This week on More Girls Next Door, Megan revisits Season 3, Episode 5, Calendar Girls, originally aired on April 7, 2007.

Instead of another Mansion party or celebrity-filled event, this episode takes us behind the scenes of the 2008 Girls Next Door calendar, where Holly, Bridget and Kendra are finally given the freedom to create four calendar months that reflect their own personalities.

Holly plans the elaborate Marie Antoinette birthday party of her dreams—but between Hef’s sacred Movie Night schedule, Kendra’s last-minute costume crisis and one extremely unlucky custom cake, Versailles starts looking a little less than perfect.

This week on More Girls Next Door, Megan revisits Season 3, Episode 3, Let Them Eat Birthday Cake, originally aired on March 17, 2007.

Holly transforms the Playboy Mansion into an eighteenth-century fantasy filled with powdered wigs, French food, towering hairstyles, custom royal portraits and enough ribbon to wrap a midsize SUV. Bridget creates another perfectly coordinated gift basket, Hef surprises Holly with a hot pink Playboy golf cart, and the Mansion staff commits so fully to the theme that even Guest Services ends up in powdered wigs.

Meanwhile, Kendra waits until the day of the party to find a costume, rejects the Snow White dress Holly offers her and somehow turns an old pirate outfit into something that almost works. Christmas arrives at the Playboy Mansion with thousands of lights, personalized gifts, an adopted family in need and $10,000 worth of real snow covering the front lawn.

In this episode of More Girls Next Door, Megan recaps The Girls Next Door Season 3 premiere, “Snow Place Like Home,” which originally aired on March 3, 2007.

Holly and Bridget throw themselves into creating the perfect Mansion Christmas, from assembling gifts for a family whose home was destroyed by fire to convincing Hef to transform the Los Angeles estate into a winter wonderland. Bridget enters full Christmas-production mode, Holly reflects on gratitude and family, and Kendra attempts to wrap presents before gifting Hef one of the strangest novelty items ever featured on the show.

But behind the cheerful editing, the day reportedly unfolded very differently. According to later accounts, one of the girlfriends isolated herself from the group, criticized  merry traditions and refused to film while the cast, crew and  family waited.

We examine how production pieced together the happy holiday story viewers were shown, the Mansion rule that required the girlfriends to spend Christmas with Hef, and what each woman appeared to be chasing beneath the lights, presents and manufactured snowfall.

Valentine’s Day arrives at the Playboy Mansion with stuffed animals, Disney gifts, homemade cakes, sock bouquets and enough pink tissue paper to become a legitimate fire hazard.

This week on More Girls Next Door, Megan revisits Season 3, Episode 7, Hearts a Fire, originally aired on April 21, 2007.

Holly talks about her dream wedding to Hef—and accidentally predicts the Disneyland ceremony she would eventually have years later. Bridget bakes heart-shaped cakes and celebrates everyone in her orbit, while Hef shops for Valentine’s gifts with the intensity of a man personally offended by insufficient packaging.

Then, during the group gift exchange, a piece of tissue paper drifts into a candle and Kendra transforms into a human fire alarm while everyone else attempts to keep the Mansion from going up in flames.

Once Valentine’s Day is over, the episode barrels straight into Playboy’s Mardi Gras party.
