My guest this week is Jinyu Chen, a final year veterinary student based in Edinburgh.
What does it mean to be a migrant? What does it mean to leave your home,your family, your friends and your language behind?
Everyone migrates for a different reason.
Some voluntarily, to learn new languages, gain new perspectives or earn a better salary.
And others involuntarily, to flee prison, death, environmental disaster, or simply to go somewhere, where they stand a chance of providing a life for their friends and family.
But there is one reason that links migrants: No matter who you are, you migrate in search of a better life.Today, we hear so much about migration.
But we never hear from the migrants themselves. So let’s try and change
that shall we?
