Billboard has released a list of the top artists of the 21st century. The all-genre list rankings were determined by an artist's performance on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and Hot 100 Songs chart from Y2K to the end of 2024. Country music was represented with several high-profile acts, including Alan Jackson, who came in at number 99. Tim McGraw found himself in the top 60, while Rascal Flatts landed at number 48. Kenny Chesney came in at number 42 and Luke Combs is at number 40. American Idol winner, judge and country megastar Carrie Underwood came in at number 33. Kelly Clarkson landed at number 27. Crowd favorites Morgan Wallen and Post Malone landed at number 13 and four, respectively. Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO are settling into farm life. They just brought home three mini cows and a mini donkey. Unfortunately, they can't agree on a name for the donkey. Bunnie landed on the name "Grizz," while Jelly insists the name is "Donkey," like from Shrek! Well, I'm sure the burro doesn't care what they call it, as long as they don't call it late for dinner.   Jennifer Nettles is stepping down as the host for season three of "Farmer Wants a Wife." Taking her place will be Brad Paisley's wife, Kimberly Williams Paisley. No clear reason has been given for Nettles' departure. However, it would seem that she is really involving herself in music again as one half of Sugarland. Ashley McBryde was so starstruck meeting Reba McEntire for the first time, it haunts her to this day. It happened in 2019 when Reba snuck into a radio interview with McBryde. “I’m your biggest fan!” said Queen Reba. Ashley was petrified, she then “honked like a goose” at the country icon and managed a shy “hi” back. This isn’t the only awkward introduction the “Brenda Put Your Bra On” singer has experienced. McBryde claims she’s said “stupid things” to Patty Loveless and Morgane Stapleton too.   Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” is a playlist staple this time of year. Originally released in 1958, the song has gone platinum seven times! It is also the second-highest certified Christmas title behind “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and it just reached one billion streams last week. Jelly Roll's health journey has been extremely successful so far. He has set and reached serval lofty goals, including completing a 5k this year. However, his new goal is the most ambitious yet – appearing on the cover of "Men's Health" magazine by March of 2026. The "Save Me" singer is well on his way to reaching that goal, having already lost over 100 lbs.   George Birge has opened up about meeting his idol, George Strait. In typical Nashville fashion, the "Cowboy Songs" singer was with a friend on Lower Broadway when they popped into a member's only speakeasy. Only two other people were in the bar that night, The King and a friend. Birge got up the gumption to say, "Hi, my name is George too. I'm from Texas and make country music." Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve is going to be filled to the gills with country stars. Carrie Underwood was one of the first headliners announced for the popular New Year's party. HARDY, Ernest and Dasha will also be flexing their country chops on live TV. Lastly, Blake Shelton has confirmed he will be performing his new single "Texas" live from a Las Vegas stage. The end-of-the-year celebration kicks off at 8 p.m. on ABC on December 31.   Speaking of Sin City, Jason Aldean was on hand for the grand opening of Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Bar on the Las Vegas Strip. Celebrations included the county commissioner proclaiming December 5 as "Jason Aldean Day" and gave the country star a key to the city. Keith Urban fans rejoice, the "Long Hot Summer" singer is hitting the road in 2025! The High and Alive world tour is set to kick off on May 22. Supporting acts include Chase Matthew, Alana Springsteen and Karley Scott Collins. The US leg of the tour will stop at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre on July 17. General ticket sales start 10 a.m Friday, December 13.   The daughter of a country music legend now has her own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Rosanne Cash is the focus of the exhibit, which tells a fascinating story about the singer/songwriter who successfully blazed a trail outside of the traditional family legacy. Shining achievements include two chart topping albums and hit singles like "Seven Year Ache" and "Blue Moon With A Heartache." A casting call has just opened for "Dolly: An Original Musical." "I want to give you the chance to help bring my story to Broadway; whether you are an experienced theatre professional or an undiscovered gem with a little special something" the Jolene singer said in a statement. Applications are being accepted at the production's official website through January 12.   Right now, there are more country music videos at our fingertips than ever before. Here is a list of the top three most viewed country music videos of all time. First up is "Man, I feel Like A Woman" from country icon, Shania Twain with 450 million views. Next is "When It Rains It Pours" from Luke Combs with nearly 460 million views. Congratulations to Luke and Caroline Bryan who celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary over the weekend. The happy couple toasted with close family and friends out on the water, somewhere much warmer than Colorado right now. Of course, the party wouldn't be complete without everyone wearing matching t-shirts featuring a collage of Luke and Caroline over the years and the word "CAROLUKE" across the top.   In the near future, we might have a new country music neighbor. Brothers Osborne headlined the 98.5 KYGO St. Jude Jam last week at the Grizzly Rose. After playing a cover of "On The Road Again" by Willie Nelson, TJ Osborne announced that he was thinking about getting a second home right here in Colorado. "How about Evergreen?" he asked the crowd. He further explained his choice saying that if Evergreen was good enough for Willie back in the day, it was good enough for him as well. We love this plan. Luke Combs has made a big change to his lifestyle. In the past, Combs has talked about living with obsessive-compulsive disorder, or OCD. Unfortunately, over the summer, Luke was having really bad flare-ups with crippling symptoms. The "Hurricane" singer decided to do a deep dive into his health, and he's been able to manage some of his symptoms by going gluten free. According to Combs, reworking his lifestyle has changed his life for the better, especially his mental health.   A while back, Jelly Roll said when his current tour wraps for the year, he was going to throw his phone into the Cumberland River. You might have thought that was an idle threat, but he's made good on that promise. Congratulations to Zach Bryan and Shaboozey, who have been chosen for the Forbes "30 Under 30" list for 2025. The list is made up of some of the most influential young changemakers across different industries including sports, gaming, entertainment, education, social media and of course, music. Both Bryan and Shaboozey have had an incredibly massive year; with Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," spending 19 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.   Quickly, someone call Life Alert and sign up Ronnie Dunn, because he has fallen and can't get up. No, he didn't break a hip, but he did injure his knee after a nasty spill on the ski slopes. On the plus side though, he gets an eight-week vacation to heal up. As 2024 winds down for good, so will the full-time touring careers of several high-profile country performers. Here is a list of artists gearing up for retirement from life on the road. First up is Doug Stone, who said it's time to come off the road and have a home life to raise his seven-year-old daughter. Country comedian Ray Stevens has been preforming since he was 15 years old. Now at 85, he's ready to slow down. "I Swear" singer John Michael Montgomery is also stepping back from the road life. Lee Greenwood cited multiple health reasons for his retirement. After nearly six decades of touring, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band are scaling back their schedule. Retirement is at hand for The Oakridge Boys, who have suffered several losses over the last year, including singer Joe Bonsall. Last but not least is Alan Jackson. After 30 years of touring and multiple health issues that make it difficult for him to perform, he's ready to enjoy his twilight years with his family.   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

Darryl Worley shared a very positive update about his daughter, Savanna, who was recently involved in a head-on car crash. "Everything is coming along nicely," Worley said. Savanna still has a lot of healing to do, but she was back home to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family. The "Have You Forgotten" singer also expressed gratitude to friends and fans for their prayers and well wishes.   More and more country concert goers have no chill. In the last week or so, Zach Bryan has had to stop his performance multiple nights due to flying projectiles launched from the crowd. Then, during a concert in Tampa, Kacey Musgraves was grabbed by a fan so hard it spun her around. How has your New Year been so far? Well, things are moving very quickly for Matt Stell. Turns out, not only is he engaged to Kasey Harvey, they couple are already married! All of this happened while Matt, Kasey and their families were on vacation in Cancun, Mexico. The "Man Made" singer popped the question on the beach and then got hitched less than 24 hours later. Stell's mom called the whirlwind vacation their very own romantic Hallmark movie.

Riley Green is also having a crazy start to the year. The singer ended up in the ER after stepping on a nail while hunting. Needless to say, the injury wasn't too serious. I bet the tetanus shot hurt worse than the foot puncture. After getting the green light from the doctor to head back out hunting, Green and his buddy scored a impressive buck.

Parker McCollum had a huge surprise for a live crowd recently. Fans went wild when McCollum's wife, Hallie Ray, and son Major entered stage left. After introducing his family, the "Pretty Heart" singer said this was his three-month-old son's first ever concert and he "couldn't know less." Parker went on to joke that Major told him that he prefers Koe Wetzel over his dear old dad.   Ashley McBryde has been honored by her hometown of Waldron, Arkansas. The Chamber of Commerce proclaimed November 24 as "Ashley McBryde Day" and gave her a key to the city. There is also a shiny new sign along Highway 71 into town that says: "Welcome to Waldron, Arkansas, Birthplace of Ashley McBryde: Grand Ole Opry Member." Ella Langley didn't always have bangs. It turns out her very popular hairstyle was the result of an accident. The "You Look Like You Love Me" singer revealed that a while back, she was super nervous before a show and felt she need to trim the hair around her face. Unfortunately, she trimmed a little too much and was left with very short bangs halfway up her forehead. Thankfully, her stylist was able to fix the mistake and she thought she would eventually grow the bangs out. However, the singer realizes that her bangs are now a big part of her identity and she'll never be able to grow them out again, "They are permanently glued to my face...yay," Langley languished.   For those of us that have been wanting to see Carrie Underwood's critically acclaimed Reflection residency in Las Vegas, but couldn't afford the price tag, good news – the show is coming to Hulu! I don't really pay attention to People magazine much. Sure, I might see an issue next to the checkout counter and think, "Huh, that guy from 'A Quiet Place' is the Sexiest Man Alive." So, that is why it completely escaped me until like, last Friday, that Luke Combs was included on the Sexiest Man list. He was a part of the Sexy at Every Age category – where one man is picked for every age from 20 to 40 years old. Combs ended up being selected for age 34, and folks around the country star, including his wife, have not heard the end of it. Turns out, Combs wasn't the only country star to make the list. Hunter Hayes and Warren Zeiders were also chosen for their respective age categories.   Speaking of attractive people, several artists were asked who they considered the most attractive person in country music. Luke Bryan (trying to stay out of trouble) said Riley Green, who was also Bailey Zimmerman's pick. Pretty soon, the Sam Hunt family will be a party of five. Hunt confirmed he and his wife, Hannah, are expecting their third baby. The “House Party” singer said the news came while he was planning a hunting trip. His wife started getting morning sickness and needless to say, he had to rearrange his trip. There is no word yet on the baby’s due date.   Carley Pearce and Michael Bublé have released a new song together called “Maybe This Christmas.” According to Bublé, he wrote the song to bring hope to people who might be having a hard time, especially during the holidays. Back in October, Jelly Roll announced his plans to open a bar along the Honky-Tonk Highway. The venue, called Goodnight Nashville, now has official logo and social media pages that give us an idea of the bar's vibe – "Burgers, Spirits and Tattoos." That's a combination that could really lead folks to bad decisions. But, I'm sure if there is a tattoo parlor on the premises, there will be stern rules about not tattooing drunk people. So far, there is no official open date for Goodnight Nashville.   Bailey Zimmerman got really honest about his mental health over the last year. During a pre-CMA event, Bailey said even though things have been going great for him, he just couldn't feel it. Creatively, he was stuck in neutral and to get his head right, he's been spending a lot of time with family and doing things for himself. Former "The Voice" contestant Sundance Head has taken to social media to update fans on the injury that landed him in the hospital. On Friday, November 15, Head was preparing for a weekend of hunting. While he was setting up the campsite alone, there was an accidental discharge of his firearm, with the bullet striking him in the midsection. Even though the wound didn't affect any vital organs, unfortunately, the bullet is still lodged inside of his body.  Sundance said he's not sure if doctors will surgically remove it or not. The "My Soul" singer has been released from the hospital and now resting at home. He went on to thank everybody for their prayers and well wishes. Darryl Worley has extended a very serious request for prayers following a traumatic car accident involving his daughter, Savanna, which occurred on Sunday, November 17. Worley rushed home to Nashville from New Mexico upon hearing the 16-year-old was airlifted to the hospital with a broken leg, bruises and lacerations. We are sending all the healing thoughts and prayers to the Worley family.   Hot off the heels of releasing his first album in over a decade, Jamey Johnson has found himself in handcuffs. According to reports, Johnson was apprehended Sunday evening in Williamson County, Tennessee. Charges apparently include speeding and possession of drugs. The Williamson County DA confirmed the arrest and said the incident is under investigation.   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

It's raining country music babies! HARDY and his wife, Caleigh, recently announced they are expecting. And, now they have shared their cute and simple gender reveal. In the couple's carousel of photos, we get a sneak peak of the baby's nursery with so-to-be pink walls. Yep, the Hardy's are having a girl. Caleigh gushed about her husband saying he will be the best girl dad.   Taylor Kerr of Maddie & Tae just welcomed her second baby on October 29. Even though the new baby boy arrived a little early – weighing only 3.5 lbs. and currently in the NICU – mom and dad have confirmed he is thriving and can't wait to bring him home soon. Also, it's clear from a ridiculously cute video shared by Tae's husband Josh that their older daughter Leighton is particularly excited to be a big sister.   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

Congratulations to the king, George Strait, as he will be receiving the 2024 Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement CMA Award. I don't think anybody in country music will argue that Strait hasn't earned this honor – with 60 number-one singles, 17 CMA wins, 83 CMA nominations and 70 million albums sold. This year's ceremony will definitely be one to watch (even if you are not really into award shows), because the George Strait tribute will be worth it.   Michael Ray is the latest country artist to be victim of crime in Music City. Ray recently shared a picture of his truck with a smashed window. He goes on to slam the "New Nashville" saying "You can't even park your truck without some lowlife breaking in." Dasha is starting her year off with a bang! The rising country star is putting the finishing touches on a new album she plans to drop in the coming weeks. The news follows the release of her latest single, "Heartbreaker from Tennessee." The "Austin" singer said she is excited to share her new material and she can't wait to perform for fans throughout the spring and summer.   Zach Bryan's Quittin' Time Tour was the highest grossing country music tour of 2024, raking in $321 million dollars. And now, the mega star is spreading the wealth around. According to a viral TikTok clip, Bryan apparently left a waitress a $3,000 tip. Trisha Yearwood and the Susan G. Komen organization have announced the inaugural Band As One Nashville – Concert for the Cure. The event will bring together some of country music's biggest stars to raise funds for those impacted by breast cancer. Although the full lineup hasn't been confirmed yet, we do know Yearwood will be the headliner. There are a few clues as to other artists who might make an appearance, though. The presenting sponsor is JBJ's Nashville and one of the opening sponsors is Miranda Lambert. So, that could be an indication that John Bon Jovi and Miranda will be popping into the charity show March 26 at the Ryman Auditorium. Here in America, Dolly Parton is country music royalty, and she recently opened up about a missed experience with the future Queen of England. Last year, Dolly was invited to tea with the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. Unfortunately, the "Rockstar" singer had to turn down the invitation because her schedule was too busy. However, Parton would like to make up for her absence by extending a formal invitation for the royal family to visit her kingdom in the hills, Dollywood. The "Jolene" singer said she would love to host the esteemed guests. The kids could check out all the rides and she would serve up her famous "mushed taters." The 2024 CMA Awards are a week away, and this year's performance lineup has been revealed. Lainey Wilson and Luke Bryan will be pulling double duty as they are both hosting (along with Payton Manning) and performing. Post Malone is slated for two solo performances and will team up with Chris Stapleton for their duet "California Sober." Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims will perform "Something About A Woman" and "Lose Control." Dierks Bentley will take the stage with some of the most talented young bluegrass artists (like Molly Tuttle) for his cover of "American Girl." Last but not least, Shaboozy will rock the crowd with his smash hit, "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and his latest release, "Highway." Singer and former "The Voice" contestant Jay Allen is kind of an intimidating dude. He's pretty muscular and covered in tattoos. However, according to Allen, none of that mattered when he was held at gunpoint during robbery at Nashville grocery store. He confirmed via social media he was, "Okay overall except out a few bucks." He admitted that he felt helpless, taken advantage of and mad at himself more than anything. Allen has since purchased personal protection mostly because he never wants to feel that vulnerable again.   Priscilla Block admits that she probably overshares her life on the internet. However, there is one this she keeps close to vest – the identity of her long-time boyfriend. Her biggest reason for being so guarded is because people on the internet aren't always nice and try to tear apart good things. Josh Turner has had plenty of memorable shows, however, one of his latest was out of this world! Turner and his team were invited by NASA to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. But this wasn't just a run-of-the-mill visit, Turner had the opportunity to perform “Two Steppin’ On The Moon” for the astronauts currently living on the International Space Station. Talk about an inter-stellar show!   Carly Pearce decided to face a childhood fear, riding the Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida. The "Hummingbird" singer said the last time she visited the park at 11 years old and she was too scared to ride it. Keith Urban is weighing in on what he considers the best country song ever written, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones. In Urban's opinion, that song is a great example of when great writing and a great performer come together and create magic. Even though it's the Aussie's favorite song, he won't be covering anytime soon. Urban feels like no one can match Jones' energy, feeling and passion.   Congratulations to Randall King, who just got engaged to longtime girlfriend Brittany Warthan. The couple shared the news in a joint social media post with a carousel of photos on a beach. "There's a lot of miles in front of us and I want only you by my side to take this life head-on and make it ours," said King. It is always a gamble scheduling concerts this late in the year at Red Rocks. Unfortunately, Dustin Lynch is learning that the hard way. His debut headline show has been rescheduled for April 16. The press release states the reason for postponement is the forecasted inclement weather, and safety is a top priority. Tickets for the November 6 concert will be honored at the new show or a refund can be requested within 30 days through the AXS support form.   Carrie Underwood is getting real about her lifestyle. She takes pride in staying fit and making healthy food choices. She doesn't even indulge in cake on her birthday, she gets stacked wheels of cheese instead. Gabriel Iglesias has said that folks, "Don't find country music, country music finds you. Country music knows when you're sad, weak and vulnerable and need something to fill the void." I think a lot of us can agree that country music makes us feel better. And that's not just opinion, it is a measured fact. A study done by Tebra looked into the types of music for positive mental health. According to the results, people who listen to country and reggae reported the strongest mental health, with 52 percent of each music fandom indicating strong wellbeing. In contrast, listeners of indie, alternative and heavy metal reported the worst mental health. You can't argue with science, folks. Dolly Parton is being honored by the U.S. Department of State and the Recording Academy with the PEACE Through Music Award! The Recording Academy CEO said the "9 to 5" singer is a perfect representation of the spirit of the award because, "For generations, she's embodied the true meaning of inclusion, togetherness, understanding and service to people."   Reba McEntire has shared a hilarious story involving her mother who passed away of cancer four years ago. The "Fancy" singer revealed how, while her mom was in treatment, THC gummies were part of her pain management plan. Before bed one night, Reba helped her mom with her medication including giving her half a gummy. Well, curiosity got the best of the country queen and she ate the other half. Later, when her mama woke up for a bathroom visit, Reba threw back the covers to get up and it was then that she knew she messed up. Kasey Musgraves opened up about a scary encounter that happened at her house. The "Rainbow" artist explained that she and a couple friends had stepped out on her front porch barefoot. Suddenly her guardian angel, I mean blue heeler, Pepper, jumped in front of her and saved her from stepping on a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, Pepper was struck by the rattler and was rushed to the vet. Musgraves confirmed Pepper is back home recovering and getting lots of love.   Bailey Zimmerman has been looking for a furry friend for his golden retriever, Marley. Well, a few weeks ago he found the perfect puppy named Pie. After bringing Pie home, the puppy got really sick. The "Religiously" singer said the vet diagnosed Pie with parvo and began treatment. According to Zimmerman, Pie is doing great and will make a full recovery! Also, Bailey confirmed Pie and Marley have become fast friends.   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

Elle King has shared a very personal song called “Banned from the Grand Ole Opry.” The tune reflects on her headline-grabbing 2024 performance for “The Opry Goes Dolly,” which ended very badly. The “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer expresses regret for her actions that night and goes on to name drop other high-profile country acts who were also banned from the Opry like Hank Sr., Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. Since that fateful night, Elle has put a lot of energy into turning her life around for the better.   Remember Warren Zeiders stopped by the Kelly Clarkson show and there was obvious chemistry? Well, Zeiders would like to turn that chemistry into something more – musically, at least. The “Ride The Lightning” singer told People magazine that if the right material came down the line, he and Clarkson would make a great collaborative team. Indy country artist Joshua Ray Walker is being treated for colon cancer. About a month ago, he underwent his second surgery which he said kicked his butt. However, Walker posted a positive update saying, "As far as my doctors can tell, there is no discernible amount of cancer anywhere in my body at the moment." Even though remission is five years away, Walker is feeling really good. So good, he's planning a few shows for 2025.   Brett Young concerts are usually pretty laid back. Unfortunately, his recent crowd in Detroit didn't get the chill memo. Several fights broke out during Young's show, which proved too distracting for the "Mercy" singer. After stepping of stage to cool down, Young returned and told the crowd, "I give you full permission, and I can't believe I'm saying this, to not get into any more fights tonight."   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

Country music's biggest artists and fans gathered together for an extremely good cause. Concert for Carolina was a smashing success. Much of the benefit show was organized by Luke Combs and Eric Church. The sold out show drew a crowd of over 82,000 people to the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 26. Other artists who performed that night included James Taylor, Billy Strings, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice and Parmalee. The massive event raised more than $24.5 million in relief funds. That incredible sum will benefit families and communities affected by this year's hurricanes through organizations such as Samaritan's Purse, Harvest Food Bank of North West North Carolina and the Chief Cares Foundation home building initiative called "Blueprint for the Blue Ridge."   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

Alana Springsteen and her band had to cancel a string of shows over the weekend due to a terrifying bus fire. Springsteen took to social media to document the ordeal, saying she was beyond grateful that everyone escaped unharmed. However, their equipment and belongings were not so lucky. The "Ghost In My Guitar" singer posted a follow up saying she and her crew are doing well and they will be back on the road as soon as they can.   Congratulations to Old Dominion, who were honored with the Angles Among Us Award, which commemorates the group’s longtime commitment to the mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The band was so moved during their first visit to the campus, they made it a priority to support and spread the message of the lifesaving work being done at hospital and research center.   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

Kelsea Ballerini is in her Phoenix Era, and she'll be flying high over the U.S. embarking on an arena tour next year. There are thirty cities on the Kelsea Ballerini Live tour, which kicks off in January and wraps up March 30, here in Denver at the Ball Arena. General tickets sales start Friday, November 1, at 10 a.m.   Henry Winkler stopped by "Live with Kelly and Mark" and revealed he is a big fan of Jelly Roll. So much so, The Fonz wrote a fan letter to "Mr. Roll", not really thinking he would get a response back. But if we know Jelly at all, he is a big teddy bear and recorded a video thanking Winkler for the letter. The "Save Me" singer also admitted that he had the letter framed and it's hanging on his wall at home.  Keith Urban and Luke Combs' wife, Nicole, have an interesting shared connection. Urban explains he has a dad joke he tells when meeting a Nicole for the first time. He'll say, "Wow this is crazy, I just met you and I have your name tattooed on my arm!" Well, he used that joke when he met Nicole Combs and she said, "Well actually, I am named after your wife." Turns out Nicole was born in 1992, which was the height of Nicole Kidman's fame in "Days of Thunder." The revelation left Urban speechless.   Speaking of interesting intros, Bailey Zimmerman opened up about first meeting Post Malone. It happened at Stagecoach Festival. After stripping down to his skivvies and throwing his clothes into the audience, Bailey ran back to his bus where he saw Posty nearby. On Sunday, October 20, Toby Keith was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. His 30-year career was highlighted during the medallion ceremony, where friends and fellow artists took the stage to sing a few of Keith's most iconic songs. Eric Church performed "Don't Let the Old Man In," and Blake Shelton sang a medley of "I Love This Bar" and "Red Solo Cup." Toby's wife, Tricia, was on hand to accept the medallion on her husband's behalf. During her speech, she recognized her husband's selfless pursuits such as the Toby Keith Foundation, Kids Korral and unwavering support for U.S. military members. Tricia went on honor Toby's career saying, he was "a songwriter first and foremost," and that Keith didn't just sing the songs he wrote, "He was those songs." Pop and Rock n Roll legend Ringo Starr is going country. Next year, the former Beatles member will be releasing an eleven-song record called "Look Up." The new album will feature collaborations with Alison Krauss, Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle. The first single, "Time On My Hands," is available for streaming now. Interestingly, this is actually Starr's second career country record. His first dates back to 1970 and was called "Beaucoups of Blues."   Kelsea Ballerini has released the official music video for her song, "First Rodeo." The beautiful video features a very special guest, Chase Stokes. It was a no-brainer casting Stokes. Aside from being her boyfriend, he is also a professional actor. Plus, the song itself tells a personal story of Ballerini letting herself be vulnerable and getting a second chance at love (with Chase) after her first rodeo ended in heartache.   I'm Sheena, and that's your Music City Minute.

I imagine Morgan Wallen is waking up this week feeling pretty good. He's been busy with fundraising and food collection efforts for hurricane relief. On Friday, October 18, Wallen released his latest heartbreak song, "Love Somebody." And, looking onto the future, the "Whiskey Glasses" singer is curating a fan experience like nothing he has done before. Wallen is launching a three-day music fest called 'Sand In My Boots Festival.' The multi-genre event will be held on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, on May 16, 17 and 18. As per the press release, all of the performers and experiences were hand-picked by Wallen himself. Congratulations to HARDY and his wife, Caleigh — they are expecting their first baby! HARDY initially broke the news at a No. 1 party for Kenny Chesney's "Take Her Home" (which HARDY helped write.) Later, the soon-to-be mom and dad shared their big news with a carousel of photos that were captioned; "Baby HARDY arriving February, 2025!"

Blake Shelton teamed up with an organization called 'Music Will,' and together, they donated $5,000 worth of musical equipment to his hometown high school in Ada, Oklahoma. During the donation presentation, the Austin singer explained how important music is and he was honored to help give the kids this opportunity.

Luke Combs is being inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame! The "Lovin' On You" singer will be receiving his star along Nashville's Music City Mile landmark during the induction ceremony on October 30. The timing of this honor couldn't have been better because just three days later, on November 2, Combs will celebrate the grand opening of his venue Category 10!   On November 28, 2025, The Grand Ole Opry will be turning 100! In celebration of the centennial birthday, a new book called "100 Years of The Grand Ole Opry" will be released on April 15. Some of the hottest tickets in the last 12 months were for country music concerts. Here are the top ten grossing country tours in 2024, according to Billboard Boxscore. At number 10 is Luke Bryan, who played 39 shows that grossed just under $40 million. Shania Twain's tour brought in $40.5 million. Jelly Roll's massive tour earned $41 million. Tyler Childers' road show grossed $52.5 million. Tim McGraw's tour raked in just over $53 million. Coming in at number five is Chris Stapleton. His 40-date tour brought in close to $90 million. The King, George Strait played eleven stadium shows, which grossed $125 million dollars. Speaking of stadium shows, Kenny Chesney's 34 shows grossed nearly 160 million. Luke Combs' shows brought in nearly $174 million. Finally, at number one is Zach Bryan. Lainey Wilson announced she will be headlining the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show. She promised a great show that will keep fans on their toes. The "Hang Tight Honey" singer also teased she has a special guest lined up to join her for the performance.   Jelly Roll revealed he is opening a bar along Nashville's famed Lower Broadway. The venue will be called "Jelly Roll's Goodnight Nashville" and will include a special back bar called "Buddy's" in honor of his father. Brantley Gilbert is currently on his "Off the Rails Tour," and that title ended up being prophetic. On Friday, October 11, Gilbert was called off stage in Tupelo, Mississippi, and was gone for about an hour according to fans. Visibly emotional, the "Bottoms Up" singer returned to the stage and announced, "We got a baby, Mississippi!" Gilbert confirmed his wife, Amber, had given birth to their third child on the tour bus. After the initial shock wore off, Amber apparently told her husband, "Now get your [butt] back to work!" In a beautiful post that included a picture of mama and the new baby, Brantley thanked his road family for helping bring their son into the world. Jamey Johnson has signed a new record deal with Warner Music Nashville. Also, he's releasing his first album in 14 years! "Midnight Gasoline" will drop on November 8. The album was written and recorded at the famed Cash Cabin in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and is the first in a series of Cash Cabin recordings. Johnson opened up about recording at the legendary studio. In order to stay in a creative space, he parked his bus outside the studio and lived in it for three weeks.   Gary the sheep is at it again on Carrie Underwood's farm. Gary is a ram with a really bad attitude. He was featured again in her Instagram stories. This time, he was hassling the world-famous singer instead of his pasture mates. Gabby Barrett is a busy lady. Last week, she had a night off from touring and attended the 55th annual GMA Dove Awards in Nashville. While on the red carpet, Barrett revealed she is releasing her first gospel single, "Jesus on a Train." The "Pick Me Up" singer feels she is at a point where it is important to show her identity as a Christian. Not only that, but she is comfortable balancing country and gospel music. She loves being country music singer, but being Christian is her identity. Her music reflects the way she lives and what she talks about. Gospel and music aren't the only things Barrett and her husband are excited to share with folks.
