031 Wrongfully Imprisoned: The Stammer That Made Him Look Guilty28 Aug 202301:03:29

Send us a text

In this episode, we delve into the personal and harrowing journey of Sean Parker, a man who found himself falsely accused of sexual assault and subsequently imprisoned. As he recounts his personal journey, Sean bravely confronts the challenges he faced throughout the legal process, including the obstacle of his stammer, a speech impediment that left him immensely disadvantaged in court. Compounding the complexity of his situation was the backdrop of the #MeToo movement, which fueled further challenges and biases against him. We explore the impact of these events and the broader issue of the perceived unfairness within the judicial system when it comes to men and cases of sexual abuse. Through Sean's courageous narrative, we gain a deeper understanding of the profound repercussions that such false allegations can have on an individual's life.
