It’s 2023 Mythic Earth Community, Happy New Year!

Episode 79 of the Mythicast is the first of the new approach we’re taking to our podcast. While we will still have our classic content such as the Sooch’s Gaming News, and Father Time’s Diet and Exercise segments, the regular banter will lead into much more detailed discussions on the Mythic Earth tabletop battle game.

This episode welcomes a first-time visitor, Chase Reinhard. Chase is a local gaming guru who can take pretty much any game he plays and find ways to win with his lists! He recently got way into Mythic Earth and showed up to the Mythicos Studio gaming hall with his “Dances with Wolves” Tribal Nation Force. And boy is his Force a sight to behold. 8 Units of Wolves, a Sachem, Medicine man, and two units of Mohawk warriors with clubs. Plus, he purpose built his magic-created woods on 140mm bases, so that he could place them when his Medicine man successfully cast his forest-raising spell! His Force looks amazing.

In this episode we also take a deep dive into the Unit Activation Dice Pool (UADP), and how players need to wrap their heads around the tactical considerations which the UADP creates. Very informative and worth it for anyone wanting to get a good handle on the early, mid and late game stages of every Mythic Earth battle.
