| 146. Letting Yourself Be Misunderstood: A Dark Moon Download | 01 Sep 2024 | 00:56:06 | |
What the energetic consequences of straining to get someone to understand you? If someone wants to understand you, they will. If someone doesn't want to understand you, they won't. Letting go of the struggle to be understood is an act of love. For yourself and for others. We can only understand someone else's point of view if we currently have the capacity to tolerate another viewpoint. Since we do not have control over another's capacity, we cannot control or manage how they understand us. Woof. This one felt huge. ENJOY! FINAL CALL FOR MY FALL COURSE MOON TO MOON! Hop in this first week of September as we begin with the New Moon in Virgo. | 145. Being Witches for Hope with Ashley Estabrook | 30 Aug 2024 | 01:10:39
My guest this episode is my longtime community member Ashley Estabrook aka Witches For Hope, previously known as Witches for Bernie. Witches for Hope has grown to nearly 40K followers in Instagram, with a genuinely loving and loyal community of big-hearted, radical witches. Ashley and I go way back, which we share about in the conversation. Some questions I had for Ashley: - What is the story of Witches for Hope? - What does WFH mean to you today? - What is it like being the steward for WFH? - What is a Role in the Revolution Reading? - What is it like supporting folks with these readings in an election year? - What do you want everyone to know about the possibility of having a role in the revolution? - How does inner child healing and reparenting support us in serving the collective and caring for ourselves in an election year? Listen to me and Ashley back in 2021 in Episode 31: "Self-Trust as the Foundation for Creativity & Community-Building." Ashley Estabrook is the creator of Witches For Hope, an Instagram account turned creative space for dreaming up a new tomorrow. Ashley's writing infuses her passions in a unique way, bringing together the parts of herself that weren't allowed to be connected in the past. Her work focuses on using magical tools, including tarot, astrology, and journaling, to shift perspectives around reparenting, inner child work, and our roles in the revolution. What started in January 2020 as a way to connect progressive witches on Instagram has grown into a magical world where you can find anything from tarot readings, to mutual aid fundraising, to ritual oils, and more. Witches For Hope is a space for alchemizing inspiration for our future, by processing our past and finding ways to feel magical and creative in our present. | 46. Temper me, Sag: The Astrology of Sagittarius Season 2021 | 22 Nov 2021 | 01:50:30
As it's my central thesis of this episode that Sag season is here for us to help integrate, process, and alchemize all we've been learning across both autumn and this whole year, I spend a good half of this episode sharing all that I've been moving through lately, noting the big invitations in my life and where I am with these. So much of what I notice in my life I also see reflected in the experiences shared by my students, collaborators, friends, family, and clients. Topics: - rewriting self-identifications with confusion - allowing oneself to be a winner - musing on the words "I love you" and how they live and last beyond the contracts we make and break with those we love - Vulture Magic celebrations - what I am learning with The Devil - new lessons on knowing one's value - surprising layers of trauma healing - how this moment feels like a new beginning And then we get into Sagittarius wisdom. And I discuss where we are with the astrology right now and then the highlights of the forecast for Sag season. LOTS in this episode! I hope you love it. If so, please rate and/or review Moon to Moon if you haven't before. Thank you thank you thank you! | 45. Living the F**k Out of Your Chart: Scorpio Season Edition with Mariola Rosario | 23 Oct 2021 | 01:43:02
It is my joy and honor to introduce a new format to the seasonal episode! The episode has three parts: 1. A review of the rollocking recent astrology, weaving in personal storytelling and insights per usual 2. A rich, heart-led, and thought-provoking conversation with the brilliant and highly Scorpionic Mariola Rosario 3. My highlights and pointers to consider for Scorpio Season 2021 My upcoming Pluto intensive NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND: CULTIVATING INTIMACY WITH PLUTO + SCORPIO is open for registration now and runs for 3 weeks: October 26 - November 16. Register now to dive into the pre-course module and prepare. I have constellated a team of incredible humans to guide us lovingly to the Underworld and back again: somatic therapist Luis Mojica, hypnotherapist Megan Frye, and astrologer (and this episode's podcast guest) Mariola Rosario. Notes from the Underground will truly be an interdisciplinary approach to this material. My highest intention for us is to offer a wildly stimulating intellectual experience alongside practical and embodied nourishment with what comes up when we get into Pluto’s zone. To learn more and sign up, check out the course page. Mariola Rosario (she/her) is an astrologer, professor, artist and cultural producer from Borikén, the land currently known as Puerto Rico. Right now, she is living and experiencing our global collapse from the shores of Paris, France. Mariola loves collaborating with artists, intuitives, freaks, ghouls, old, new & curious souls, students, teachers, organizers, activists, ancestors, flowers, plants, animals, candles, tarot, planets and beyond.Mariola’s artistic practice and academic research interests often revolve around cross-disciplinary aesthetic production from literary and contemporary visual culture to critical theory, mythology, photography and autobiography, alternative pedagogy and communal learning processes. Her current main artistic expression is the love language of Astrology and the empowering conversations that arise from it. The deeper she dives into this contemplative practice, the more she begins to consider Astrology as an Artistic Practice: a dialogue, a dance, a conversation between us, here on Planet Earth, and the divine Cosmos that houses all the delicious secrets of the Universe. Mariola is a Scorpio Sun, Scorpio Rising, Capricorn moon and proud alumni of the Pluto in Scorpio generation aka millennials, aka “generation hex”. No stranger to the katabatic journey, Mariola was born with Pluto in the first house, a tender point that has always required very international nurturing, kisses and sweet surrender. Pluto is currently still transiting her natal moon. I hope you love the episode. If you do, please leave some stars and a sweet review to brighten my day! +++ Podcast music by Jonathan Koe. | 44. Healing Attachment Wounds: Libra Season 2021 | 27 Sep 2021 | 01:02:10
I share right away that the seasonal episode for Libra season is a little different this month because I offered a deep dive forecasting discussion of the Libra archetype over on Cosmic Cousins with host Jeff Hinshaw and my dear friend and collaborator Jonathan Koe. Please check it out on iTunes, Spotify, or PodBean. Here I share some of my personal gnosis from working so deeply with Venus - Libra's planetary ruler - this year. This part of the episode will be especially meaningful to you if you listed to my Taurus season episode on The Emergent No when Venus was in Taurus as well as a the episode on Dumbo's Feather when Venus was in Leo. Now Venus is in Scorpio, opposite the former and square the latter. I also get into my thoughts on the Mercury retrograde invitation - nestled as it is between a square to Pluto and an opposition to Chiron. I share some downloads I've received on this from the Akashic space. And finally I offer a collective tarot reading to support us with all we're learning this Libra season. Thank you for listening! To receive audio horoscopes by sign at the New Moons as well as weekly written astro forecasts, check out my Patreon offerings. Currently, I am only giving one-on-one readings to folks in my Patreon. | 43. Living the F**k Out of Your Chart with Rachel Blodgett of Serpent & Bow | 27 Aug 2021 | 01:22:46
Wow wow wow this is such a rich, deep, and expansive conversation. I have admired Rachel's work for a couple of years now and in 2021 we have been growing a friendship in mutual admiration and respect. I'm so honored to be able to share her voice with you here on Moon to Moon. Rachel Blodgett is an artist and poetic spellcrafter from Santa Rosa California. Working with botanical dyes and visual magic, she created the magical lingerie shop known as Serpent & Bow: serving as a channel to transformative and liberatory understandings of embodiment. Rachel also offers divinatory card readings through her tarot practice, House of Poets. She is devoted to courting Life as it moves through us: exploring the mystery of being here, surrendering to being human, and allowing artistic expression to deepen this exquisite spiritual experience in the material mundane. Follow Serpent & Bow on Instagram and visit her online store to select the piece that's meant for you. In the episode, we dive into Rachel's chart. She is a Scorpio Rising, Sag Moon, and Taurus Sun. We discuss how Serpent & Bow unfolded and how her process has been shifting in 2021 as Uranus has been informing her Sun. Rachel is a remarkable storyteller. Not only is the content of what she says incredibly authentic, deep, and wise, but also the somatic quality of her voice is slow, sensual, and grounding. There are many laters of weight to her words. You will be truly entranced by her Scorpio-Taurus embodiment here. Thank you, Rachel, for connecting with me at so many levels and sharing yourself here! And thank you for everyone who has already said Yes to Charting Your Course and to those who will soon. Registration closes Sunday night, Aug 29. We begin on September 1! | 40. Living the F**k Out of Your Chart with Jeff Hinshaw of Cousins Cousins | 21 Aug 2021 | 01:34:29
It is with wild glee and pride that I share this new episode with esteemed guest: Jeff Hinshaw. Jeff (he/they) has been one of my favorite voices in astrology for years and I admire their work so deeply. What a big moment for Moon to Moon! We go so deep here. Jeff was open and generous with his storytelling and fully just dropped IN with me. We dove into their chart, especially covered Jeff's Aquarius Rising / Aquarius Sun invitation, the gifts of his Virgo Moon, and all that he's been learning with Saturn in Sag in the 11th with Uranus - both sextiling his Sun. If you don't know what that means, don't worry. Focus on the quality of what's shared and the energy of what is communicated. Like all of us, Jeff has been going through lots of change lately. Remember that it's especially those with fixed signs for rising signs and fixed signs for Sun or Moon. I am sending you all my compassion. I hope Jeff's shares will inspire you to look for the larger cosmic vision coming to you right now. Part of this change has been the gift of new downloads with the celestial bodies. We talk a lot about Jeff's recent gnosis with the asteroid goddesses Juno, Ceres, Vesta, and Pallas. He calls them the "fairies" in the chart - I LOVE this! Jeff is offering a new workshop on the asteroid goddesses starting September 6. I have already signed up! Jeff's Mercury is at 13 Pisces where I have my Sun. When he talks, I light up! In my light, he speaks who he is! You might attune to this while you listen. You can connect with Jeff on Instagram at @cosmic.couins and check out their podcast at Cosmic Cousins. +++ To learn about my upcoming 7-month experiential container for learning how to be a channel for astrological wisdom and live the f**k out of your chart, check out the Charting Your Course page on my website. | 39. Living the F**k Out of Your Chart with Kristin Layne Tucker | 17 Aug 2021 | 01:48:14
Welcome back to the next episode in this series Living the F**k Out of Your Chart. I hope you are loving these! My guest is Kristin Layne Tucker. Kristin is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and highly creative human being. I know Kristin as a client and student who is fearless about going to the deepest places in the chart. A Sag Rising, Aries Sun-Venus-Mars-Mercury, and Leo Moon, Kristin has learned to be an alchemist with so much FIRE in her chart. Her life, as she shares, has been shaped by the Archer's desire to aim for a world she doesn't see yet. Her personal Aries stellium in the 5th House of creativity opposite the generational Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto in Libra in the 11th House of collectivity has been a powerful push-pull axis for her. She has been growing into how to serve her self-expression while also addressing and serving collective transformation and the calling in of new paradigms. We speak too about her Vesta-Moon conjunction in Leo in the 9th House. Tune in to hear about it! The Emmy-nominated Kristin Layne Tucker began following her calling when she transferred from Georgetown University to the University of Southern California. It was there that she took her first screenwriting class and fell in love with the art form. After college, Kristin enrolled in graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her M.A. in Screenwriting. Post-graduate school, she worked as an assistant to a television literary agent at WME while delving into her own writing pursuits. With the television scripts she wrote, Kristin was one of seven comedy semi-finalists in the Austin Film Festival, one of six comedy finalists for the Warner Bros. Television Writers’ Workshop and was one of eight writers accepted into NBC’s Writers on the Verge. Kristin’s small screen debut came as a writer on Disney Channel’s Dog With A Blog. Subsequently, she worked as a writers’ assistant on the Showtime series Black Monday, at Hartbeat Productions on a Kevin Hart project for Netflix, and as a writer on comedian Jo Koy’s animated series This Functional Family. Her most recent writing credits include season two of HBO’s groundbreaking, Emmy-nominated A Black Lady Sketch Show as well as season two of Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated The Flight Attendant on HBO Max. Kristin was also recently tapped to write a feature for Netflix, starring Jada Pinkett Smith. In the summer of 2020, Kristin was the graduation speaker at our alma mater. This is a HUGE honor. Toward the end of our conversation, I read excerpts of her speech to reflect back to her - and to you the listener - the power of her voice. You can literally feel her chart inside these words! So moving! Enjoy! +++ To learn about my upcoming 7-month journey to learning how to read your chart and cultivate fluency and intimacy with astrology and the planets, check out the Charting Your Course page on my website. On August 5, Jonathan Koe and I hosted a free webinar titled Living the F**k Out of Your Chart. In this episode, I share the audio recording from that spirited hour together. Click here if you would like to watch the video recording. In the webinar, we court the notion of "living the f**k our your chart" by asking three introductory questions: - What is astrology? - What is the birth chart? - What is not-astrology? This brings to the our super provocative thesis as well as our suggested technique for getting closer to living the f**k out of your chart in your own chart analysis. | 38. Living the F**k Out of Your Chart with Danica Boyce | 08 Aug 2021 | 01:26:05
And for this second installment of LTFOOYC, I am giddy to share this rollicking conversation with the luminous Danica Boyce. Danica Boyce is a pagan life coach and educator who guides folks to shed limitation and imperialism through genuine reconnection with the abundance innate in this world and ourselves. She specializes in embodied creativity, non-hierarchical mentorship, and the energetics of holding epic, love-fueled visions for humankind and the earth. She began in academia, and after a masters in medieval studies and a teaching specialization in indigenous pedagogy, she left the conventional job market to pursue folklore podcasting and online teaching full time. She leads courses and coaches on social and personal transformation, money and career from a pagan, animistic worldview.
The most fun is when we get into how Danica’s chart reflects the stories we had been discussing. We talk about how Danica is a Scorpio Rising with Saturn at the Ascendant. She has Sun-Uranus in Sag in the 2nd house, Moon in Cancer in the 9th, and Jupiter in Capricorn in the 3rd. Eryn Johnson (she/her) is a space holder, facilitator, creative, poet, witch, queer femme, and survivor. She hosts multiple offerings, including breath work and ritual circles, a creative support membership, a Patreon space, self-guided experiences for growing pleasure and embodiment, and teachings for healing and recovering from religious trauma. Eryn hosts the popular podcast Living Open, which I've been listening to since 2018. Living Open is self-described as a podcast for mystics and seekers, with conversations on healing, magic, spirituality, witchcraft, ritual, meditation, tarot, and dismantling white supremacy and patriarchy. She has had an extraordinary guest line-up over the years, so it was my huge honor to be interviewed on the 222nd episode last week! Please check it out! Here, Eryn and I talk about - her story of starting Living Open in her early twenties and how she came up with that great name - her Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn generational placement and how that chart invitation showed up for her in 2020 - loving her Scorpio stellium in the 3rd House, including Venus retrograde, and how that works for her - being a full moon baby with a Libra Sun and Aries Moon - how she used to resent her Aries Moon and how and why she now loves it - looking ahead to her Saturn Return in Pisces in a couple of years ...and so much more. I hope you enjoy it! +++ Enrollment for my once-a-year course Soft Strength: a transformational intensive for self-reclamation moon to moon closes after June 13. | 31. Self-Trust as the Foundation for Creativity & Community-Building with Ashley Estabrook of Witches For Bernie | 31 May 2021 | 01:44:03
It is with great joy and honor that I share this 31st episode because Moon to Moon gets to be the host space for the first ever podcast interview with Ashley Estabrook aka @witches4bernie! Ashley Estabrook is the creator of Witches For Bernie, an Instagram account turned creative space for dreaming up a new tomorrow. Ashley's writing infuses her passions in a unique way, bringing together the parts of herself that weren't allowed to be connected in the past. Her work focuses on using magical tools, including tarot, astrology, and journaling, to shift perspectives around reparenting and inner child work. Recently expanding into the world of Patreon and embracing the student-teacher archetype, she has transformed her platform into a space where she shares the information that she learns and integrates with her professional background in mental health and the medical field. What started in January 2020 as a way to connect progressive witches on Instagram has grown into a magical world where you can find anything from tarot readings, to mutual aid fundraising, to ritual guides, to Bernie memes. Witches For Bernie is a space for alchemizing hope for our future, by processing our past and finding ways to feel magical and creative in our present. As discussed, Ashley also created ritual oils and astro guides through her Etsy shop. I have known Ashley in one way or another for nearly two years now. It has been a joy to watch her star rise as she launched her Insta space, which has become such an active and supportive community at the intersection of politics, tarot, astrology, and self-care. I deeply admire Ashley for the ways in which she shows up with such consistency for her passions and how she brings her whole self to her work. Thank you for joining me, Ashley! My conversation with Ashley begins about 35 minutes into the episode. In the Introduction, I honor Mars in Cancer and share some of the ways it has been working through my life since it's been my Mars Return. Technically not over until it's over, Mars in Cancer has already blown me away. I am in awe of the magic of astrology to come through on its promises in ways we can never fully predict or control. It just happens, and I feel so held. In the Intro, I also share how I've come to know Ashley. Ashley participated in Soft Strength in both 2019 and 2020, and as she shares, it was a transformative experience for her in a variety of ways that have directly influenced her bold moves and big changes over the last two years. To learn more about Soft Strength: a transformational intensive for self-reclamation moon to moon, please check out the course page where you should be able to find everything you need to know. Early Bird Pricing is only available this weekend: June 4-6. And the only way to have the option for the discount is to be on the Early Bird list. If you are feeling embroiled or embattled by the eclipses, please do check out my free webinar on eclipses that I led with Jonathan Koe. We have had a huge registration, continuing daily since the event last week, and have heard tons of positive feedback about it. I hope you enjoy this episode, which was made with love for the Moon. Thank you to Jonathan Koe for the gorgeous musical score and Angela George for the podcast art.

In this episode, I talk with my dear friend Natasha Levinger about a topic very near to my heart: healing the inner child. Learning about, connecting with, and caretaking my inner child has transformed my life. Natasha has helped me so much in my own journey here, both in one-on-one healing sessions and from her Inner Child Healing course and workshops. Natasha and I discuss the following: - how to know when a thought or fear is coming from your inner child and not your adult self - how inner child healing helps us be better caretakers - how to take an intellectual understanding of the inner child to an embodied relationship - how the dynamics of the inner child, the inner loving parent, and the inner critic relate to Cancer and Capricorn To learn more about Natasha's work, subscribe to her monthly newsletter or request an energy healing, please visit HighestLightHealing.com. | 28: The Emergent NO: An Episode in Honor of Aries-Taurus Teachings at the Dark Moon | 07 May 2021 | 01:12:12
Well well well... what a lunar cycle this has been. In order to help myself, and in the hopes that what's coming through for me will be helpful to you, I have a lot to share about what's been going on these last weeks. In this episode, I guide us in contemplating the ways that rooting into our Taurus values have allowed us to assert a more clear and sacred No. There has been a lot of separating energy in this Mars-ruled cycle. Here I propose that when the No emerges it is because Death is present somehow. We know something is off, wrong, dying, stagnant... and I argue that to disregard the No is to disengage from your pulsing, vibrating life force - your Yes. This is not necessarily easy though, because to become conscious of the No means to face the grief inherent in the truth that everything ends, because everything changes and life is by definition not static. Your No comes from your knowing that there is Death in not asserting it. It means you have the strength to face change. This is being felt collectively. Just as I was first writing about this idea of No / Yes, I noticed similar messaging coming from people I respect such as Danica Boyce. It was a joy to witness her community exercise with a Week of No and a Week of Yes. Bravo! In this episode, I also introduce a framework I'm calling Vulture Magic, inspired by the Brady Tarot version of Justice. Vultures feast on and clear what is dead in order to live and seed new life. We can learn from this. I discuss Vulture Magic at length in the episode. I'm finding a lot of inspiration here personally right now. At the end of the episode, I share a tarot spread I'm calling "Your Emergent No: A Dark Moon Exercise for Self-Care." It is really best to hear the full guidance before trying, and then feel free to amend to your knowing. This section of the episode is really deep, and will be helpful whether or not you work with the tarot. You can use the prompts as an intuitive journaling exercise without cards. Card 1: The Emergent No (Aries Separating) Card 2: Why You Might Be Struggling to Act on Your No Card 3: Your Ally / Teacher for Acting on Your No Card 4: Foundational Support / Your Values Trying to Talk to You (Taurus Roots) Card 5: Vulture Magic: The Past on Which You Feast Card 6: Vulture Magic: What Will Change (and Grow) When You Listen and Act on Your No Card 7: The Gifts and Fruits of Your Boundaries for Pollinating Your Garden (Gemini Magic) It is my sincere desire that you will find strength, insight, and even solace in this practice and with the topics of this episode, a gift from my heart. The sound is a little glitchy but the content comes through. If you enjoy what you hear and receive, please rate and review this podcast in exchange with me. | 27. Liberating the Throat & the Astrology of Taurus Season | 20 Apr 2021 | 01:48:46
This episode is a big UNVEILING: Moon to Moon's first podcast music! And from a very special creator, my student-teacher-client-friend-collaborator Jonathan Koe. Jonathan and I have had so much fun dreaming this into being. Jonathan named this particular piece "Pisces' Last Waltz," which of course I just LOVE! In this episode, we attune to Taurus teachings: how Aries dreams of Taurus, Earth element, fixed sign qualities, the symbolism of the The Bull / Cow. I spend extra time on the topic of Uranus in Taurus. What I most want to talk about is The Hierophant as the card we associated with Taurus. As it's a Hierophant year (I explain), I think a lot about what that might mean for us. Jump to about 40 minutes in to go straight to this section. Then I get into the astrology of the Taurus season 2021. I discus the primary astrological energies with which to play and notice. Sending my warmest birthday wishes to all the Taurus Suns out there! Please check out and join my Patreon space for weekly astro tips and monthly audio horoscopes, as well as bigger, more personal options at the higher level tiers. | 26. The Power of Self-Awe: The Astrology of Aries Season 2021 | 20 Mar 2021 | 01:10:55
This episode is dedicated to the victims of this week's shootings in Atlanta. An offering from Moon to Moon has been made to www.redcanarysong.net, which is a grassroots collective of Asian & migrant sex workers, organized transnationally. I invite you to learn about and support their work to center labor rights and mutual aid for massage parlor workers. In this episode, I share: - why I resist the spring equinox until I'm on the other side of it - teachings on Aries to deepen into the sign's wisdom - my take on the keynote invitations for this Aries season - Mars and Venus, Aries and Libra, Aries and Taurus, Emperor and Empress themes - big dates to note and why - my Helm of Awe framework for your imagination ... and more. I almost didn't offer this episode because I'm consolidating back into myself right now with my new course starting at the full moon ahead. But I couldn't not speak about Aries. I love Aries. Happy Birthday, Aries Suns! I hope you enjoy this episode. My books are currently closed to one-on-one client work. To learn from and work with me, please invest in my workbooks to deeper diving, join my newsletter for updates, and connect in my Patreon space for writing and conversation on the astro. Stay tuned for future classes and workshops. Are you a fan of the Moon to Moon podcast? If the answer is Yes, then I want to ask: Have you given M2M a rating or review yet? Your testimonial is a huge and wonderful gift to this space. You don't need to say much to make a big difference. Thank you thank you thank you! In honor of Moon to Moon's birthday, I'm offering a secret 10% off the Moon to Moon workbook for people who see this. Code is M2M of course.

| 24. EARTH: Finding safety in the body with Luis Mojica of Holistic Life Navigation | 10 Mar 2021 | 01:19:46 | |
The last in a series of episodes on the elements, this latest Moon to Moon episode holds teachings and conversation about working with the element of Earth in your life and in your magical offering to the world. My honored guest for this effort is Virgo Sun Luis Mojica of Holistic Life Navigation. For reasons that will be apparent when listening here, I knew that Luis would be my first choice for a contemplation on Earth as soon as I dreamed of having one. Luis's direct bio: "My name is Luis Mojica. I teach people how to release stress & trauma through listening to their bodies. I am a trained somatic therapist, whole food nutritional counselor, & herbalist. My work is a result of my own journey to heal complex PTSD & illness. We can connect to our bodies through listening, to the Earth through eating and feeling, and to ourselves through mindful awareness. From this place, we can heal anything." On so many levels, Luis is talking and teaching about the element of Earth: food / nutrition / eating, body listening / knowing / awareness, herbal medicine, somatic therapy, forest bathing, grounding practices, and connecting with the planet in relationship. As I share in the intro, working with Earth for me has been an important piece of my own healing process because I was once acutely disassociated from my body. My body was always a problem. Being here in this lifetime, being fully present with awareness and connection, deep listening to my body's needs: all of that used to be very scary for me, so I found safety in escaping. Because Luis's work and my own story involve healing trauma, please be advised and give thought to whether or not you have the capacity to receive this episode today. In my view, Luis has become something of a living Chiron, which we discuss in our conversation. To learn more about Chiron, I recommend starting with this Liz Greene article titled “Wounding & the Will to Live.” I also recommend my mentor Adam Sommer's episode on Chiron in Aries (the sign Chiron is currently in as well as my own writing on Chiron from the Living the Signs: Virgo book, a snippet of which you can find here. Follow Luis on Instagram at @holisticlifenavigation, check out his incredible podcast (start with episodes 1 and 2), and find out how to work with him at www.holisticlifenavigation.com where you can get on the waitlist for the next round of his Releasing Trauma class. +++ Join the waitlist for The Magician's Table: A Workshop Circle for Emerging Readers, which opens for application on Friday, March 12. | 23. WATER: Channeling the non-verbal with zaneta sykes of sound art magic | 07 Mar 2021 | 01:31:25
My intention with this latest Moon to Moon episode was to open up a conversation about working with the element of Water in your life and in your magical offering to the world. My honored guest for this effort is Cancer Sun zaneta sykes. I've known zaneta about two years now. We are colleagues as witches who both create in order to serve, and we mutually witness and celebrate one another's growth. For reasons that will be apparent when listening here, I knew that zaneta would be my first choice for a contemplation on Water as soon as I dreamed of having one. zaneta sykes is a sound ritualist, listening educator, and tarot reader living in Brooklyn. At the core of their art is a deep desire to remember how to live in interconnectedness. Whether that is humxns connecting to the land or to one another, they believe sound is a powerful medium for building connectivity. The bulk of their artwork is meditations and sound rituals, where they draw upon memory and weave ritual and sound to create community performance experiences that transform the way participants hear and connect to the world. As with the other elemental episodes in this series, I anchor us into the themes for Water in the introductory solo segment. To jump straight to my conversation with zaneta, please jump to around 29 minutes in. Topics explored on this episode: - Water, fluidity, and receptivity - Water as conduit and its relationship to context - Water, ancestral memory, and understanding where you've been - Our shared Aries Rising with Mars in Cancer placements - Knight of Cups and finding the generative, creative impulse from the "raw spaces" of pain, crying, and sacred rage - Opening realms with non-doing by dropping into deeper listening - Shifting from a Capricornian form of working toward a more non-linear, non-hierarchical Aquarian approach right now, and how that can be scary and exhilarating at the same time - Radical liberation with Uranus in Taurus teaching us how our psychic perceptions and creativity can be nourished by having our basic needs met and bring able to receive financial security I loved this episode and I hope you enjoy it too. Learn more about zaneta by following them on IG at @soundartmagic, exploring their website offerings - teachings, readings, performances - at www.soundartmagic.com, tuning into their podcast Art Witch, and checking out their Patreon space for meditations and spiritual tools. | 22. FIRE: Burning Away Obstruction with Heidi Rose Robbins | 03 Mar 2021 | 01:14:43
My intention with this episode is to open up space for a conversation about working with the element of Fire in your life and in your magical offering. Who else to help me explore this topic than the radiant Heidi Rose Robbins?! An Aries Sun and Leo Rising, Heidi is a force of inspiration in the field of astrology. Heidi grew up in Fargo, North Dakota with an astrologer father and an architect mother, learning the zodiac with her ABC’s. She holds an MFA in acting, has published two books of poetry and just released a new book series of Astrological Love Letters for each sign of the zodiac. She has performed twice for TED X in Los Angeles. Heidi has also led Radiant Life Retreats for over 10 years and has a thriving astrology practice with clients from around the world. Heidi lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children. As in the AIR episode, the first part of this one is me grounding us into definitions and introducing aspects of the topic of Fire that I wanted to share as a way into and to prepare for the conversation with Heidi. If you'd like to jump straight to that interview, the time stamp is around 27 minutes. Don't miss the final ten minutes where I get into aspects of Fire that aren't mentioned anywhere else in the episode, particularly those that have to do with Sag and Jupiter. The incredible poem Heidi shares is titled "Burn" from her poetry book Wild Compassion. The psychosynthesis thinker we discuss is Roberto Assagioli. Topics that came up include: - Healing after years of gaslighting - Boundaries with the Inner Critic and with other people's stories for you - Working with brain chemistry - Swords cards - The analytical mind versus the intuitive mind - Mercury and the mind - Hearing wisdom from your spirit guides - Constellating your community with the howl of your clear, unique voice - Being highly "Transpersonally aware" when you're both very Aquarian and very Piscean I adore and hold deep respect for my guest Natasha Levinger. | 20. A Love Libation to Pisces & the Astrology of Pisces Season | 19 Feb 2021 | 01:24:17
“I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.” - Anaïs Nin, Pisces Sun-Jupiter & Venus In this episode I begin by discussing why and how learning about being a Pisces Sun changed my life. (I get a little weepy, I admit it.) I do this as a way to invite you to attuning to the 12th sign. Then share a review of where we are in the astrology of 2021 right now as we move into Pisces season. This is meant to ground you and help you re-orient to the present. After that, I share a review of the key dates and energetic invitations of the Piscean season to support you in looking ahead and relating to whatever comes up. Finally, I close by offering a 20-minute lesson on Pisces from my 2019 Pisces-themed course Neptune Vibes, the first class I ever taught on astrology! It has the raw passion and intimacy with the material that you have when you teach a class for the first time. Whether you consider yourself very Piscean, or whether the archetype feels far away for you, I hope you enjoy the episode! I hope it feels like balm in the cold. | #19: The Magician's Table: Tools for Your Magic | 29 Jan 2021 | 00:47:14
In the episode I introduce a framing device that I’ve been noodling on for nearly a year to help me conceptualize the relationship I have to my magic: how I show up to my life and invite in what I want or something even better. To learn more about The Magician’s Table at my website, and register for the upcoming webinar, click here. The inspiration for this naming is (no shocker!) The Magician card in the tarot. In many renditions of the card, we see a figure with one hand up holding a wand to the sky to channel information from divine and bring it down through the body and onto the earthly plane though the other hand. Before the figure, we see a wooden table. On it, there are four elemental tools:
To be a reader of any kind, whether you are a creator, artist, or wordsmith in service to your clients or an intuitive guide, therapist, or spiritual coach in the work of healing, the Magician’s Table can be a supportive framing device for cultivating ever deeper intimacy with your tools. For this I have found to be true: closer and closer attunement to your tools will assist you in emerging more fully as a reader, creator, and guide of any kind. One of basic tenets (that which we hold as true) of a magical life is that the inner world is a mirror for the outer world, and the outer world is a mirror for the inner world. Thus, personal practices of attunement to tools are essential to your professional growth. And likewise, the expansion of external practices with clients and increased visibility in open spaces like Instagram will bring you into more and more need for personal healing. Through the framework of The Magician’s Table, which I will be teaching about extensively on my podcast (with exciting interviews with magical people forthcoming - EEP!), in the webinar, and as a rite of passage in our workshop circle, I will share how working with the elemental tools of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth can support you in personal and professional expansion and towards a self-claiming of this identity and calling. At the end of March, I will hold space for a 10-week rite of passage for those who wish to go deeper here. In the space of this iteration of The Magician’s Table, participants will be initiated in and through a process of integration in order to name, know, and identify as seer, mystic, and reader. To sign up for the waiting list to find out when the doors open for this intimate journey, please click here.

I have so much to say for this cycle. It is really important and really big. Herein I share: - How to attune to Aquarius in yourself and around you: Aquarius as Transpersonal Fixed Air and what that means, Aquarius as the Water Bearer and The Star in the tarot, on Saturn and Uranus as ruling teachers for us this cycle - Considering Aquarius and how it relates to the personal and collective nervous systems, and what this has to do with calling in a healing revolution - (50 minutes in) A 5-card collective tarot reading for the coming season and how to work with the energies, pulled from the Brady Tarot - (1 hour 4 minutes in) A reading of the moment the Sun crosses into Aquarius as a foreteller of what the season will bring - (1 hour 19 minutes in) Dates of key astrological alignments and how to work with these energies in your lived experience - How to connect the astrology to larger patterns of story that you're living - How to work with the upcoming Full Moon in Leo and then the New Moon in Aquarius - Big dates ahead, especially 1/20, 1/23, 2/10, and 2/17, and how to set the heart and spirit to readiness Thank you for listening. This is the fourth of 7 episodes where I celebrate what I love about each of the traditional 7 planets. This episode honors Saturn. I trust you will find someone special for you in each of these. Let me know how the series is landing. If my approach to astrology resonates with and speaks to you, I invite you to consider joining us in Emergence Astrology Year One. WE BEGIN JUNE 20! Year One is not an Astrology 101. This is for all levels of astrological knowledge and practice. Year One is more of an experience than a classroom. Year One is an invitation into a mystical and embodied relationship to the language and to the mysteries that enliven it. You will complete Year One with a deeply intimate, personal relationship to each of the 7. | #17: Speak Your Voice | 02 Jan 2021 | 01:18:24
It's 2021: Year of The Hierophant! And since 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 5, that means it's a 5 year. In the tarot, 5 is associated with The Old Crow / Crone known as The Hierophant. The Hierophant is an energy that invites you into deeper connection to your inner voice, truth, and sacred wisdom, and to become more conscious about and congruent with how your own felt, embodied truth moves through your throat. Thus, it felt so right that this morning - here at the start of the New Year - I received the insight to "Speak Your Voice." In this episode, my topic is focused on the art of divination. In this episode: - I define the term and talk about why humans have enjoyed divination for centuries - I discuss why I've had resistance to aligning myself with the term publicly, which allows me to tease out what I consider skillful from unskillful forms of divination - I flow over with loving words for divination and why I am so excited to share this passion with you - I share tips and suggestions for tightening your practices with divinatory tools - I speak to the fact that not everyone is always in the frame of mind and body to work with divination, and how to know when it's safe to go there - I give some advice for vetting a reader if you don't practice divination yourself - I give us a four-card tarot reading because... it's an episode on divination! I hope you enjoy receiving this as much as I loved creating it for you. I recorded when Neptune was at the eastern horizon so that this great teacher of my Piscean Mercury could watch over my words and expand their possibilities. Wishing you all a beautiful closure to 2020 and an exciting "seeding" window for the year ahead. To book a Year Ahead Reading, click here. | #15: Don't Get Swept Away: The Astrology of Sagittarius Season 2020 | 20 Nov 2020 | 01:34:43
This episode has two parts. Please forgive the occasional lawnmower noise. The content was too good to delete and re-record. First, I offer a reorientation to various astrological cycles we've been in, sharing questions to ask yourself and ways to attune to the energy invitations we've been in. The goal here to help you know what you've been learning, identify patterns, name your stories, and recognize where you are within them. And then, I go through the major astrological dates and their vibes, from Nov 21 when the Sun enters Sag through Dec 20 just before Capricorn season begins. This is to help you attune to what's coming in so you can be present to it and work with how it feels. In the episode, I mention the work of Luis Mojica and Carolyn Elliott. | #14 Brave Sight: The Astrology of Scorpio Season | 22 Oct 2020 | 01:04:07
We don't need astrology to tell us that the coming four weeks will carry a LOT. We all feel it coming. If astrology offers us a reflection and contextualization of our lived experience, if this old ancient language can help us understand and move through this specific moment in time, then let us experiment with the possibility that studying the astrology of the moment can be nourishing, empowering, and resonant. Will you join me? This is by necessity brief. I could have covered so much more here. But I have done that elsewhere. For an in-depth look at Scorpio, please check out my 160-page workbook Living the Signs: Scorpio or my oral teachings on the sign in The Medicine of Autumn audio series. See also my previous episode with Lara Veleda Vesta, which is very Scorpionic in nature (even though astrology is never mentioned!). In the episode, I mention the excellent work of Danica Boyce and Luis Mojica. Please check out Danica's podcast Fair Folk and Luis's podcast Holistic Life Navigation to learn more about their teachings. Please reach out if you have any questions. Sending warm wishes.
| #13: Transition as Initiation with Lara Veleda Vesta | 08 Oct 2020 | 01:18:25 | |
It is with great pleasure and pride that I share my first interview on Moon to Moon. My intention with this interview has been to honor and celebrate the work of a teacher I greatly admire and respect, and I was thrilled and grateful when Lara Veleda Vesta said Yes to my request for her conversation. I begin with a contemplation on teachers, and what makes for a great teacher. This lasts about 14 minutes if you want to jump straight to hearing Lara. During the interview, Lara shares her incredible story as a way to ground us in understanding how she came to the key phrases, healing frameworks, and teaching methods that have been profoundly shifting for me and so many others. We go really deep, and we discuss difficult, "scary" topics. Please review the themes below to be sure you are in a mental-emotional place to listen without too much triggering. I recommend listening on a walk or in a safe space, so that you are able to receive without distraction. You might enjoy lighting a candle to signal your preparedness. Topics include: embracing surrender and non-linearity, de-colonizing one's spiritual practice, letting go of who we once were and loving who we are now, living in a culture without proper rites of passages, anchoring through illness and disease, learning to trust our "unverifiable personal gnosis" while still holding deep respect for academic standards and primary source evidence, embracing animism as a way of life, healing the "witch wound" and how it affects everything and everyone on this planet, loving the idea of teachers as portal-openers, and much more. We close with the question: what does it mean for you to live "moon to moon?" I love her answer. You can follow Lara on Instagram at @veledavesta. Check out her website laravesta.co and her deeply nourishing Patreon community. I also encourage you to check out her Moon Divas Guidebook and her learning space The Wild Soul School. I encourage all listeners to check out her upcoming Ancestral Connection class. To work more intimately with the themes of our conversation, please order my Living the Signs: Scorpio workbook. Similar themes are covered in different ways in this podcast's namesake workbook: Moon to Moon.
| #12: The Medicine of Autumn & The Astrology of Libra 2020 | 26 Sep 2020 | 01:43:24 | |
In this episode I talk about... - how listening opens up humility and deeper learning - working with the will in order to serve what we really care about - co-creation with intuition and the non-human - The Magician's Table as our given set of tools and circumstances, always subject to shifts - channeled loving guidance to sustain us - how to learn from autumn as a teacher - the astrology of Libra 2020 and how we got here (with key dates!) If you would like to learn from me, please check out my new offering: The Medicine of Autumn, a series of oral teachings designed to contemplate change, transformation, and visioning through the lens of astrology, myth, and the tarot. | Bathing in the Space between Cancer & Leo | 02 Aug 2020 | 01:12:19
In this episode, I talk about de-programming from urgency, embracing imperfection, ancestral healing, cording with other people to seek validation, noticing your inner child, growing your sunlight, dilating the present moment in order to enhance creativity, and disrupting into your truth. Lots of nuggets here to soothe and inspire. Much to cover with the churning of the times! I give a tarot reading as well as discuss the vibes of the Full Moon Aquarius. Thank you for listening. This podcast is my pleasure. Note: towards the end I mention that the Full Moon chart is Leo Rising. I meant Libra Rising - a well meaning mistake.

| The Energy Has to Go Somewhere | 29 Jun 2020 | 02:39:39 | |
I need to speak with you about the planet Mars, and I've got horoscopes. Herein, I propose that now is the opportune time for a kind of sacred pause to reassess, re-align, and receive insight. It's a time to return home to yourself for a little while to understand all that you've been learning and get intimate with how you're changing as the world changes around you. Let me propose to you that we're in a threshold space to prepare the way for a future that would like you to become more approachable. And Mars is now the teacher who wants to dominate the style of this invitation. The first part of this episode presents the nature of the energies of the year, with special focus on the remainder of 2020. The second 1.5 hours offers a horoscope (time-reading) for each sign. Please focus on your rising sign first, sun sign second. These horoscopes are meant to be invitations to help you work with the energies most skillfully. Like any horoscope, these present only a partial view of the whole because we're not accounting for all of your planets and key points. However, I do believe in the value of horoscopes, and it felt like a supported time to offer them. In the last 5-10 minutes, I close with a tarot reading for all of us. It's beautiful. Thank you, tarot! To learn more about work, follow my on IG at @brittenlarue. | A Geyser in the Heart | 21 May 2020 | 01:15:07
I go pretty full-on mystic in this episode. What I sought to do was bring what I had been intellectually inspired to consider - the liminal space between Taurus & Gemini, between our values and our choices, between the healing speech of The Hierophant and the reaching hands of The Lovers - and connect these to what I've been working on intuitively healing from a past life that is strong in this one. All will be revealed and defined within the episode. Know that you don't need a working knowledge of astrology or the tarot to gain or learn from this conversation. The title comes from a message I received in meditation before recording. I discuss it at the end. Hope you'll stick around for this treasure. You can following my work at brittenlarue.com and @brittenlarue on IG. Please rate, subscribe, and/or review if you received something yummy from this episode. The books I reference in the episode are Linda Sussman's The Speech for the Grail: A Journey towards Speaking that Heals and Transforms, and my own workbooks on Living the Signs. I reference the work of my intuitive teacher Deborah Kremins as well as that of my friend and healer Natasha Levinger.

| This Distorted Fishbowl | 05 May 2020 | 01:40:22 | |
I cover a lot here. Below is it the rudimentary order of topic. Know that I define all terms and consider my approach to this language very open for beginners. My goal is to always be understood, relevant, and useful to our actual lived experience. -Why Mercury cycles are helpful and fascinating when you starts tracking yours. Yesterday’s cazimi marks the middle point of a cycle that started February 25 when Mercury first met the Sun while retrograde in Pisces. The story began then, and took a big turn the week of March 9 when Mercury stationed direct. Now the story is moving fast and will begin to gain big picture over the course of next week as Mercury pulls away from the Sun and becomes an evening star. -The Full Moon in Scorpio is May 7, and this one wants us to do some emotional processing of WTH has been going on for us. I’m always down for Scorpio’s real talk. The purpose of this entire episode is to help myself and anyone listening to process through what HAS been happening, what IS happening, and what will likely be the coming energies to process through. -I discuss the current energies using the framework of the quarantine home as a fishbowl. From a fishbowl, fish have a pretty poor understanding of the big picture and a fairly distorted view of reality. I share how the planet Neptune plays a big role in the goings-on right now, which is not a great energy for clear sight or discernment. -If astrology is here to help us understand how to work with the energies available to us in the most conscious and skillful way possible (my take), then what is the invitation right now? I discuss how Saturn as a drying principle can be really useful. With Saturn, we have to talk about boundaries, and boundaries are really necessary right now. So, I get into boundaries here. And I talk about the benefits of sobering and drying out in order to regain clearer sight in a time of Neptune and a lot of coming retrogrades. -The medicine of Taurus is really centering, rooting, and slowing right now. In honor of this lunar cycle in Taurus, I give a teaching on how Taurus can support you like a ballast. In times like these, there can be a sense of “What’s the point?” regarding intentions and astro feels. My argument is that what we need is to go to the very marrow, the essence of the sign energy to receive its most present, near, basic nourishment. And I share these here. -At the heart of Taurus is the need to get honest about our values, because our values determine our definition of abundance. Right now, we’re in a time of shifting values as things change within and around us, and thus our definition of abundance is changing. It’s empowering to get clear about this. -At around an hour into the episode, I discuss how Taurus medicine, which has to do with deep immanent presence in the body, helps us heal from trauma. I do not describe anything that causes trauma specifically, and I stay high level, but note the TRIGGER WARNING if you don’t want to hear anything about trauma. You will know when I’m starting that conversation because it’s about the Queen of Pentacles, and so when you hear me start talking there, you can bump 10 minutes ahead. -Finally, I give a tarot reading for the invitation of the present. It’s a rich reading that I am still intaking. I hope you will stick around and find the message supportive to you. So yeah, a lot here! Ha! Thank you for giving the episode a listen. If you enjoyed it, please rate, subscribe, or review. This really helps me and is a beautiful act of reciprocity. I’d love to have you join my community at brittenlarue.com, or following me on IG @brittenlarue. In the episode, I reference my Taurus workbook, which you can check out on my website. I have a handful left. I read from the sumptuous and thoughtful guidebook of the Dalí Tarot, written by tarot scholar Johannes Fieberg.
| Somewhere Between The Devil & The Star | 20 Apr 2020 | 00:50:44 | |
In this mini-episode, I share a favorite passage from Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet about embracing uncertainty. His words create a resonant introduction to the idea of being in the liminal space between two ways of being that is the experience of being in The Tower. In the tarot, The Tower is the card we associate with Mars, ruler of Aries and Scorpio. Here, under this Aries Moon at the end of a wild and gnarly lunar cycle in Aries that has been collectively and individually very Tower, we can honor all that has shifted, all we've learned, all we've felt, and surrender it over. Notably, in the tarot The Tower is the card that bridges between the liberating potential of unchaining from The Devil and the profoundly regenerating invitation of The Star. We have to "live the questions now" - as Rilke suggests - in order to reach that deep healing. To make things more interesting, The Devil is the card associated with Capricorn, and The Star is the card associated with Aquarius, the two adjacent signs currently holding much of the intense Tower-like churning energy of 2020. There is so much more I could have gotten into with this topic, but I desired to keep it simple and to the most relevant point of the now. I hope you enjoy it! In honor of loving reciprocity, please rate and review if you are feeling support from this podcast. | The Cosmos is Not in Quarantine | 13 Apr 2020 | 01:07:05
In this one, I tease out a thought that came to me: the cosmos is not in quarantine. When we give ourselves enough space to sense into the vastness of cosmic consciousness, we access the truth that we're in a cycle of infinite cycles. Attuning to the cosmic and the primal parts of self, we can more easily listen to this moment, this liminal space outside our normal, and be awake to the massive radical potential for growth and learning right now. We can orient towards the person we are dreaming into being, the person waiting for us on the path that emerges between grief and wonder. Within the episode, I share a tarot pull I did for us with the prompts: What is the medicine of the liminal moment? How do we receive this medicine? What is the gift of this medicine? I am posting the image of the cards on my IG feed @brittenlarue if you'd like to see it. That deck is the Mountain Dream Tarot. I also speak to the hot energies specific to this week of April 12. Since "the cosmos is not in quarantine," we can always turn to the astrology for help calling on our most wise self in any given moment. I quote from the book Cosmos & Psyche by Richard Tarnas. I refer to Martin Shaw's Soundcloud reading "We Are In the Underworld and We Haven't Figured it Out Yet." When I refer to it, I called it "We Are in the Underground, and We Don't Even Know It." Please forgive my human error there. You can learn more about my new class Charting Your Course at my website: brittenlarue.com.
