Come join us this week to discuss healing with homeopathy from mold toxicity!Dr. Bahr & Jody cover:• Jody shares a little bit about how mold impacted her family.• It all comes down to susceptibility in how mold will affect you as an individual.• Detoxing mold… how forcing the body to detox faster than it’s able to, might not be the best option.• How homeopathy can be used to address mold toxicity by healing the body slowly and gently.• How ultimately, living in a moldy environment isn’t healthy for anyone and how it can actually be an obstacle to achieving full healing with homeopathy.• Even though we shouldn’t be living in a moldy primary environment, mold is everywhere and part of this planet - the goal is to become more resilient to future exposures.—--------------------------------As always, we invite you to be our partners in advocacy and education by following, sharing, rating, and reviewing. Season 1 Summer Rewind: Episode #6 Chasing a Diagnosis25 Jun 202400:24:38

As the Mom & Doc Talk Podcast takes a break over the summer, we are excited to re-air some of our most popular episodes! In episode #6 "Chasing a Diagnosis", Jody shares all of the steps she took to get a diagnosis of PANS. It took a lot of doctors, a lot of medications, and some seriously challenging things for Jody.

Some of the things we cover are:

  • Expecting to see answers on an MRI and bloodwork
  • Asking for help from a provider that doesn’t “believe” in PANDAS or denies that it is real, even when there are positive tests for an infection with no typical signs of an infection
  • Providers still denying it, even when the antibiotics they prescribed get rid of all symptoms
  • Finding out a cough was a tic
  • Never-ending referrals to more specialists who don’t have answers but won’t talk about PANDAS
  • Never-ending antibiotics that have diminishing returns
  • Jody felt like maybe she was crazy and nothing was wrong, especially as doctors kept offering her excuses for why these sudden changes in her daughter were normal
  • Tonsils and adenoids and whether to remove them
  • Being told she didn’t have PANDAS even when strep was found and titers were elevated
  • Deciding to do the Cunningham panel (more details in the next episode!)
  • The frustration of seeing all the different providers and treating everything as if they were separate issues even though they came on all together
  • The challenge of taking a kid who could “hold it together” in the doctor’s office, making it look like Jody was crazy or making things up, and getting accused of Munchausen-by-proxy

* How homeopathy is recommended to people

* What is and isn’t homeopathy (hint, not all things natural are homeopathy, it is about how something is being used)

* What homeopathy ultimately addresses - susceptibility - the most vital component to recovery from PANS, no matter what your triggers are

* Homeopathy healing people as a whole person, not targeting individual parts as if they are separate

* What classical homeopathy is (compared to other types of homeopathy)

Episode #73 - The Difference Between a True & False Acute Illness08 Oct 202400:21:46

Today Dr. Bahr and Jody come together to talk about an important topic in homeopathy and PANS/PANDAS: Acute illness!! There are two different types of acute illness we see, and how you approach each with homeopathy may be very different. Come and learn with us!

We cover:

  • An explanation of what it means when we say “true” acute, or “false” acute, and the main differences between the two.
  • When to address acute illness with your homeopath (hint, hint, it’s usually a good idea to do so ASAP).
  • How remedy changes may be needed, and why.
  • Jody gives her momma-take on how this topic can be a little hard to grasp, and how she has leaned heavily on her homeopathic provider in these moments to help figure things out.
  • The reality that sometimes medication may be necessary too, depending on the illness. But also that medication can create a more complex state in the body.

Today we talk about the different ways people can respond to homeopathic remedies. There are several things that can happen with the right remedy (and a few with the wrong remedy). We talk:

  • Therapeutic aggravations (and how to manage them)

  • How responses can change over time

  • Return of old symptoms

  • Close but not quite right remedy

  • Provings
