Riley and Derek start off the show by discussing the Eastern Conference playoffs starting with the New York and Carolina series with the Hurricanes starting to come back and Evgeny Kuznetsov’s resurgence, while Rangers Vincent Trocheck and Alexis Lafrenière have stood out to Nasty. They move over to the Bruins/Panthers series with all the drama surrounding Brad Marchand and Sam Bennett, and the goalie interference calls. Shifting over to the West they discuss Edmonton and Vancouver with Cal Pickard getting a chance and making the most of it for the Oilers, and JT Miller turning things around under Rick Tocchet. Rounding out the West we have the Avalanche and Stars, Tyler Seguin changing his game over time, and Valeri Nichushkin’s recent suspension. Playoff hockey talks starts with the New York and Carolina series and former Hurricanes forward Vincent Trocheck’s overtime goal.
