While it is absolutely true that the market has changed, not all businesses are struggling right now. Those of us who understand business and have done the work to build brand equity, solve real problems and offer SPICE solutions aren’t concerned about the market changes. Yes, there are tried and true strategies and insights that can position you to build a business that is absolutely market agnostic, meaning it doesn’t matter what the market is doing, you will continue to grow and thrive. .  When you understand how to operate your business accordingly, you will continue to see growth when others see constriction. When sales cycle slow because buyers become more discerning, it’s important to understand how to navigate your business so that you don’t find yourself questioning if you’ll be part of the 10% that go out of business each year. I had a brilliant discovery during Move to Millions Live as it pertains to money and how many of our attendees see it, themselves, and God.  If you have been following me for any amount of time you know that I have a healthy LOVE for money (yup I said it) and I love talking about it.  My goal is to normalize money for those who I come into contact with.  

Now, before you hit me over the head with the I Timothy scripture, hear me out.  In fact, join me for a little Bible study.  That’s right; you’re going to need your Bible for this episode.  In this powerful episode, I have one mission.  My mission is to help you to truly understand the scripture and invite you to shift your own relationship with money to one that is loving because, as I will share in the episode, the love you hold naturally in your heart is not the love Paul warns of in this scripture.

There is a reason that God talks about money more than Heaven or Hell – yes, God speaks of money more than 2,300 times in the Bible. And the frequency is tied to how God wants to you to see yourself, Him and money. Ask yourself this question: Are you so afraid to have a loving and respect-filled relationship with money that you’re not opening up space to align to your wealth and abundance birthright? If you were raised in and around church, this scripture is burned into your subconscious; but I would be willing to guess that it is causing more harm than good because, as I will show during Bible study, it has you confusing love.  If you are silently nodding your head “yes,” you wouldn’t be the only one.  So many entrepreneurs and small business owners who are truly millions-minded have a deep-seated fear that having more money will put them out of right standing with God.  That misnomer STOPS TODAY. If you are a business owner who desires to make the move to millions, my advice to you is simple - expect disruption on every side. As my guest in this episode, Dr. Erica Jordan-Thomas, so eloquently states, "disruption always precedes transformation." When I was a little girl, my father used to remind me on a regular basis that I was likely to be underestimated.  And he was right.  More than I care to admit, from time to time in high school, college and corporate America people would take a look at me and make an assumption that I got so much joy in proving to be wrong…. It happened again recently at the bank. And it got me so fired up that I decided to create a WHOLE podcast about it. Because if you are a woman and/or woman of color I can guarantee that you’ve been underestimated before and you likely will be again. Getting your business to the million-dollar mark as a woman and/or entrepreneur or business owner of color will cause many to look at you as if they don’t believe that you’ve actually done it.  I mean, the statistics say that less than .5% black women and only 2% women total ever make it to the million-dollar mark. As a result of the statistics, the odds and people’s belief will be stacked against you.  And when that happens, I want you to have some ammunition to prove them wrong.  I’m not gonna lie, I enjoy being underestimated because I get so excited about demonstrating just how wrong people were about me!  This episode is filled with tips and strategies of how to navigate what is sure to happen at some point on your move to millions if it hasn’t already.  My goal is that as you listen you shift from underestimated to unstoppable. How to PROFIT $1,000,000 In Your Business29 Jul 202400:25:39

For the record, it is a big deal to generate $1,000,000 or more in revenue in your business. If you have accomplished this, you should be very grateful and proud of your accomplishment.  You are a belief barrier breaker.  But let’s be clear, the goal is not topline revenue success, it’s bottom-line revenue profit.

While there are 4.2% of US based small businesses that generate 7 figures or more each year according to several sources, we have no real idea what percentage profit 7 figures or more. I do believe it’s safe to say that if only 4.2% are generating topline revenue at this level, considerably less are profiting at this level. And let’s not forget that the statistics for women-owned, black-owned and black-women owned are considerably less at 1.9%, .9% and .5% respectively, so you can see why an episode like this is a disruptor.

In this episode, I share the formula that we have personally used to profit $1,000,000 for the last few years in our business.  Now, I have to be honest; to pull this off, it’s going to take some serious understanding of your numbers – i.e. your pricing and expenses and how much you can actually set aside as profit at the transaction or programmatic level.  Sadly, most entrepreneurs aren’t at a place where this is even a remote possibility for them.  In our PROXIMITY, a Move to Millions Mastermind, we equip our clients to scale to and sustain a business that generates 7 figures a year and profits 7 figures in 1-3 years.   That’s right; it’s going to take some time and clear systems and infrastructure to achieve this, but it is entirely possible.

Part of the reason I am a big advocate for normalizing wealth and legacy is because I honestly believe we should leave those who are left after we transition with more than memories. At minimum, we should make sure that they aren’t burdened in trying to settle our affairs.
