I was inspired to start this book club becasue I became a reader of books that inspired and motivated me. And I couldn't wait to share my ah-ha moments with my crew. 

What I realized is everyone doesn't have time to read the entire book, so I read them and you get the benefit of getting the keynotes to inspire, motivate and challenge you.

Why do I feel I am losing all my friends? 

I started getting back closer to God recently, and it has been rewarding but challenging all at the same time. I invite my friends to church, bible study, etc., and they don’t come or support me.  How do I stay friends with them but be triggered by their behavior it bothers me because I am changing. Do you have any suggestions on how to move forward?

Chapter 12: Finding Your Voice

·      Pg. 209 “Our voice is the ultimate threat to the enemy.”

·      “When God speaks, the enemy must flee. If the enemy can keep us intimidated by our circumstances and afraid of our light, then he can keep us silent.”

Personality Type 1- The Puller. Voice to help others overcome some area of hurt or pain. 

Personality Type 2- The Planner.  Wired for strategy…voice to show others a road map for accomplishing desire, objective, or goal. 

Personality Type 3- The Pusher.  Motivator and an encourager…voice to inspire others to believe in new possibilities and potential. Big thinker, dreamer, creator, catalyst, and visionary.

Ask yourself what God is doing.

1.     What life lessons do you now know? Business wisdom? Skills that you can teach others.

2.     What do you wish someone had told you back then?

3.     What impact would you like to have on others now?

4.     What do you believe at your core to be true?

5.     What is the one thing you want others to know- one thing that would give them hope, confidence, or clarity?

I am in a dilemma. I applied for a new job out of town without my husband knowing about it. Honestly, I was not expecting to get the job. I was just filling out a bunch of applications at once and didn’t realize this one was not local or remote until in the interview they mention will I be willing to move. I said , yes because the income to change our family dynamic. Fast forward. They offered me the job, but my husband doesn’t want to move. I want to take the job and then we can visit each other until he is ready to move.  Its fair to say he doesn’t want to move because he is heavily involved in his nieces and nephews lives because their father is not in their lives. 

Any advice for me?

I’ve been divorced for three years, and the dating pool is horrible.  My ex-husband has been dating, but in between him dating, we tend to sleep with each other.  I’ve only slept with him since we were married and divorced. I tend to justify that he is what I know and it’s easier to do it with him than someone new, but I have a hard time moving on. 1st pray for me and give me advice on what to do because I feel like I am stuck and used all at the same time.

-       I met my husband in college. Model in college. I learned to be on my own. Had my first daughter. Even though I was guided that way because my mom wanted the best for me, God still used it for my good.
