The Momentum Podcast is for those who of us who think differently — made especially for empire builders, game-changers, trailblazers, record makers, and creators of all kinds. Those among us who can’t turn it off, and don’t know why anyone would want to. We challenge complacency, destroy apathy, and we are obsessed with creating momentum. While the rest of the world strives for average and clings desperately to the status quo, you and I are compelled to move forward and change the world. We are the minority, the few, who are willing to hallucinate there could be a better future. Instead of just daydreaming of what could be, we endure the vulnerability and exposure it takes to make it real. We are the evolutionary hunters. The most important people in the world because entrepreneurs are the only source of consistent, positive human evolution, and we always will be.

794 - Too Much Pressure Breaks Teams

vendredi 29 avril 2022Duration 11:04

In the high-pressure and high-stakes of running a business, it can be challenging to deal with the mistakes your team makes.

In my twenties, I am embarrassed to admit that I caused a lot of collateral damage to my team by blowing up, making knee-jerk decisions about redeployment, and not realizing that the mistakes were the result of the pressures of the business.

Now that I have grown businesses over the last three decades, I have come to learn one fundamental truth about growing a team and making the impact that you want as an entrepreneur...

Too much pressure will break your team, and you can make it worse if you're not careful.

In this podcast, I explain how.

793 - Let Your Team Hold You Accountable

mardi 26 avril 2022Duration 13:05

This podcast is specifically for my 20-year-old self...

When I first started my entrepreneurial career as a leader growing a business, I learned a ton of lessons. I struggled with immaturity, short-sightedness, and a lack of leadership. The more I have walked this path, the more I have learned about what it means to be a true leader.

One of the areas where I have felt this the most, and one of the most important lessons I've learned in entrepreneurship, is to let your team hold you accountable.

In this podcast, I will explain why.

792 - "A-Players" Fear This More Than Anything

vendredi 22 avril 2022Duration 11:34

There is one simple thing that the team members you want to recruit, hire, and bring into your company fear...

And this might shock you.

It's underutilization.

A person with talent, skills, abilities, and a desire to contribute is someone we call an "A-Player". They are the kind of team member that you want on your team. They work hard, they deliver quickly, and they are motivated to help your business grow.

There is one thing, however, that entrepreneurs need to be especially careful of when it comes to these A-Player team members...

Make sure they are fully utilized, or else!

In this episode of the Momentum Podcast, I will show you exactly why you must fully utilize your team, and why the opposite is their greatest fear.

Entrepreneurs are physiologically sensitive momentum based beings and we are highly sensitive to constrain.

This is the reason that I created the Natural Thirst Challenge

Water is the ultimate performance enhancer because it doesn't matter what you eat, what supplements you take, or how well you take care of yourself, if you aren't hydrated you aren't optimized.

Even if you have tried to drink more water and have found it difficult, once you reawaken your Natural Thirst, you will drink more water than you ever thought possible.

In this episode of the Momentum Podcast, I share the history of the Natural Thirst Challenge and why water is the ultimate productivity hack for entrepreneurs.
