machines and trying military rations. Would it make sense to eat MREs for some Real-Life summer content? Yes.

Finally, steering the podcast back to the Oilers, the fellas talked about the team's Stanley Cup odds and how it's wild to see them so heavily favoured at this point. If you're into betting, would you put your money down on the Oilers as favourites or should you wait a little bit for the excitement to die down? The guys also talked how the Oilers can get cap compliant given that they're currently $354K over the salary cap with Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway left to sign.

The boys are in Toronto for a #NationVacation, which meant an emergency episode of Real Life to talk about the trip so far and what's to come for tonight's matchup between the Oilers and Leafs.

To kick things off, the guys started talking about their first 24 hours in Toronto and how the trip has been so much fun already even though getting here was initially delayed. Because of weather delays, the flight into Toronto was delayed but that didn't stop the crew from kicking off the weekend in a big way. The thing about these trips is that the people that join us are so much fun, so even when things don't go our way — like a weather delay — and we always seem to make the best of any situation. Looking ahead at tonight's Oilers game versus the Leafs, the guys could not contain their excitement as watching a game in Toronto from a luxury suite is a bucket list item for any hockey fan. The point of the story, of course, is that you need to come on one of these #NationVacations because they're an experience unlike any other. Lastly, the guys closed out this mini bonus edition of the Real Life podcast with some of the bets they're putting down as well as a few complaints from Tyler about Jay wearing his shoes in his bed.

As you'll hear, it's almost amazing that Tyler was able to pass the test with flying colours given that the exam itself was filled with such outrageous scenarios. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a little bit of Oilers talk as the boys get set to take on the league-leading Boston Bruins tonight TD Garden.

To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got started with a look at the Ja Morant situation that's playing out in the NBA right now as the 23-year-old star finds himself in hot water after an array of issues. If you don't know the story, the Ja Morant situation gets weirder and weirder as you find out more details, but to hear Chalmers recap the whole situation added an extra layer of hilarity. Changing gears, Chalmers spent a few minutes talking about the big UFC fight from this past weekend after Jon Bones Jones made his return to the octagon after nearly a decade away. Getting back to the Oilers, the guys looked at how Ken Holland did at the trade deadline and what everyone's first impressions are of the new guys. For a lot of Oilers fans, it's easy to fall in love with Mattias Ekholm and all of the amazing things he seems to be doing already. In other news, Jack Campbell's struggles continued again on Saturday after the guy allowed six more goals and cost his team the win. Seeing as there is no bottom with Soup's struggles right now, that led the guys to wonder how many more times Jay Woodcroft will play him over the final 18 games. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of the Real Life podcast with a preview of tonight's matchup between the Oilers and Sabres as they boys continue their road trip.
