Brand Manager Takeaway: Last week I had a great call with Steven Pope. My client EZC Pak is constantly having hijackers and Resellers pop up both on and off their listings They're already enrolled in the transparency program They've been concerned to reimplement B2B pricing despite seeing B2B sales increase since we implemented back in Jan. Steven gave some helpful insights on how we can squash the issue (hopefully for good!) If Transparency hasn't resolved the issue, there must be an issue on the manufacturing/distribution level allowing resellers to get ahold of product with Transparency codes We have one of the strongest cases for brand gating; Let's see if we can get it done B2B pricing is safe to get up and running again while we continue to work on removing resellers as they arise. Our main focus should be assisting the client where we can on hijacker removal and finding the source of the products being resold. At the end I asked him what advice he'd give to someone who was just beginning their career and feeling a little lost on their path (Me!), and I wanted to share some insights gained from the conversation we had. Being indecisive about your career or passions makes you a 100% normal human being. Continuing to learn is ultimately what fuels your growth inside and out. Taking the time to free yourself from distractions and process your thoughts heals both the mind and the soul There is no one right way to do anything, continuing to be creative and adaptable will help reach your goals more than a highly detailed plan would. Deleting shipping plans after you've approved them Misrouting shipments Sending incomplete shipments, such as shipments that are in canceled or deleted status To avoid problems that can cause delays, follow these guidelines:
When creating a shipping plan, specify the quantity, content, and other information that might affect the distribution of the shipments. After approving the shipping plan, be sure to send the shipment to the assigned fulfillment center with the quantity and content specified in the plan. After approving a multi-destination shipping plan, do not delete any part of the shipment or send the shipment along a different route. Make sure your FBA box ID label is clearly visible. Communicate with your carrier to ensure that your shipment is delivered to the address on the FBA box ID label as soon as possible, no later than 30 days. Brand Manager Takeaways: Had a great 1-on-1 with Steven Pope last week! He is a really cool person to talk to in person! He gave me very good specific advice on how to improve the click-through rate (CTR) of images for a pet toy. One of the ASINs of the same client had a bad review, which caused a drop in sales and overall performance. Since this ASIN doesn't have many reviews, the negative review stands out clearly. Steven suggested that I ask the client to have a couple of friends purchase the product and write reviews. Although Steven advised that this is against the TOS, we could suggest it to the client and make it clear that it should be done subtly and only once, just to balance out the star ratings We also discussed pricing. The price of this product is higher than that of other competitors and requires a boost in sales velocity. Steven suggested lowering the price significantly, to the point of discomfort. 'Sales get more sales,' as the saying goes! I had a good time talking to Steven and look forward to receiving more feedback and knowledge from him.

Dimensional weight since Amazon is basing the FBA fee off of item weight or dimensional weight whichever is greater - dimensional weight is easy to calculate but people just make it way too confusing - it's simply L x W x H = X then divide X by 139 to get Y then you round to the next whole LB (a lot of ppl miss this part) - this is the weight that is used to calculate the FBA fee if using dimensional weight - so how do we use this info? you work backward to figure out if you can reduce your FBA fee by shrinking your dimensions slightly.. for example, if you have a product that weighs 2-3lbs but has the dimensions 16 x 9 x 3, your dimensional weight is 3.11 lbs (16*9*3 = 432 / 139 = 3.11) and because of that .11 lbs of extra-dimensional weight, you're bumped up to 4 lbs and the next pricing tier from $5.79 to $6.43 or $.64 more per unit or an 11% increase in fees.. so what do you do? you have to determine whether it's reasonable that you can shrink your dimensional weight to 3 lbs or less by slightly reducing your dimensions L x W x H to equal less than 417 (which is just 139 * 3). If you can shave just 1 or 2 inches off like 15.9*8.9* 2.8 = 396 / 139 = 2.85 lbs = bumped up to 3 lbs, not 4 - note dimensional weight is a factor in calculating your storage fees too.
NOTE: 18 x 14 x 8 is the Standard Size and if you exceed these dimensions, you're going to go into Small Oversized where the math is slightly different
Sometimes people want to know when they sent in a particular sku last, how many units were shipped in, etc but they think the only way is to go through the FBA shipments and find the last shipment for that sku.. Much easier/faster doing this - Reports - Fulfillment - Under Inventory - Received Inventory - simply enter sku and filter to date range wanted and it will identify all of the FBA shipments into the FC for that particular sku
How to see your estimated monthly storage fees for next month.. Reports - Fulfillment - Manage Inventory Health - in one of the very far right columns it gives you this amount - Momstir's estimate for November is $3164 right now.This is a good thing to know especially right now in the 4th qtr. This report also tells you ways that you can reduce your storage fees by doing certain things.
